Dyson Purifier Cool TP07 White/Silver Air Purifying Fan
Dyson’s latest purifiers combine intelligent sensing with an advanced filtration system. Two phases of purification sit within our fully sealed filtration and airflow system. So what goes inside, stays inside. A HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size. Then powerful Air Multiplier technology purifies the whole room and cools you. ¹ ¹In Maximum setting. Tested for air projection (DTM801), purification coverage in a 2860ft3 room (TM-003711). ²Requires device to run app. Wi-Fi or mobile data, Bluetooth 4.0 support, and iOS version 10 or Android version 5 (or above). Standard data and messaging rates may apply. Automatically senses, captures and traps pollutants for cleaner air. HEPA filter removes 99.97% of particles 0.3 microns in size. Intelligently purifies and cools you. The purifier is fully sealed, so what goes inside stays inside. Two phases of purification sit within our fully sealed filtration and airflow system. Air Multiplier technology generates the circulation power to draw distant pollutants into the machine, projecting purified air throughout the whole room. ¹ Automatically senses and reacts to changes in air quality - then reports pollution in real time on LCD screen and on your MyDyson app. ² Choose between Fan mode for direct cooling with your choice of 0 to 350° oscillation and Backwards airflow mode to purify without cooling.

The features on this fan/purifier are incredible – Wi-Fi connectivity, a great app with full remote control and complete history of air quality monitoring, even Siri Shortcuts support – but all of that ends up being for nought as I find the noisy whine this purifier makes to be unbearable. Even at the lowest speeds, it’s always making this whirring sound. I tried two different models and both had the same problem to varying extents. At high speeds, sounds like a miniature jet engine, or a vacuum. If you search around online for “Dyson cicada Reddit”, you’ll find tons of people going through endless warranty exchanges trying to resolve this problem, apparently caused by some kind of systemic defect in the motor causing this continuous cicada-like buzzing, whirring, ... I finally gave up, returned this, and got a Dreo Max Smart WiFi fan, which has a lot of similar features at a third of the price, and pushes twice as much air while being practically silent on all but the highest speeds. Sweet relief. I hope Dyson gets their motor issues worked out in future models, as I really wanted to love this product.

Loved this fan until I didn’t. Fan is still blowing but I have no idea if it’s purifying. Followed all the steps for cleaning and changing the filters but it’s still reading 999 and showing wonky numbers on the display. It’s now just out of warranty (of course). After going though the troubleshooting with the online “chat”, they determined I needed to have it repaired and even set an appointment for me. Drove 1 hour 15 minutes to service center to drop off fan on a Saturday. I was told someone would call with the status in a few days. 2 weeks later and with some aggravation, I was able to determine the status was “released”. Still no call from the service center. Drove back to pick up fan and employee told me the motherboard was trashed and unrepairable. That’s it. ... MoreLoved this fan until I didn’t. It’s still blowing air so I’ll continue to use it as a “fan”, not a “purifier” until the brand new filters I just replaced are done but a $20 box fan will work just as well. Done with Dyson.

I bought this purifier in July 2021 and it hasn't done anything for me in the 6 months I've had it. The sensor consistently reads as green, or "good" air quality, even when my Blueair purifier reads at red for poor air quality. I cook a lot, and on occasion my kitchen and living room turn smokey. Guess what the Dyson purifier read as while the entire room was foggy and my Blueair purifier was red and working overtime to clean the air? The Dyson still read as GREEN, or good air quality! I've opened the filter to check if I forgot any plastic wrapping in it, and the filter is spotless. I doubt that my home air is that clean though, because I've been having horrible allergies (thus the reason for buying this Dyson air purifier). This "purifier" claims to clean the air ... Massively disappointed in this product and customer service, and I wish I never bought this. Look elsewhere, or buy yourself a Blueair purifier. It's collected so much dust and is cheaper than the Dyson too!

