I've tried several hooks while catfishing, everything from circle, octopus circle, jackhammers, etc. The Kahle is without a doubt the best hooks for catfish! I hooked a 42 lb blue while standing on top of a spillway, took me almost 2 hours to climb over and down the spillway to the ground where I was able to finally land him. Kahle has NEVER failed!

I use these hooks extensively while fishing in the surf at the outer banks in North Carolina. I am a very active fisherman and prefer to set my own hooks. For that reason I'm not a fan of circle hooks which are used by many of my surf fishermen friends who basically let the fish hook itself. I find that the kahle hooks set and stay hooked much better than the traditional J-hook. I especially like the smaller ones for use on Sea Mullet (Whiting) rigs. I make most of my own leaders and tie a lot of my own rigs and these are far and away the best hooks for my type of fishing (aggressive)

I was looking for a hook that would hold and allow live bait to move about in a natural way. These hooks do the trick. I use them primarily for bass fishing to hold my shiners, they move naturally and stay alive for a long time or until eaten. They are a strong and sharp hook.
These are not your fancy pants twisted turned surgical sharp exotic hooks they are straight forward great live bait hooks. I use on small mouths with thread fin shad the light wire is easy on the baits and the hooks are plenty sharp to punch through and fish stay buttoned up. Match the size hook to the bait used and give a good sweeping hook set. Fish on.
I got the hooks that work very well for my trout fishing. The fish is hooked and isn't going anywhere. The only little issue was that my box was short 6 hooks out of 44/50. Other then that i was glad i got them. Thanx cabels.
THESEHOOKS ARE VERY STRONG AND WELL ROUNDED FOR ANYTYPE OF BIG FISH IN MYOPINION. LANDED A STURGEON USING TWO OF THESE HOOKS(4/0) TIED ON TO A65LB TEST MONO LEADER, AND LINE CONNECTED TO 65LB S/WIRE BRAID. ALSO,SURPRISINGLY WITH SUCH SMALL LIPS, I WAS ABLE TO LAND SOME SMALL PERCHWITH THESE HOOKS. ONCE I RUN OUT, SINCE THERES SO MANY HOOKS PERPACK, I WILL DEFINATELY BUY SOME MORE.
The hooks are sharp out of the packages and have performed well with both live and cut bait. Just remember to go a couple sizes smaller than a regular style eagle claw hook.
This hook is my go-to for inshore saltwater fishing. Works great for speckled trout, redfish and flounder. Very strong, sharp and fairly priced. I have used sizes from 2/0 down to 4 depending on bait size. I like the nickel plated better for saltwater, but they weren't available in size 4. Bronze works well, just rusts quicker. Rinse it with fresh water when done.
Best hook for walleye and crappie fishing. Unique shape of the hook allows for quicker and more reliable hook sets. Fish are typically hooked in the roof of the mouth allowing for release without harming the fish. Works for slip bobber fishing or Lindy rigging. I use #6 Kahles for walleyes and #10's for crappies.
