I got this foundation because I traveled around the holidays and forgot every bit of makeup that I own, and the foundation that I use religiously is on the pricier side, so I didn’t want to invest in a new bottle when I had plenty at home. I’ve heard some good reviews on this foundation and I trust ELF, so I got this as a substitute. To start off, before you buy this product, TRY THE SAMPLES IF ANY ARE PROVIDED in order to get the correct color! This color looked like a perfect match in the store but there weren’t any testers so I had to blindly buy it. It ended up being MUCH lighter when I swatched it after purchasing. I went ahead and got a darker shade to mix with it after discovering this and everything was okay. I’ve never considered trying ELF makeup products, generally just their brushes. I’ve seen some beauty TikTokers talking the brand up and found this on sale on Amazon for like $2-3 a piece. I got two neutral tones, to try which matches best, and a darker tone for when I use a tan. I am not impressed. Yes, it is “medium coverage”, but still not loving the way it looks. No minimization of pores, lines, and feel like my natural imperfections really show through with this (puffy eyes etc). I used two coats because I have heard their foundations can be “buildable” to full coverage and it didn’t build much at all. The 120 Pearl was almost a perfect color match for me though. The scent this item has reminds me of like a very old lady’s home. Hahahah. Not a scent I would opt ... MoreI’ve never considered trying ELF makeup products, generally just their brushes. Also, once it dries for a few minutes before putting anything else on, it almost looks very powdery, but not like a setting powder, more like unblended powder. I could see where this would be a great starter product for a young girl just getting into makeup, though - not too crazy/bold and very cost effective.

I came across this while I was searching for a foundation for oily, breakout prone, and sensitive skin that is also aging. I came across this stuff, and just bought it today. I applied it in the car, and it did not disappoint me! I bought 220 beige, and my skin just looked like skin, but better. It hid my fine lines and wrinkles, all while providing some much needed moisture. It also kept my skin matte, while giving it a glow. It helped smooth my pores, and even camouflaged the two breakouts that I have on my jaw. The freckles that I have on my nose even came through, without erasing them. After an hour of wear, my skin didn't get oily, which usually happens when I wear foundation. It feels more like a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream than a foundation. The ... MoreI came across this while I was searching for a foundation for oily, breakout prone, and sensitive skin that is also aging. You won't need a lot of product because a little will go a long way. If you pump out too much, it will get messy. There's also a scent, but the scent doesn't bother me.

Once you find your shade it's stunning on. I do not think this would work as well with a lot of acne ( usually acne prone is also oily skin) I heard people say oily skin it may not hold onto as well. I have clear skin. I occasionally get a tiny bump here or there. My skin has no breakouts, it's dry but, I use a skincare line that manages it well so I don't experience those issues. I used the Nars setting powder and it's locked in place with no transfer. It's a solid medium coverage. I have lots of freckles. It evens my skin tone and a flawless finish. Covers up the light acne scarring. But, allows my freckles to peep through ( they are darker) The best of both worlds. It feels so smooth on my face. No breakouts, no irritation. You really just need to try it yourself and get your own opinion.
This is a foundation I've been wanting to try for a very long time. As a person that likes medium with buildable coverage, and a person with big pores and fairly textured skin, a lot of foundations look strange on me. I try multiple methods of application before determining if a foundation works for me or not. This foundation right here, as worried as I was initially that it'd be yet another miss, really impressed me. I applied it with my fingers, too, and it still applied and blended beautifully! Also dried down great and the color, though not my exact undertone, still looked so natural. I bought this to use as an every day foundation and I think this might be it! Will edit my review if the website allows updates. So far, loving it!
If you are going to read 1 review, make it this one. This is the worst foundation I’ve ever used. But I can see why maybe someone else would like it. Read the whole review to see why. For me, it was just awful. It’s patchy. It doesn’t cover anything. Not even the lightest imperfections. And this doesn’t have any oil control whatsoever. I love elf, but this was a HUGE MISS. My favorite foundation is the Mary Kay matte wear foundation. It’s more expensive but it actually works. And you get a lot more product. Now if you’re young and have no imperfections and want a LIGHT coverage foundation to makeup on top of, this is the foundation for you. But if you have any texture to your skin at all, this accentuates then and makes you look very Cakey. Partly because this foundation is not very buildable. If you’re on a budget I would go with the maybelline super stay or the wet n wild photofocus foundation. So overall I hated it. But if you have percent skin and want something light, this is it. Otherwise, STAY AWAY. Also one last thing, it sticks to your skin really well even with primer. So when taking it off, you will be scrubbing your face with a makeup wipe which very much irritates my skin.