This is my first Dyson product, and I have to say I'm thoroughly impressed.Initial set up is simple, pop in the filters, plug it in and you're off. Getting it connected to your phone takes maybe 2 minutes. It isn't very loud at full speed, it sounds similar to a gaming computer's fans running at full tilt. It may be too much if it's close to you but if your house/apartment is large enough to set it off in a corner you probably wont find it very loud. It moves a good amount of air in the forward position, though running it in reverse mode it does move less but I don't typically do that. If I need to run it in reverse (to evacuate smoke from an overcooked dinner) it would make more sense to me to just flip the entire unit. It isn't heavy or bulky at all so that ... If I need to run it in reverse (to evacuate smoke from an overcooked dinner) it would make more sense to me to just flip the entire unit. It isn't heavy or bulky at all so that would be easiest and probably the most effective. The sensors do a good job picking up air particulates. I use an ecig at my computer and it'll pick up particulates from that at about 4 feet away. Impressive since it's blowing the vape cloud away from itself and is still able to sense particulates in the air.I find the phone app to work a little bit better than the actual physical remote, but specifically when turning on/off the oscillation. The phone app lets you double tap to force the motor to rotate it the other direction immediately. The physical remote requires you to wait for the display to tiimeout (about 5 seconds) if you want change the degrees of rotation or change direction. Not a big deal and I doubt many people would be bothered by that, mostly when trying to get the airflow direction "just right." You might be better off just picking the unit up and adjusting it slightly. The app also has no trouble connecting to the unit even when not on the same network. I have a ecobee camera and I wanted to check on the latency while off my wifi. Tapping the oscillation button, then switching to the ecobee live view and the fan was already oscillating. That's pretty quick for remote access. One thing I did notice, and I don't know if this is a bug or something in my apartment. The first 5 days of use with the 24h monitoring turned on, there was a spike at 8am and 8pm of air particulates. At no other time during the day was any spike recorded, and it happened 5 days in a row. It hasn't done it since, but I found that to be a bit strange. If you want a sleek looking, tech connected, well performing air purifier, it's hard to beat this one.Oh, and yes my air does smell cleaner. I run mine sun up to sun down, and it has helped reduce the cat smell in my apartment.
I’ve owned an air purifier by another maker for a long time. It finally dead and I went about 2 years without a purifier. I noticed the different of not having purified air. After doing the research, A Dyson was the one I wanted, but the PRICE!!! After 6 months I finally made the jump, and I’m very glad I did!! This unit is great, and it actually does a better job at purifying the air than my old one. But the best feature for me is the Wi-Fi connection. It allows me to control the unit when I’m not at home, which is a GREAT feature. I’ve had the unit for three months and I’m sleeping better and not waking up with a stuffy nose. I would have to give it a 10/10, just which the price was a little more affordable.
As others have mentioned, the machine does develop a high pitched whining noise after a few months of use. This is my 3rd unit with the SAME problem! And no Dyson, it has nothing to do with fan speed. If left on level 1, the unit will be silent but will eventually develop the whining noise within 10-30 minutes. As I keep telling support - this is an ENGINEERING problem that needs to be addressed. Such a shame because it does a great job at purifying and there's no machine like it, but this noise basically makes it unusable. My unit is still under warranty and I will chat with support. I may even request the model below this one because this product is very subpar for a $600 machine.
I bought this purifier a couple of months back, right around Holiday 2021. And right out of the box it made me feel better instantly about my air, but a couple of months in I had a bug that is apparently common where all levels were reading 0, and it took me a week to realize my purifier was lying and the levels were not at 0, so i reset and fixed the problem.Fast forward to this week and my purifier's VOC levels were slowly climbing... all week I'm opening my window, airing out my room, and trying to get to the bottom of what's causing this rise. I tore apart my room, removed the mattress, slept in the guest room, next day moved certain furniture out and unplugged everything, even turned off the heater in my house in case maybe there was some leak? I tore apart my room, removed the mattress, slept in the guest room, next day moved certain furniture out and unplugged everything, even turned off the heater in my house in case maybe there was some leak? Then it happened, my purifier said it was having trouble connecting to my app - and to troubleshoot it, I simply unplugged and plugged it back in, and like magic the levels dropped back down to normal and my air was... clean? was it clean this whole time? look at the graph in my review, it SHOT DOWN? How is this possible? Is the purifier inaccurate again? It lied to me before so how am I supposed to know if it's lying again?I am living in a space that has had surface mold before, and is potentially causing me health problems, I had professionals come in and redid my entire space, and don't want something like this to happen again, that's why I bought this purifier, but now I can't trust its' accuracy. I think this would be a fantastic product if they could work out all of these bugs. But as it stands, I cannot recommend it.
I got a brand new model in store and unfortunately, it didn't work out of the box. The air quality sensor was defective and it showed no readings. Since I live in Brooklyn, the only option to fix the problem is to physically drop it off at Dyson's service center in NJ. It took me 3 hours to get there. I was told by online customer representatives that it'd be fixed in a day, which of course didn't happen. After about 2 weeks of enduring allergies, I finally got a working model. Although Dyson is nice enough to resend me a working fan, I would never buy from them again knowing that when things break, it's a pain to get them fixed. The wind out of the fan was pretty weak even at max speed but it surely is noisy. I would recommend buying a <$100 air purifier + a cheap fan. Wouldn't look as nice but will get the job done and save you hundreds of bucks. If I have to be positive, it's all about the "smart" features built into the Dyson app. You can control the fan with the free Dyson app. The feature I use the most is customizing wind direction. It would be cool though, if the fan could rotate to follow people in the room so I don't need to re-focus the wind direction every time I move to a different spot. When the air quality sensor is working properly, the app displays useful real time and historical data of my room's air quality vs the air quality of the area of where I live. It also has auto on/off function so the fan will detect and filter bad air only when necessary, saving some power.

