I say this because I am currently trying to learn how to get less frizz with my 3A-3B curls. So I have been popping out the prongs from the dome and use the dome to create my cast and then I add the prongs back to finish drying and adding volume to my curls. I am also trying to learn how to cut time with drying as well since I have a lot of hair and I get tired of holding the dryer. So far, with proper set up with product and hand dry then using the diffuser I have cut 10 minutes off my time with this new dryer and I am actually patient enough to get a full cast before moving to add the prongs and add the volume. Using the app and the dryer in person, I was able to see each attachments use and setting options. I used the gentle air attachment and to me the dryer was definitely a lot cooler when closer to my scalp. I would also like to add that I like that the dryer illuminates the type of heat setting that is currently being used as it takes the guesswork out of looking directly at the dryer. I used my normal routine for my curly hair and used the newer dryer with diffuser attachment and so far, now that I am properly creating a cast, my hair is on day three and still looks great.The App - I wasn’t going to download the app but I figured it would be good to go ahead and add the new dryer to my list of Dyson products. In the app, you can register your product and learn more about the dryer and the attachments. There is also support option and product settings.Overall, the upgrade to me is so worth it not only for the additional attachments but also having the added scalp protectant which is definitely helpful me no matter what style I chose (straight, curly). I would recommend this product to friends and family.

This automatic changing of temperature gives me that peace of mind that this styling tool is preventing the type of damage I’ve been trying to avoid.I have no experience with the new wave + curl diffuser, but this has become the go to attachment for my wife. She says the way this styles and dries her hair is better than anything she’s tried before to the point she even uses it to style my daughters hair.At the end of the day, this hair dryer is a game changer. There are more features and attachments I haven’t even mentioned in this review, but like all Dyson products, this is in a class of its own.

They are well made, well finished and robust.The only small quibble I had was that the filter casing at bottom of handle seems to click out of place very easily but that could be the way I was holding it.This really is a different machine to any hair dryer I have used before and the effects on my hair are significant; left my hair soft, shiny and my curls held together very well. I took several photos of hair on day one and two, without using any hair protection overnight. My curls were still well shaped and defined.Lastly, the packaging was very well designed and all made from recyclable cardboard - well done.

I like the option of the different attachments and have used them all (although could do with watching some more how to videos I think tk truly get the best out of them)The intelligent heat sensor function which decreases the heat when it detects when the dryer is closer to the scalp is a game changer when drying my little girls hair too and no more protests that it's too hot on her scalp!My hair is wavy, highlighted and prone to frizz and whilst the Dyson did not "cure" my frizz it does give a fast and sleek blow dry with no aching arms!The flyaway attachment is great at reducing the flyaways I usually get.I haven't used it long enough yet to see if it improves the longer term condition of my hair but I feel much happier knowing it dries my hair quickly but with less intense heat than my usual drier and I now always use the Dyson on my young daughters long hair to try to also protect the condition of hers.I would definitely recommend the Dyson super sonic Nural and would advise spending a few mins watching some how to videos to get the most out of the tools but it's also pretty self explanatory if you prefer to just dive straight in and use it like I did.

I am a fan of the diffuser attachment because it comes apart and you can turn it into a dome, it’s basically a 2-for-1. It does a great job of gathering all the hair I want to dry at a time. Although it is not compatible with Scalp Protect mode, I felt like the lowest heat was comfortable for my scalp and I didn’t really feel any burning. I personally use the lowest airflow setting and the lowest heat setting. Each attachment has its own personal default air flow and heat intensity settings. The diffuser attachment originally tells the dryer to use higher flow and heat than I like, but from what I’ve read and experienced, the dryer eventually remembers that I use the lowest settings.Something to note about the lowest air-flow setting is that I hear a loud high pitched frequency. The other intensities don’t have this loud noise, or rather the frequency is higher but less loud and drowned out by the loudness of the mid and strongest air-flow. I exclusively use the lowest settings so while it isn’t a dealbreaker, the high-pitched noise at my preferred settings is a bit of a nuisance.The attachments that come with the Supersonic Nural hair dryer are very easy to attach and remove from the dryer head. They are also clearly marked with the blue icon that designates attachments that trigger Scalp protect mode which are the Gentle air attachment and Styling concentrator. Scalp protect mode uses sensors to adjust the heat setting depending on how close you are to your scalp and you can see what heat setting you’re on in two ways. One is the indicator lights next to the temperature button, and the second way is that the dryer head light will be Red for the hottest or furthest setting, Orange for the midway points, and Yellow for the cooler temp and closest proximity to your scalp. The attachments that are compatible with Scalp protect mode are ones I’m not generally going to use, but again, I like to use the lowest heat setting anyway. When Scalp protect mode is on, you cannot override the flow and temperature settings unless you press the Scalp protect button to turn that feature off.I am still debating if I like the fly-away attachment or not because with my curly hair, I really only want to use the fly-away attachment on my part. I think it might make the top layer a little frizzy, but I can get it to work right if I cover my hair where my curls start. I will add that I believe the fly-away attachment is for straighter hair styles, but my curls start a couple inches away from my scalp and I have a lot of short strays at my part that need some taming. It’s a neat attachment, I just have to use it carefully and dliberately.DESIGN & USER EXPERIENCEThis product looks and feels high quality but I wish it came with a way to store the loose attachments. I enjoy the design, color, and the easy to reach buttons on the handle. The air-flow, temperature, and scalp protect buttons are smaller and on the hair dryer head rather than on the handle. I find most of the buttons / controls to be accessible one handed. Although, I may have preferred more buttons on the handle.FINAL THOUGHTSThe Dyson Supersonic Nural dried my hair in a timely manner and the diffuser attachment gave me nice curls. I will continue to use this Dyson hair dryer on a weekly basis. I think the highest settings are too intense for me so I’ll stick to the lowest settings which offer satisfactory styling results. It also emits that high-pitched tone, but I’ll just have to get over that in time.

The Dyson Supersonic Nural is more powerful than the Dyson Supersonic and it dries my hair much faster. The magnet for the attachments has a stronger hold that prevents the attachments from falling. The light display not only is a great visual cue to tell me how hot is the air coming out of the machine but it also looks super cool!!! The remodeled attachments look more sleek and are more efficient, and the Pause Detect feature (that reduces the air flow and noise when you put the machine down) makes the hair drying experience much more pleasant. After just a few uses, my hair is already looking shinier and healthier and my scalp doesn’t feel itchy or dry anymore. I thought I would never replace my old Dyson, but since I started using the Nural that is the one I am going to stick with.I have to say, Dyson just did, once again, what they do best: to improve on what was already perfection. Ensuring I look after my hair and scalp is a high priority for me, and I would pay extra to ensure I am treating my hair and scalp with the best care possible. I USED to avoid blow-drying on alternate washes to prevent heat damage over time. Taking me about 5 minutes to dry my hair the results were fantastic. My hair felt softer, shinier and well, swishier than usual.This is all thanks to the 'scalp protect mode' that uses a sensor to constantly measure the distance the dryer is from your scalp and adjust the heat accordingly. It's nice to enjoy not getting scorched, and it makes for a nicer drying session. While the colour-changing light indicates the heat level and isn't strictly necessary, it is a fun touch.The excellent functionality doesn't end there. When you pause drying and need to put down the dryer, it has an automatic low power mode that eliminates fumbling with buttons between sections and really speeds things up. It also remembers the mode you last used with each attachment, creating a seamless transition and simplifying the process further.It is expensive, but an investment-and in my view, worth the expense.
