The elf brushes with the black handles are way better than the ones in white. The difference is instantly noticeable the first time you use it. These are still at a bargain basement price and great for travel or any situation that you don't want to risk losing or messing up a higher end brush. These are also great for beginners. Decent brushes for a very affordable price.

Since the brush has an artificial pile, the brush dries quickly on its own in 3 to 4 hours. Its hair is very soft and delicate, very accurately drawn, in the photo you can see how the tips are arranged over the entire working surface in the form of a cascade. I have had this brush for years. It has withheld many cleanings and even looks great after. This brush is great for contour but I love to use it to apply powder. This was one of my first brushes and has been heavily used. The bristles are soft and easy on the skin. I also feel like it transfers products easily and does not get stuck in between all the bristles. This is an awesome brush and I would spend good money for it.

This is supposed to be a contouring brush, but I found that the bristles were too firm for my liking. There is also not enough of a curve, so when I’m trying to contour, it’s hard to have a natural look when it’s so straight. Even if I blend it, I feel like it starts to patch. Maybe I’m just not using the right technique. But either way this is not my favorite brush.

However, the duo fibre, larger shader, and the powder brush keep shedding bristles crazily. Also, after the first clean, the foundation brush seems to loss its softness. The bristles feel completely different than the first time I feel it when I first got the kit. Whenever I use it to apply my foundation, it tends topoke my skin, and my skin gets a little bit irritated from that. Also after the first clean, the tapered blending brush kinda lost its original shape/form. The tip of the bristles used to be fluffy and spread out at the end, but now the bristles are kinda closed inward, which makes the brush lost its original shape/form. Despite those three problems above, I'm absolutely in love with the rest.

Elf brushes are a great value. They are quality made; they get the job done and are budget-friendly! I clean my brushes regularly, and they have lasted me a long time. This is one of my faves and most used. It is perfect for contouring ( 🤫and I use it for bronzing sometime too). I highly recommend elf brushes! ~TGM 💋

e.l.f. has really out done themselves this year and set the bar for affordable and quality products. This contour brush has been a staple in my make up kit for a while now and I love it. It blends the creams beautifully, however, the only thing that I would change about this is the length of the hairs on the brush to make it a little softer and easier to blend with. I feel if they were like 2-3cm longer it would make this brush a 5/5.

Great for strong, dramatic contouring

As a square-faced stage performer, I have to work really hard and need a lot of contouring product to soften those hard angles and edges. I am often frustrated by how my contouring would either be barely noticeable or end up looking muddy from being worked too many times without enough impact and precision. This brush is very dense yet soft to pack a good amount of product on then buff it out. I feel like I have more control with this brush. Just make sure to have a couple of shades to create a gradient effect. It may not be suitable for everyday makeup, but it works when I need it to. And that's all that matters.

Pretty great contour brush

I really really like this contour brush. It really helps you contour your face. I just wish on the other side (the handle) they make it so there’s a brush to smoothly blend out those harsh contour lines without eliminating them altogether. Right now I’m using a overall face brush to do that but it would be cool if the created a contour brush with another brush on the other end.
