Eberlestock Mini Me Hydration Pack (H1)

(108 reviews)

The Mini-Me is a hydration pack but more; this little baby could rightly be called the “Transformer.” It has an expansion system that at first glance looks conventional. Start un-zipping its wrap-around zipper and you get more space for something long. But when you keep going, you realize that you’ve opened up a tunnel for the insertion of either our A1SS Shotgun Scabbard or our A2SS Scoped Rifle Scabbard. Slide in one of these, and you’ve got a rig that’ll make carrying your gun as close to carrying a biathlon rifle as you can get without getting the real thing. And of course, you don’t want a biathlon rifle for hunting anyway. You want to carry your choice of weapon, an included premium 3-liter (100 oz) hydration bladder, a pull-out hip belt, and a secret compartment with a deployable Bird Bag inside. All of which you get with the Mini Me. Other features include full-depth pockets for spotting scope or tripod, an organizer pocket, grapple compression strap, and more. Side Scabbards and ButtBuckets are sold separately (the pack is a terrific small-scale pack without them, for general field use). Mini-Me. It's way more than a hydration pack.

Used it for fishing this past weekend. Stored everything I needed it to and then some. Originally bought it for Turkey season for four reasons. 1. Keeps my hydrated with the bladder pack. 2. Game bag I can stuff the bird into. 3. Place to put my gun so I can be hands free. 4. Compact pockets and extra storage for calls, thermacell, headlight, and shells. Everything checks out. Thanks Eberlestock.

I’ve own so many small hydration packs from army issue, hunting, back packing and such. None of them come even close to the quality ingenuity or performance of this pack from Eberlestock. Thank you for the work. I’ve already ordered another one of your packs from Amazon and I’ve got my eye on two or three more. You’ve converted me entirely. Now every other back pack I own is now sub par. Thanks for raising the bar.

I hope so. It appears to be very well made. Ample storage for snacks/gear to get through the day. I'll find out this fall, when Maine's bird/deer seasons. It will be useful for when we take the kids/dogs hiking/camping/fishing, and when I hit the trails on my wheeler. If you're on the fence, buy it. You won't be disappointed.

Mini-Me Hydration Pack for Hunting
27 December 2022

Just the right size for New England Hunting. Enough pockets and space for a long day of hunting, scouting or hiking. Bird bag comes in handy for additional space of bulky items. Do a lot of still hunting/tracking and this pack is just the right size. Also have the Gunrunner, the Mini Me will get more use

My First Eberlestock Pack!
21 June 2023

I bought the Eberlestock Mini-Me for 2 purposes:First, carry water and hunt essentials to the tree stand. This would be an welcome change to stuffing my pockets with noise-making gear or bringing entirely too much in a day pack. I have not used the Mini-Me for hunting just yet but the philosophy of use is the same — always have water and hunt essentials (kill kit, tracking kit, first aid.) I also bought the Scabbard because I like the idea of packing in my rifle / shotgun for deer / turkey hunts that require a longer hike.Second, carry water and archery essentials for Total Archery Challenge (TAC.) I was able to carry the hydration bladder and also my collapsible water bottle. The rifle scabbard channel opened and was able to hold my arrow quiver tubes. And the rest of the pack was sized so I could only bring essentials. The pack seems incredibly well built and well designed. Every inch looks and feels high-quality with no lack of attention to detail. The initial process of opening all the compartments, seeing what’s what, was an awesome experience.Like many of the other reviewers mentioned, I could do without the bird bag and instead use the space. That said, the space that the bird bag took up also kept me from trying to overpack. 😄😄😄

The perfect conceal carry / large bladder hydration hiking pack!

I wish I could show you guys a photo of the inside of the lower pocket on this pack. Its PERFECT for a conceal carry pistol, has a pocket for the pistol to go inside, (Perfect snug fit for a glock Conceal Carry) and a couple spare magazines right beside it! Its remarkably durable and even after all these years shows no signs of wear or tear. This is the most durable pack I have ever owned hands down. Our last excursion we ended up hiking up a 6000 ft high mountain. She kept asking to use my hydration hose because hers required her to bite down on the nozzle before sucking and the flow wasnt too good, We had discovered that when you are breathing really hard from climbing, biting down and sucking water is difficult. She likes the Eberlestock nozzle much better than the camel back. She used my pack to store food in as well because the camel backs were roomy until you filled up the water bladder haha! Its lacking in storage after you fill them up with water. After we got home I showed her how easy the Eberlestock bladder is to clean, just slide the top handle off and you can get your hands up inside the bladder to clean it out if needed. Its much easier. Cant get inside the Camelbacks at all to clean them. She tried it on, and loved the comfortable fit on her back. The soft padding makes a huge difference in feel.So you guys have made another customer. Great job making great backpacks!I will be ordering her a new pack next paycheck! We just have to pick out what color and model! See you then!

There's a Mini Me under here
13 February 2020

Added some accessories to the H1 Mini-Me for the ultimate predator pack. Lashed 2 AN2P accessory pouches to the sides of the pack using para-cord holds ammo and mouth calls and 7x35 binoculars or range finder. Added a short shotgun side scabbard to hold a shooting tripod. A A2LS rifle scabbard for a rifle/shotgun. A saddle bag to hold a fox pro caller. The bird bag is perfect for winter camo after the walk to the stand. Main compartment holds night lights and a 22 mag single six. Outside top compartment fits a GI canteen. Lower outside compartment holds extra batteries, knife and compass. Originally bought this to hold a handgun and hydration pack, now its much more. Weighs 28 lbs loaded and is comfortable to carry.

