I just upgraded to the switch 2 from my experience set from years ago. I primarily use it for concerts and performing as a musician in theatre orchestras. I used them for the first time at a Babymetal concert and I loved being able to easily talk to my friends both during the show and in quieter moments. The plugs are super comfortable and never felt like they were going to slip out of my ears. The switching between modes is extremely easy to do while they are in your ears and I paired these with a Loop Link (the neck strap). The strap kept me from being worried about losing these both while they were in my ears and hanging around my neck.

I bought the first generation Loops Switch earplugs to help manage my tinnitus and more importantly, my hyperacusis...both which affect my left ear. And I must say, these earplugs have made a world of difference in enabling me to function out in public without fear of encountering an unexpected loud noise which would otherwise cause lingering pain in my ear that can last for days before it subsides. I simply turn the dial on them to the necessary setting on the fly and I can withstand most loud noises. If I had to make two criticisms, it's that the engage mode makes it a little difficult for me to hear certain speaking voices depending on the person, usually male, causing me to have to ask him to repeat himself. I had just bought the Switch 2 earplugs and am waiting for them to arrive. May as well use those going forward and keep the ones I have now as a spare set.If anyone suffers from tinnitus or worse, hyperacusis, these earplugs make a huge difference...at least they have for me. I'd say give them a try. If they don't work out for you, simply return them.

Great earplugs but the case is just not trustworthy. First of all, I wish it had a stronger loop on the case to secure it via a caribeaner or something similar. that tiny rubber loop seems like it might break, and is too small to fit on an average caribeaner. Secondly, my case is not sturdy enough to handle such tiny earplugs. It would frequently open on its own accord which is not what you want when you're carrying around precious expensive TINY earplugs. Especially when you accidentally drop your case because you cant hook it onto anything and then the case snaps open and the earplugs go flying. That happened to me and now I have no idea where my right earplug went and I am so sad. Not sure what to do because I can't afford a another pair.

They certainly beat cramming those cheap, foam earplugs in your ears. The “Loop” exterior design looks and feels like edgy body jewelry. Figuring out which silicon tips fit my ears best took several tries. In retrospect, I wish I’d taken the whole set to the concert I attended, as I believe that would’ve been the best test environment. Loop uses a subpar transit option (not UPS, FedEx, or even USPS) so shipping time was *painfully* slow. Next day shipping IS available if you order through Amazon but you won’t earn your Loop Rewards. They’re absolutely the coolest looking earplugs on the market and yes, they do what they claim to do but the “3-5 business day shipping” they advertise is optimistic and false. These are definitely a step up from the original Loop Switch. Smaller size, better style, and super easy to switch settings. The only struggle I have is not accidentally switching the setting while inserting each Loop since it’s an easier shift than the original. The comfort and style is worth it if that’s the only struggle! Recommend to all who need some relief from the dynamic auditorial shifts of daily life.
As someone with autism and adhd I get overstimulated in public spaces very quickly, and will avoid or put off certain things (such as grocery shopping or parties) because of how exhausting it is. Loops make all of that bearable, even enjoyable. I had bought a pair maybe a couple years ago, but at some point I lost them with no idea where they might be, and after months of balking on buying replacements i finally gave in. I really like these switch ones because there are many different situations where I would want different levels of noise filtering. I went to a Halloween party and wore them the whole time on the lowest setting, and it was perfect for filtering out background noise but still allowing for easy conversation. I really like these switch ones because there are many different situations where I would want different levels of noise filtering. I went to a Halloween party and wore them the whole time on the lowest setting, and it was perfect for filtering out background noise but still allowing for easy conversation. The other day I went to Target and had them on the highest setting, and I wasn’t exhausted after the trip like I usually am, because I wasn’t having to process every single sound. The one thing I will say is you can still hear some things (such as people talking) on the highest setting, I’m not sure if this is because of the specific switch model (I imagine having the switching mechanism takes away from the filtering quality slightly) or if this is just how they’re supposed to be, however I don’t mind it as it’s quiet enough for me but I’m not completely oblivious to my surroundings, which I think would make me more anxious if anything. If you’re someone who gets overstimulated in public spaces, I think these are totally worth it. They actually make public/social events enjoyable; I didn’t quite realize just how miserable social spaces can make me until I had these. It feels empowering and relieving to be able to control how much I have to process, so I can focus more on enjoying my life.
Longtime loop user with multiple pairs (OG Quiet, OG Engage, OG Experience, Quiet 2).Tried Switch 2 as part of an exchange for Dream (didn't work for me). I am still testing out Switch but find that they're not as good as individual pairs to shut out sound. My Quiet 2 is near silent. Quiet mode on Switch is the equivalent to Engage individual pairs. They don't seem to be rated comparably to their stablemates.I've tried different size tips to make certain it wasn't user error. I also tested these at band practice last night and they were not really what I expected.Sound was too muffled even on Engage to the point where I couldn't hear my amp. Then we had PA issues which caused a ton of feedback. Even when switching to Quiet mode, it wasn't enough to cut the highs ... MoreLongtime loop user with multiple pairs (OG Quiet, OG Engage, OG Experience, Quiet 2).Tried Switch 2 as part of an exchange for Dream (didn't work for me). I bought these for work. I am an admin assistant at a call center, so I am surrounded by people talking loudly on the phone all day. I was hoping that these would help me go a little less crazy, but I am finding that even on the strongest Quiet mode setting, I am still hearing the noises and voices I don't want to hear. The ease and smoothness of the switching mechanism and the gold finish are nice, but at $60, these might not be right for me. I have ordered the Quiet 2 Plus to try. If those don't work, I will be returning my Loops and looking for another solution. Maybe Hearos.
I want to like them but they don’t seal in my ears as well as the Engage 2. I like how the switch 2 has softer tips but they don’t stay in and I don’t get a good seal. I’ve tried all the ear tip sizes as well. The Engage 2 tips make my ears itch a little and I have to take them out frequently due to the discomfort, so I was excited when I felt the Switch tips, but disappointed in the end. Since I am unable to get a good seal, when I switch between modes, it moves the whole piece which impacts the effect. Strongly debating returning them.
This honestly has changed how I live day to day. I had some idea of how overstimulating city living can be for me, but I had no clue how much auditory stimuli impacted my mood and energy levels. Mostly comfortable, stays put thru workouts and eating. I've never been able to say that about an earbud product. I'm not sure if it just takes adjusting to, or if my ear canal is just that small but I've noticed my ear gets slightly irritated after prolonged use/chewing movements. They look good! I got the gold switch 2. I enjoy being able to switch the different settings quickly. I wish I took the leap when I first heard about this brand in 2023. Comes in a cute case, but wish I could pick the case color for that pricepoint.Overall thank you for these cute earplugs. By ... MoreThis honestly has changed how I live day to day.