So happy I tried the Flawless Satin Foundation. I have mature, dry skin and a fair-light complexion with pink undertones. I purchased two shades - Alabaster (warm) and Beige (cool). Both shades look good, and I alternate depending on what I am wearing. I am pleased with the coverage which lasts all day on me. I tend to go lighter with my foundation as I top with the Camo powder with a light touch. The value for this foundation is phenomenal. Yes, there is a fragrance, but it dissipates quickly. (Normally, I HATE fragrance in my cosmetics and skincare - e.g. I despise Olay's perfumed products and can only go with their fragrance-free versions.) It may not work for everyone, and it was a little challenging to figure out my shade(s). For the price, it's worth a try as ... MoreSo happy I tried the Flawless Satin Foundation. I absolutely love it. I've tried every foundation out there from drugstore to higher end, and this is my favorite. I'm very pale, and a lot of foundations end up too dark or orangey. This one matches perfectly, it's almost undetectableI have pretty bad acne, and this does a good job covering it. It's great for people who want lighter coverage but very easily buildable for more. Has never made me break out, even though my skin is sensitive. I've seen people complain that it sticks to dry patches but I've personally never had that issue. It also stays on pretty well throughout the day, especially with primer and a light dusting of powderIt blends well with a sponge. I have a light skin tone, warm with yellow & olive undertones; combo skin (oilier t-zone with normal perimeter and dry undereyes and lids); some fine lines, and I dermaplane once every 10 days or so. I almost always use sheer- or light-coverage bases, but I do have a few medium- and full-coverage bases in my collection that are fine but they don't wow me--so I thought I'd try this since it has pretty good reviews and you can't beat the price. I had actually tried this foundation once before they changed the name of it--it used to be called 'Satin Finish Foundation' rather than 'Flawless Finish Foundation'--and on a scale of 1 to 10, I'd have given it a 5. Thought maybe the formula had changed and/or improved since I had last used it about a year and a half prior to ... MoreI have a light skin tone, warm with yellow & olive undertones; combo skin (oilier t-zone with normal perimeter and dry undereyes and lids); some fine lines, and I dermaplane once every 10 days or so. Thought maybe the formula had changed and/or improved since I had last used it about a year and a half prior to this...but the formula had actually gotten worse. I felt that this formula was a bit thicker and drier than I remember. This foundation clung to my dry patches the first time around, and it did the same thing now. I get that the descriptors 'satin' and 'flawless' generally mean that you should expect a finish that falls somewhere between semi-matte and true matte, but holy hell, this finish was masklike; it gave full-on cake-face. After a couple hours of wear, to be completely honest, rather than settling into my skin and making it look a bit more natural, it actually felt kind of dehydrating and my fine lines and dry patches were really emphasized. The best way I can describe it is that my skin felt like paper. I'm cool with a matte finish when the situation calls for it, and there are lots of brands that get it right--many of them comparable in price to this foundation. For me, LA Girl's Pro Matte Foundation and Beauty Creations' Flawless Stay Foundation are a couple examples that fit the bill in the drugstore category that give a true-matte finish, are under $10, have an inclusive shade range, and are simply beautiful on the skin. Unfortunately, Elf's Flawless Finish Foundation is a hard pass for me, and I can't recommend it even to people with no fine lines and the oiliest of skin.
I bought this about two months ago and am just getting around to reviewing it because I was still using another liquid foundation when ordered and I wanted to use it for a few weeks before reviewing. The pros are that the shade was a better match than I thought, I ordered "Snow" as I have lighter skin in the winter and although I usually wear more neutral shades, this slightly cool toned formula blended with a darker product to make a nice even base. The packaging is sturdy and doesn't feel or look cheap. There is no strong fragrance and the price point is amazing. The main "Con" for me is that the pump stopped working after only 2 uses with no injury to the bottle and while it would've been suspect I still cleaned it for any possible makeup "clog" or coagulation ... MoreI bought this about two months ago and am just getting around to reviewing it because I was still using another liquid foundation when ordered and I wanted to use it for a few weeks before reviewing. The main "Con" for me is that the pump stopped working after only 2 uses with no injury to the bottle and while it would've been suspect I still cleaned it for any possible makeup "clog" or coagulation and that wasn't the case. The black pump on top seems to have disengaged from the spring and it just turns around and around causing me to unscrew the bottle and use the "stem" to frame product on my face before blending. Since I can't easily apply it to a blender, my hand or another tool I have used it with another foundation because I can't get the right amount of product for coverage without making a mess.Even so, the formula is smooth and I haven't noticed any oxidation after application. After applying it to my face I use either a stiple brush or short fiber contour brush to spread the foundation outward from the center of my face and follow with a blender (using it dry or with a couple sprays from a medium setting spray. Of course I dab and don't pull or swirl the blender (except on my neck) and before it dries completely I add a powder mix like elf's HD setting powder (translucent with the white added in a 2 or 3:1 ratio). The review is long enough without going in to blush variables etc but suffice to say once it sets it lasts 6-8 hours easily but I've been using reading glasses and find that the sides of my nose need touch-ups or a thicker initial application.Lastly, 3 stars for me is average- not bad by any means and as implied I want to give it 3.5 stars after taking off the star for inconvenient and difficult access to the product after only two uses.