The default view on the fan’s LCD display is the fan speed and air quality graph. The “i” button on the remote will cycle through the individual air quality metrics and then display information on the remaining filter life and, finally a display to indicate whether Wi-Fi is enabled before returning to the default display. In “auto” mode, the fan speed will increase when poorer air quality is detected to facilitate removal of airborne pollutants. It also effectively turns the fan off when air quality is good and only draws in as much air as needed to perform air quality monitoring. In “night” mode, the fan will use quieter fan settings (when in auto mode) and dim the light on the fan’s front LCD display. There is also a sleep timer to turn off the fan automatically after 1, 2, 4, or 8 hours.Filter life will depend on the air quality in your home. Mine has been running continuously for over a week with only occasional excursions into the yellow air quality range and the unit reports only 5% of the filter life has been used. Under these conditions, I expect to replace the filters about every 6 months. The iPhone app is intuitive, well designed, and has considerably more features than the remote and can be used to monitor and control multiple Dyson devices remotely. You can set up a weekly schedule for your fan and enable voice commands using Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, or Apple Siri.Overall:This is the most useful and versatile Dyson fan that I have owned. The replaceable filters and air quality monitoring are a great comfort. I delete most product-specific smartphone apps shortly after installation as I find them only marginally useful. The Dyson Link app is a notable exception and will stay on my phone.
I own one of their humidifiers, a lady model air purifier, their hair dryer… that being said I am no longer a dyson person nor do I trust them. I have no issues with the previous model.. I went to buy 2 more to find they only carry this new model air purifier. It’s 100.00 less then the previous and the store model seemed cheaper and less quality. However I trusted dyson and bought 2 of them. These are way lower quality. The first one out of the box broke it does not turn on the track, it’s broke. Opened the second box no problem till 3 mins later the fan started making a really log noise it’s a bang/ scrap noise. It won’t stop despite everything I’ve tried. I wish dyson ignore those who complain about expensive fan since they are not their there target tax bracket customer audience. I will spend 600 700 on a great fan like the last model. I will not spend 550 on this cheap corner cutting model. It ways way less, it just has a cheap feel if you complain lire it to the previous model.. they lowered the price and the quality. Very very very disappointing .. these will both be returned and I’ll be searching for a ne low company who does not cut corners. And dyson please do not respond back about quality, I own a tone of your stuff and I can tell you your quality has dropped for a fact cause I see it I can feel it. I am so upset that you were willing to do this. The quality of these new one are not even close to the quality of the previous model which was fine no need to replace it. I’ll never buy dyson again, I’ll keep all of my current dyson air purifiers since I have so many till they break and them move on!