WOW! This is my take it everywhere pack! And the quality is unmatched!

I have owned this pack for 3 years now. I wear it while I ride my Harley Davidson, When I go into the mountains on my 4 wheeler, and when I go on long trips or vacations. This pack is extremely durable. I cant say enough about how strong made these packs from Eberlestock are. They wont wear out or tare anytime soon.I did make a couple small modifications. I carefully cut the bird net out of the botttom. I dont feel like i need a bird net for the bag, and it very noticeably increased the interior compartment to a size where I can easily fit 6 bottles of water inside now. Thats all I will ever need for a few days.I love mine! addendum to previous review
5 July 2021

upon further inspection for improvements to an otherwise good hydration pack, and without the ability to edit a previous review, please forgive this addendum.there needs to be an additional small zippered pocket above the bottom outside zippered pocket to fully utilize the packs realistate.and to further improve the gamebag, instead of using the weak looking plastic buckles to secure the gamebag to the shoulders, incorporate a zipper that goes around the circumference of the gamebag that secures it to a zipper on the outside of the main pack. this in my view would not only improve the durability of the gamebag, but prevent the breakage of the weak plastic buckles in the event of having the gamebag being caught on snags.if eberlestock took all of these suggestions ... Moreupon further inspection for improvements to an otherwise good hydration pack, and without the ability to edit a previous review, please forgive this addendum.there needs to be an additional small zippered pocket above the bottom outside zippered pocket to fully utilize the packs realistate.and to further improve the gamebag, instead of using the weak looking plastic buckles to secure the gamebag to the shoulders, incorporate a zipper that goes around the circumference of the gamebag that secures it to a zipper on the outside of the main pack. this in my view would not only improve the durability of the gamebag, but prevent the breakage of the weak plastic buckles in the event of having the gamebag being caught on snags.if eberlestock took all of these suggestions into account and incorporated them into this already well made product, itd fully warrant me upgrading to the newer model and the $150 price tag.work union. buy american. live better.ibew lu 106

is the main reason why i spent a considerably larger sum to upgrade to the mini me from eberlestock. like the other eberlestock products i own, it is exceptionally well built, and besides being overpriced considering they are made in foreign countries, eberlestock sells well made products, notice i say sells and not makes because they want to sell things made for a pittance and keep the lions share of money for themselves, typical for the new generation of greedy hipster knobs who claim to be patriots but buy/ sell foreign made goods to better line their pockets. and in fairness, ill call out my own hypocrisy by saying i cant bring myself to pay a $1000 for a mystery ranch product just because its made in the u.s.a, they too are greedy bastards and im a cheap fu(%.anyways, back to my review. like i previously stated, eberlestock buys sturdy well made products for cheap and sells them at marked up prices. the mini is well made and durable. the game bag is a nice addition for carrying additonal hiking gear and or game animals.where the mini me fails is its overall organization of its compartments and features. ill start off with the sheath designed for the carrying of a long arm with scabbard. a great feature in my opinion, if one is inclined to utilize such a feature. i for one never foresee myself using it, because one, on hikes where i carry a firearm, its a pistol carried in either a chest rig or a hip holster. and as far as carrying a long gun for hunting id just convert my single point sling into a traditional two point sling and carry the firearm across my back where utilization of both hands are needed for traversing inclines or climbing into a deer stand. instead, id keep this feature of being able to carry a longarm with a passthrough scabbard, but incorporate zippers at both the top and bottom of the scabbard slot, so that when not in use to carry a firearm this compartment can be converted for use as additional storage space for other hiking/ hunting essentials instead of collapsed unusable space.next up for the negatives is the included game bag. a great additonal feature in my unsolicited humble opinion, but with some caveats that make it somewhat of a hindrance. i for one plan on using this feature both for its intended purpose as gamebag when hunting, and for additional storage for things like rain gear or warmer clothes in case of emergency when hiking. where this feature fails is when its not in use. for example, hiking during warmer weather where bringing extra clothes is not needed, or on hikes where being kept out in the elements due to emergency isnt a factor. the internal pouch it folds into is a nice feature, but it takes up space in the main compartment of the pack, limiting any additinal things one would want to carry i.e. snacks, extra ammo etc. instead, the gamebag should have its own seperate compartment at the bottom of the pack that doesnt intrude/ compromise the storage space of the main storage compartment. including this feature in my opinion would only increase the dimensions marginally of an already small convenient hydration pack.and my final gripe, include a rain sheath to go over the pack for use in inclement weather, and include this with the suggested completely seperate from the main storage compartment gamebag pouch.all in all, im satisfied with the mini me hydration pack. it has some excellent, all be it, not so well executed features. its ruggedly built, and compact with enough storage to get one through a day hike without leaving anything behind.if the hipsters at eberlestock ever decide to take my advice, ill surely upgrade my mini hydration pack to the enhanced version, letting them take even more of my money by buying their well made foreign products. hey, its the new american patriotic way.work union. buy american. live better.ibew lu 106.
