She loves the ability to control the fan via the Dyson app and monitor the air quality and adjust it per her needs. Anyone with allergies or just wants to breathe cleaner, this is something that definitely meets and exceeds those requirements. I own other Dyson products and this one is of the highest caliber of quality and performs as Dyson advertises. Do not hesitate and go out and purchase one and try for yourself, 30 day money back guarantee, the quality and performance that the newest Dyson air purifier will not disappoint.

I bought this primarily to remove cooking smells in my condo since there in no window or exhaust in my kitchen. It doesn't work for that. Doesn't matter if I turn it on manually or put it in auto. It does not remove the smell from the air. In automatic, it does not even sense the odors and turn itself on. When I open my doors/windows for fresh air, it does kick on then and start running. It is quiet on the lowest 4 settings but at 5 it is noticeably noisy. It might make good background white noise for sleeping. It is large and heavy, and quite cumbersome to move around. The plug is very bulky so not easy to plug it in behind furniture. The controls are intuitive and easy to operate.

I have 5 dyson products overall. A vacuum, a fan and 3 tower air purifiers. Two of which are TP04 Pure Cool Link Towers. I have very bad allergies which lead to asthma attacks. The air purifiers in particular are the reason I can be comfortable in my own home because whatever pollutant comes inside is quickly dealt with and I don't end up having a severe asthma attack. My life is better with them as I have them strategically placed around my home so I can move through it without concern.

