I bought my wife the Dyson V15 Detect Absolute when it first came out as an upgrade from the V8. She absolutely loved it apart from one thing...the trigger button. When she saw the new Gen5detect, without a trigger button, she had to have it. This is alleviated on hardfloors using the hardfloor head.- The stand has no additional slots for any additional purchased accessories.Overall, it is a very worthwhile upgrade and investment.

I am very pleased with this vacuum and easily 5 stars. I will say only 2 things to improve. One is I could not register it on the app as the app did not include this latest model. Also went to get Dyson Handstick Light Pipe Crevice Tool but the v15 version does not fit and as yet not available for gen5...... I had to return the accessory.... hopefully it is in the pipeline (no pun intended). But exceptional vacuum.

I’m very happy with my Dyson. In the past I had a pull around type vacuum cleaner and was finding it hard to lug around having back issues. The Dyson is perfect for me to use. It’s powerful, with great attachments I especially love the pet hair attachment - AMAZING! Easy to clean and store.

I did the right thing buying direct from Dyson and getting the extra fittings. From the moment I switched it on I was surprised at the suction power and the light weight for easy use.I was happy with our last Dyson, but this one is way better in every feature.
This model I purchased cleaning wise is absolutely fabulous however I know it is only 3.5kgs in weight but I wasn't thinking when I got it the fact I has torn Rotator Cuffs in both shoulders & upper arm problems I find it very heavy to use. There is no way I can vacuum on the Medium or Boost Cycles I can only just manage the Eco Cycle. I should have just stuck to my barrel type Dyson Vacuum & just updated.I would definitely recommend this Dyson product to a friend as long as they did not have any shoulder or arm problems.I should have returned the product within the six weeks & changed to the new Dyson updated barrel type.
I brought the Dyson Gen 5 two weeks ago and we love it. This our 6th Dyson vacuum and we are massive fans. We have two cats who constantly shed hair. The Gen 5 picks up so much hair and our carpets and flooring are so clean. The machine is easy to use and not heavy. Love it xx
First cordless vacuum and Dyson we have owned. Very happy with the features, especially the light which shows up every speck of dust. We have a long-haired border Collie and I didn't realize how much hair he drops on the tiles and carpet until I used this vacuum. The only problem I found was with the Fluffy Optic cleaner head. The small rollers at the front clog up with dog hair after a couple of hours use. i had to snap the rollers out to remove it which I was reluctant to do as it will probably weaken the housing over time. Maybe something to consider on the next model.

I feel the Gen5 is an amazing vacuum and have definitely noticed the difference from my previous model. It is heavier than previous models I've owned but it seems to glide over the floors so much smoother and is easy to push. I love not having to hold the button on and have been impressed with the laser and dirt detection monitoring (I had initially thought these would be gimicky).I would definitely recommend and am glad I purchased this model. My fifth Dyson vacuum cleaner and it is the best by far. I thought it might be heavy to handle but it is not. It The suction is powerful and does the job well. The stand provided is excellent.
