A dermatologist told me over 35 years ago this was the best face washing cream to use for my son who had a touch of excema. I used it too. And have used it day and night since. I am now 60 years old and I'm told regularly that my skin looks great. I love it and will never use anything else.

This is one of the only creamy, moisturising cleansers which doesn't sting my skin. I am allergic to cetyl and cetearyl alcohol and they burn my skin like fire, so it's wonderful that E45 havn't put those into this cleanser (cetyl and cetearyl alcohol are very safe and effective ingredients and most people are not affected by them, but I have to be careful to avoid them because of my skins reaction to them).This is wonderfully soothing, moisturising and doesn't contain anything that upsets my skin. This then means that theres almost no 'slip' or 'viscosity' when you start gently massaging it onto the face (or body). I'd prefer it if there was more viscosity/thickness to the product when in contact with water, so that there is less friction and drag when I massage my face with the fingers. Without any slip/viscosity, you have to be far more careful about accidentally irritating the skin from too much rubbing. Whereas if the product had more viscosity/thickness, the fingers and hands would gently glide across the skin, minimising irritation from rubbing.Other than that, I think it's great, but I am aware of other creamy cleansing washes that have more slip and thickness and which assists you in massaging across the face and body. Sadly, I can't use them because they contain ingredients I'm allergic to. This E45 wash just feels like your dragging water across the face, but in all other respects I think this is a great emollient wash and I do reccomend it.

I have combination skin and as a facewash it has balanced my skin very well considering it used to be oily in some places and dry in others. It cleared my break outs and massively helped with rosacea on my cheeks. I now use it as a body wash too and it cleared up spots/ mild acne on my back and chest. Once you get over the fact that it does not foam at all, it's a great product. It does not leave an oily film nor does it dry skin out. Would love them in bigger sizes as this is about a size of hand soap bottle.
Currently going through radiation treatment and have found my normal body wash was too drying on the area being treated. This E45 wash is very gentle and leaves the skin feeling really hydrated after my shower, no more tightness!
This product is similar to the shower cream but with a pump dispenser. As a skin cleanser it has all the positive features that E45 promised but it is very thick and the pump dispenser stops working long before the bottle has run out. As it is not water soluble it cannot be diluted and washed out of the bottle. It's far too expensive to waste and I am currently using a wooden coffee spatula to try and get the remains of the cream out of the bottle. I shall be going back to the shower cream without a pump dispenser in future and hence the two stars.
As someone with ocd and fits into the generic category of frequent hand washing, but couldn’t use creams or oils as that would irritate me. This has saved my cracked hands! Recommend!
I need this wash from time to time when my skin gets irritated and find it very soothing. The one thing I would recommend is shaking the bottle vigorously before every use. You can even run it under warm water to help liquify it. This does keep the lotion usable to the last few drops. If you dont you end up with a gloop at the bottom of the bottle which is almost impossible to get at. I did try thinning it with water but it was not very successful.
This is a must have product if you have dry skin. It soothes and comforts any soreness. Despite little lather it still washes thoroughly without stripping essential oils. This is one of the few products recommended by Dermatologists, It is not the cheapest product on the market but it is definitely proven to be one of the best. I love the entire range of E45 products. I always buy if I see it at a good price and ensure I have a good stock of it. I also hide it as friends tend to steal it if they find my secret stash!!!
due to an outbreak of itchy dry skin which i get sometimes in extreme hot weather and extreme cold weather, means i have now had to return to using this product. When washing i use a separate shower gel to the underarm area and use this other areas. I also use Femfresh sometimes as well. i think the idea of this emolient leaving a residue on the body might be to form a barrier of protection to the skin, but can feel bit too greasy sometimes and can cause spots.