We bought one of the purifier and coolers and it's the worst piece of crap we ever bought(€549). A €10 fan would have been more efficient. I googled how to lower the cooling temperature and the remote that everyone had was different to one with our system. I tried downloading the user manual and it was if no benefit to our issue. I emailed the customer care (don't know why they call it that, still haven't heard anything from them at least two months now, all I asked was could they forward on instructions of how to lower the cooling temperature as it never went below 26° after having it on for a while, it was heating up the room instead of cooling it). Excellent Product, Been using it for a week so far and my allergies haven't acted up.Upon receiving, the setup was easy. Opened up the box and took everything out, All parts were packed properly to avoid any damage durning shipping. My only gripe is that Dyson didn't ship in a non-discrete brown box so my Purifying fan was in plain sight so everyone knows I bought one and even the delivery guy had questions about it. The only assembly was the two filter halves which was easy to snap into the fan base. After that, plug in the purifier and download the app ( I downloaded both the IOS and Android versions ). The only assembly was the two filter halves which was easy to snap into the fan base. After that, plug in the purifier and download the app ( I downloaded both the IOS and Android versions ). Which was easy to find and install. I initially setup with the IOS app creating an account and following all the steps, after a few minutes downloading new updated firmware for the machine my Purifier was ready to go and was cleaning my room. That night I noticed that the air in my room felt cleaner, no sneezing or runny nose . I usually have seasonal allergies and dust allergies. The night mode was really quiet which was great, did not keep me up with an excess humming, in night mode it drops the fan speed to 4 if it was higher. The next day I found out that the purifier was sampling the air and registering what it was detecting. It was awesome that I can now see what impurities are in my air. If you either open up the app or use the lcd display on the front with the remote there are a few graphs that show how the machine was cleaning out and cooling the room. I also found out that there is an Amazon echo skill that lets me use my echo dot to control my purifier, which was the best thing for me since I have other Smart devices that I already control with my echo. After installing the skill, I used the voice commands to turn it on/off, raise or lower the speed and even have it oscillate ( you can say turn or spin and it does the same thing ) Another cool feature is that there is a wide range of motion for the purifier so it can basically rotate 350 degrees. Almost a full circle so it can cover the whole room, not just a small section. You can also schedule an on/off times so it can automatically work and you don't have worry about it. Another feature is just using the purifying feature without the fan, it redirects the air out the sides of the machine instead of the front which is great if you don't need the cooling feature. I cant say anything about the filter life yet since its been a week but so far running it 8 hours a day for 7 days the percentage of the filter according to the app is at 98%, so we will see how the life of the filter lasts.Overall the Purifier is an excellent addition to my house and helps with all my allergies. I recommend this to others that need a excellent purifier with Smart features and a great design.
Dyson products are pricey, but the company certainly invests in clear instructions and customer service, and good design. This purifier was easy to set up and straightforward to use, and so far it seems like a very good product. I like the extra information about room conditions. The only gripe so far is aesthetic - the machine is bigger and chunkier than a regular tower fan and seems quite conspicuous. I wish there had been more colour options. The grey-white combo was the most subtle option available at the time, but a single colour (e.g. all grey or all black, as with the regular tower fans) would blend into the room better. It is actually my mom's machine -- she is a senior who is impatient when it comes to figuring out how things work, but fortunately is a big ... It is actually my mom's machine -- she is a senior who is impatient when it comes to figuring out how things work, but fortunately is a big "fan" of her regular Dyson fan lol, and the general controls work the same way (phew design consistency is appreciated). Unfortunately, she has trouble seeing the display and its extra information because it is located near the floor, she can't lean down that easily, can't read small details etc. That said, a simpler, more accessible solution would take a different design. As long as she can "contract out" to me to check or change things when I come over (e.g. cleaning it and changing the filters will come next, but not yet), she's very happy with this :-)
Up until about 2 weeks ago, I would have told you that my experience with the Dyson TP04 was positive. I bought the device in early May and despite some wonky controls and the device experiencing a couple "faults" in the middle of the night that caused me to unplug/replug the device, the device was exactly what I wanted: a quiet fan that makes an appreciable difference in the air quality. About two weeks ago, however, all of that started to crumble...CLICKING NOISE - About two weeks ago, the device began to make a fairly loud clicking noise when oscillating through a certain range of motion. This would come and go, but would ultimately get louder and more persistent. The noise was somewhat akin to a water sprinkler "chk-chk-chk" noise. I keep the device in my ... I keep the device in my living room and it was loud enough to hear the fan (at setting 4/10) and over my TV despite being about 8 ft away.WHINING NOISE - About a week ago, the device began making a high-pitched whining noise. This noise is similar to the motor whine of a power drill only much louder. Again, this was loud enough to hear 8 feet away and with my TV on. I also want to stress that the device makes this noise simply by being plugged into the wall, not just when oscillating or being powered on; if it's plugged into the wall, it's screaming at me. Not exactly a "set it and forget it" device anymore.DEAD IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS - The device completely failed this morning. Plugged it into the outlet this morning and I was shocked to hear no whining noise. Turns out it wasn't because my device had miraculously healed itself; nope, the device is completely dead now.NO WARRANTY - I contacted Dyson earlier this week about the whining noise and I got the impression that support immediately was familiar with the issue. However, despite my device showing in warranty on Dyson's own website; they are refusing to honor it because of the Amazon seller I bought the device through. When I purchased the device, I paid full retail price ($549) and purchased the device "New" from a reputable Amazon seller. According to Dyson, this voids the warranty because the device could have been "improperly stored" prior to my purchase among other arbitrary reasons they think that I am somehow responsible for. They did let me know that they would be happy to charge me to repair their defective product. In summary, great device until it wasn't. I am deeply disappointed at the quality of the device and even more disappointed that a company like Dyson has such little regard for their consumer. I got about 45 good days out of the device and 15 fair ones before it became a statuesque reminder of the worst purchase I made this year.
As a Dyson owner I was well aware of the brand’s reputation for quality and attention to detail, so when I decided to purchase a purifier I knew I’d start with Dyson. Living in an apartment, my bedroom is adjacent to our complex parking garage. During the spring and summer I often leave my window open, leading to an accumulation of dust and fine particles on my bedroom furniture. This machine has met and exceeded my expectations, but with a few hiccups along the way. Setup was easy, but took a little while to get the machine synced with my Dyson app. During the first week of use I’d often log-in to the app to find that the machine wasn’t connected, but a reset of the app often fixed that. Integration with Alexa is a nice touch but you have to know exactly what to ... Integration with Alexa is a nice touch but you have to know exactly what to say to get the machine to do what you want. Integration with Siri or Google Home would be a plus, and something that I’m sure will come in time. The As a purifier, the Pure Cool TP04 has done a fantastic job of reducing the dust and fine particles that I wipe up every week. I sleep easier knowing that the machine quietly humming along next to my bed is removing not only the things I can see, but the other pollutants I can’t. The screen mounted on the front of the machine is a fantastic touch, allowing you to see at a glance the air quality over the last 24 hours. As a fan the machine lives up to the Dyson standard. The new backward air flow feature is a nice touch (the machine adjusts to force air out through the grey slit that runs along the outside of the oval void), but I find I the ambient air flow feature of the Pure Hot+Cool Link more useful. Also, when switching from forward air low to backward air flow you can hear the machine’s little plastic gears creaking and groaning which is surprising coming from a Dyson. The sound was bad enough that the first time I activiated the backward air flow feature I thought the machine was getting stuck. I’m sure it will be an expensive repair if/when those little gears give up the ghost after the warranty expires.
The Dyson TP04 is one of those products you didn’t know you absolutely needed until you finally got one.Struggling with indoor allergies from time to time, I decided to get an indoor air purifier for the living room. The app even lets you know when the carbon or HEPA filter needs replacing, so you never go without purified air. We’re going on 7 months of ownership with 1 filter change since we’ve owned it. The life of the Dyson filter will last much longer if you don’t run it 24/7 like we do though. It was incredible to see the amount of debris the HEPA filter alone was able to capture in just 6 months. Thick, almost carpet-like strands of debris were visible in the used filter. A true visual representation of how the Dyson TP04 improves not only indoor air quality, but your quality of life.We loved the TP04 so much, we bought the HP04 for our upstairs. I highly recommend this product to anyone and everyone, even those who do not have indoor allergies.Air is one of the most important resources we have, why wouldn’t you want it to be pure?
