This unit has been described as over engineered - I might tend to agree with that statement!I purchased this unit mostly b/c the “AM” heaters are no-longer being made, and mostly I was only seeing “refurbished” units for way too much. This is our 3rd Dyson heater. This one is very smart, with an App (if you don’t use app, not a problem) but it regulates the heat very well, shuts off after so many hours, is programmable. Etc. highly recommend for any room, and is safe to use. The best in Winter, and when hot days of summer come-it cools nicely (not AC kind of cooling). Love this product, and even tho it is pricy, it will save you when you lower your thermostat-like we do. I love to sleep without heat blasting at night, this is perfect for a little heating up in am bf you get out of bed the area in which you live. Enjoy!

Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in over 5 decades. I bought this heater/purifier and when unboxing it noticed one of the filter shrouds was broken. I could not return as it was the last one in stock. I spent 2.5 hours on hold with Dyson just to have the agent tell me she could not send the broken part #969156-01. I was instructed to take it to a repair center or return it. Seriously Dyson???? You’re a big enough company and charge enough to provide better service.

After a year of owning the product, it suddenly stopped working. I could just have a faulty unit but its been sent back to Dyson to check and they said there is no issues with itI brought this unit for my nursery but have been unable to use it in there as it’s so noisey. When in auto mode and on startup it sounds like plastic is snapping internally. When it turns on the almighty cracking sound it makes is so loud it wakes my baby up and turns on the sound detection night light in the room. We bought this as our office can get very cold in winter and hot in summer and our normal heating and cooling methods were not working.Firstly this appliance will not do the work of a heat pump. But as a fan it is great. We set our temperature and set to auto and it seems to help make the room more comfortable. We use it in our room at night on sleep mode, very quiet and helps keep the room feeling fresher. The Dyson app makes it simple to control and see what toxins the filter is pulling out of the air.We expect to own this appliance for a number of years so didn’t mind the higher price bracket.
I expected more from this product for a MSRP of ~$750. The "cool" setting doesn't really cool down the air, as the moniker would suggest, it just pushes out air like a regular fan. It "cools" you about as much as a regular box fan would. If I didn't know the price of the fan, I would say it was worth maybe $500, taking into account the air purifier+fan combo. It can be quiet on low setting, it does get quite noisy when you want a strong stream of air, which it does provide. There's no air chopping noise like a regular fan, so there's that. I would say the price is for the brand and not for the product, over-priced in my opinion. Also, 2 year warranty? That doesn't sound very good for a product with such a hefty price tag. This was the perfect addition to my bedroom. It does wonders for the air quality and the heat/cool function is wonderful.Please disregard the complaints about not being able to control the heat with the app. When you set it up, the first notification you get is about why the heat can only be controlled on the device or with the remote.I’m glad I caught this on sale, it was worth every penny.
Dyson products are expensive. That said, I have bought vacuums and fans and heaters over several decades—and all are still in operation and work well! This purifier fan is on another level. I needed a heater and fan for my 20’x 25’ open living area with a 10’ ceiling. The heating system really works quickly to warm up the living area. The remote works with a digital screen on the unit as well as a phone app. The fan strength is typical Dyson, and I expect it to be effective in cooling the area in the summer. With the sale price offered by Walmart I knew I had to take advantage!
Previous to the HP07 I uses an HP01 in my bedroom as the only source of heat in the winter. It worked so well! My room is pretty large and has a weird shape, typical heaters struggle to throw heat properly. It all stays trapped in my conjoined office. With the Dysons having a high powered fan it can actually spread the heat throughout the room way more efficiently. It's been about 3 weeks with the TP07 and the experience has been even better. To me, it seems like the heating elements don't have to stay on as long to maintain the temperature set. It's much quieter. And the added connectivity is really nice to have too.
