It took a month to finally receive this cologne. It was a pleasant surprise to open the door and have it sitting there....I thought. I've used Hermes Eau d'orange verte cologne and love it, even though the scent doesn't last very long. So, I thought that the Mandarine would be just as nice. Wow, was I wrong. It's overwhelming sweet mandarine disappears(nearly instantly!)and you smell passion fruit and amber, which give way to.....nothing. I'm so disappointed with this expensive cologne and I will not purchase again.

1) Cardinal sin of a blind buy.2) purchased from ebay and verify that it was authentic. No problems there.3) all- and I mean all I picked up was a citrus note. From the start to the end.4) longevity is very weak. Approximately one hour.5) not horrible, not great. Not a panty dropper. It's just there.6) it is not complex. Citrus, citrus, citrus.7) the very very subtle hint of Amber makes you want more. Makes you splash more on until you realize the Amber will never overcome the darn citrus and for the next 40 minutes you smell like a mango processing plant in the Philippines.8) when you buy Hermes you expect a hint of sophistication. I personally expected that to come from the Amber. The potential is there it just gets lost in citrus. This one falls far short. It ... I do not recommend this product at all ! You barely smell the perfume (almost Zero Concentration), and It doesn't stay for more than a minute. Indeed, Waste of Money.

This is the more concentrated version launched in 2004 as compared to the original Eau D'orange Verte launched in 1979. The green orange citrus fragrance is very, very similar to the original Eau D'orange Verte, but is stronger and lasts longer. It's in a frosted green bottle (as opposed to the clear green bottle of Eau D'orange Verte which I also have) and standard orange Hermes box. For those who prefer a milder blast of green orange fragrance upon initial spray, the original Eau D'orange Verte may be preferable, but longetivity is less. Having just bought and used this in February 2014, I can assure that if it's fresh, green orange citrus fragrance you are looking for, this EDT is sheer elegance. Having just bought and used this in February 2014, I can assure that if it's fresh, green orange citrus fragrance you are looking for, this EDT is sheer elegance. For freshness alone, I will prefer this or the Eau D'Orange green orange fragrance over the other Hermes powerhouse in my rotation, Terre d'Hermes (which has a well-ripened orange/burnt orange peel fragrance), although the latter has its own class and lasts longer, whether in EDT or EDP formulation. While lemon-based fragrances are plentiful, there are not as many orange-based fragrances. The other orange-based fragrances I own are from Cartier, namely Cartier Declaration and Eau de Cartier Essence d'Orange. Declaration has a strong hint of Indian curry due to the use of caraway, coriander, cinnamon and cardamom spicy notes which means it can't be used everyday without irritating co-workers. Cartier's Essence d'Orange is too floral with just a mild hint of orange and although advertised as unisex, it's really a women's fragrance, and I have since given it away. For orange-based fragrances done right that can be used everyday, it's really just Hermes with its trio of D'orange Verte Concentre, Eau D'orange Verte and Terre D'Hermes. I would also recommend the Hermes d'Orange Verte body lotion as both a hands/body moisturizer and to further enhance the fragrance of the EDT. Although the lotion only comes in small 1.4 ounce bottles, they are travel-friendly and their green orange fragrance is so strong that a little goes a long way; they are definitely worth their price. Update on May 2, 2015: If you like D'orange verte, I'd recommend you check out my most recent citrus fragrance discovery, Aqva Amara from the house of Bvlgari. It's a bitter mandarin orange EDT perfectly complemented with aquatic marine accord that has a very similar vibe to D'orange Verte - both orangey and shower fresh. It's also affordable, and the projection and sillage of this mandarin orange fragrance lasts all day, longer than Concentre D'orange Verte. If you love fresh orange fragrances, it'll certainly be worth your time checking it out whether on MyPerfumeShop or elsewhere.
The smell is sweet, citrusy with a hint of cotton candy. Delicate and playful, this is a great fragrance. Pretty intense upon the first spritz, however, it fades slowly and softens after a few hours. A bit more playful than the classic strong woody fragrances like Vetiver or Aramis.
MMM I love this cologne scent. Nothing else like it! The sweet mandarine/passion fruit smells so juicy and sweet. The Amber comes in as it settles into a sweet fruity velvet without any musk. I absolutely loovee this scent. Top all time favorite since its release in 2013.
Eau d'Orange Verte is a fantastic summer fragrance. Unfortunately, Hermes has failed at basic Packaging 101. Once you insert the sprayer into the bottle, you cannot attach the cap back onto the bottle. (WTF!?!) I am wondering if someone lost their job over this inapt marketing? I won't purchase the fragrance again; as you cannot safely travel with the scent
It smelled very similar. However I was expecting the rain de toilette to last a bit longer. This lasts for about 3 to 4 hours. Some what disappointing considering what I paid for.
Always a very pleasant smell, delighted they now have a bottle with the option of splash and/or spray. Have used this for several years and get compliments on it always.
Got this cologne for the summer. It smells like mandarine wood clean scents. Over time as it fades it gets better. Mandarine fades but you get the clean scent. Doesn’t stain clothes or collars. Scents last 2 days. Excellent buy. The quality may be compared to le labo. Won’t disappoint.
