EarthQuaker Devices Avalanche Run Stereo Delay & Reverb with Tap Tempo V2
The face of this pedal is in great condition other than the light sharpie marks that can be removed with some cleaner. The sides are a little scuffed, but who looks at the sides anyway! This stereo delay and reverb sounds superb. There is a ton of features in a fairly small package. An expression pedal works great with this pedal; you can set it to to control a knob with your foot while connecting an off/on switch can serve to activate or deactivate the reverb. Crazy setting examples include reverse delay and one to where when you turn the delay off it endlessly repeats the note you turned it off on, until you turn the pedal back on. A pleasant surprise when I got this pedal was, it includes a swell setting. This means you do not need a volume pedal to do your ambient swells. If your looking to add just a little wetness to your signal and not anything bizarre, it will do that excellent also. In fact, that is pretty much all I use it for.

EDQ is one of the top FX maker out there. Avalanche Run is a beast. Sounds really good. Transparent. You will lost your soul and forgot your life as soon as you will play with it.Easy to use, sturdy, beautiful simple design and the sound is unreal. It is a keeper on my pedal board.

This delay/reverb pedal is such a powerhouse, it produces vast and lush reverb sounds and the delay sounds like something from another dimension. Playing with it equals endless hours of fun and it sounds great on everything! I am using it on guitar, synths, as an FX unit running through my DAW and I even use it on my tape machine to create super lush ambient loops.

This pedal is amazing. If you play ambient music or worship music this pedal would be perfect for you. Add in an expression pedal and it pushes it over the edge. I use it as a super wet reverb and then set up the expression pedal to be able to swell in a reverse delay. Great pedal!

I bought this pedal as my old Boss DM-1 Analog Delay finally gave out on me a week before a recording session. I ordered the Avalanche Run on a friend’s recommendation. Honestly, I was shocked as to how close to a true AD it sounded. To be fair, there is nothing being made today with the same goo-iness of my DM-1, but at the same time the Avalanche Run just slays it on features. If you are really needing accurate quantizing/tap tempo features, the Avalanche has them, in spades. The reverse feature is super cool, and once I bought a cheap expression pedal to go with it, it opened up whole other worlds. The pedal is dead quiet, and it honestly did everything I needed and way more. Full disclosure: I don’t like new pedals. The pedal is dead quiet, and it honestly did everything I needed and way more. Full disclosure: I don’t like new pedals. I like analog delays and chorus pedals with old Reticon chips and MN3005’s. I like script and bigbox MXR’s. I like FuzzRite’s and Echoplexes. I’m an annoying snob about pedals. All that said, the Avalanche Run has stayed on my pedalboard next to all my old boxes. Ask anyone who knows me, and that fact is the biggest endorsement I can give. I don’t want a new pedal on my board, but the Avalanche Run has given me no choice. It just does it’s job too well. I wanna hate it, and I hate to love it - but I do. It’s an amazing box.
The sound option are limitless to what you you can do but the controls are a little hard to dial in at times. Tends to have a mind of it's own. With that said the delay is one of the best out there. The pedal is definitely Utley worth the price tag. If you are into awesome design and packaging, Earthquaker is second to none.
Jam this sucker on your board and forget all about the other reverb/delay pedals on the market. Great reverb that rocks in stereo, and a very versatile delay you can actually use thanks to the tap button and tone knob. The "avalanche" function is perfect for burying the rest of your band in the mix, and as a bonus it sounds cool. For everything this pedal does, I was surprised how easy it was to use and dial up everything from a usable ambient tones, to complete chaos. The tails function is great! Finish your set, lock it down on infinite, smash your guitar, wave at the crowd and leave the stage with the confidence that wild noises will keep pumping from your amp until the sound guy shuts it down. 10 outta 10, if you want it, buy it.
This thing is amazing!! The depth it has in this little box...and the fact that it is controllable via expression pedal is killer. The reverb is intense, but can be dialed out to be played right through a distorted passage is so easy to control. The delay fits with it perfectly and is so easily maneuverable that you can go from a light flavor to Floyd to full ok ambient dreamscape. It's just that versatile, and its way cheaper than a lot of the bigger digital pedals. Fully recommend picking one up.
