I got the BIOM C4s as my first pair of Ecco’s after hearing everyone say how comfortable they are. I can admit these shoes provide next level comfort, in fact, I have worn them to two tournaments where I have walked over 20k steps and had no foot, or leg pain. My disappointment comes with the yellowing of the sole. I know golf shoes get dirt, but I always try to clean mine after every couple rounds. The sole on the BIOM C4 turned yellow after only a couple rounds, and I cannot find a way to clean it. As stated, I anticipate golf shoes getting dirty, but at this price range, I should be able to clean them up. If something like this doesn’t bother you, I highly recommend the shoe.

First of all, I want to say that the quality, looks and traction of these shoes is excellent. However, I am experiencing a lot of pain in the sides of my feet from wearing them. I thought the problem was that I ordered a size too small, so I removed the extra insole, but the pain persisted. I have found that the problem lies with the "exhaust grid" in the middle of the sole. This is a hard and rigid material, and it digs into the sides of my feet. After walking 18 holes it feels like someone took a hammer to my feet, and I can't wait to take them off. I wanted to love these shoes, and probably wore them more times than I should have, but they are just not designed for the shape of my foot.

I am a big fan of golf gear, and have owned golf shoes of almost every major brand out there. I bought a pair of the GFore Galavanters last year, and thought to myself, these are the most comfortable golf shoes I've ever put on my feet. Fast forward to my purchase of the Biom C4 Shoe....and boy, was I wrong. This shoe hands down is the most comfortable I've worn on the course. I may never go back to anything else. A few things of note: - the shoe runs large for American sizes. I am typically a 11 to an 11.5. The 10/10.5 worked best for me in this shoe. Only critique: this is such a great shoe, Ecco could really open up its customer base with some more "flashy" colorways. The majority of the Bioms are very muted, with neutral tones. This is the third pair of this particular Ecco golf shoe that I have purchased over maybe 5 years. The spikeless sole design is very good. I’ve very rarely slipped, even on wet ground. They are nicely waterproof, very comfortable and good looking. My one complaint is the flimsy insole. Like almost every sneaker or athletic shoe I buy, no matter how expensive, the insole is a flat-ish piece of foam offering zero arch or heel support. I am forced to buy separate inserts like Superfeet to get the stability I want for a proper golf swing. So yes this is why I give a 4 star rating to these shoes. Unfortunately Ecco is not alone in falling short in this particular way.
The manufacturing of Ecco golf shoes is not what it was and they stick to their one year warranty regardless of circumstances. My third pair of ECCO BIOM golf shoes (that had been in their box for 14 months) failed after only 9 holes of play: the middle eyelet cane away from the upper on my right shoe, making them unusable. The customer service department would not replace my golf shoes because they were over 12 months old; there was no flexibility even though I sent pictures and explained that my golf shoes were just out their box.I love ECCO golf shoes and have worn them for over 10 years, but I have noticed the quality and workmanship has declined in the last 3 or 4 years. My warranty claim was denied (ECCO 00664336). Fair.To anyone considering this shoe, DO NOT BUY if you only hit off mats. I'm a 90% of the time sim player and after a few months, my trail shoe's mid sole began to separate and eventually tear at the toe box (where the mid sole and mat touch). I'm not a big guy, nor would I consider a few months of use on a mat unreasonable use (the claim was denied because of over and unreasonable use).Lastly, I love Ecco golf shoes, but this model isn't for mat usage. I also own a pair of G5s. I learned this pair is better suited for simulator/mat use since the mid-sole goes up higher on the toe box and is not in the stress zone where the mid-sole can tear.I'm disappointed in Ecco, but I'm also disappointed in my golf game. I had a terrible experience with their shoe and warranty department. After my shoe broke I was given 90 days to replace the shoe. They didn’t have the size and style I liked and my redemption period expired. Rather than just allowing me an opportunity to replace a shoe I was told they won’t extend my redemption. It’s hard to believe that they left a paying customer who wanted to replace the shoe with a terrible experience and out $260. It seems like a totally avoidable situation and common sense but instead they’re forcing me to write this review.I would not recommend this product due to its durability and the warranty department.
After reading reviews and recommendations from my podiatrist, I bought my first pair of the C4 shoes about six months ago. I play 2+ times per week. I was very impressed with the comfort, support and stability. I used them at first playing cart golf then graduated to walking courses. I was fearful the spikeless tread would wear rapidly, but have been impressed with the durability. Although my first pair have lots of life remaining, when I saw the C4's on sale at PGA Superstore I jumped on the deal. The price, even on sale, is comparatively steep, but I found this to be a top quality shoe that is worth the investment.
I filed a warranty claim for the pair of Biom H4 shoes I had before these. The insole stitching had come loose and they just overall felt a bit chintzy particularly around the eyelets and padding under the tongue. The voucher they gave me covered this pair, and they are miles better.I've walked about 72 holes so far with these and they are hands down the most comfortable golf shoe I've owned. Instead of a traditional tongue, the interior of the shoe is essentially a slipper you slide your foot in. Even untied, these fit pretty securely. The padding under the laces is plenty that even if you like a tight-laced shoe, you won't have to worry about pinching and aching on the top of your foot. The spikeless shoe has more grip than I'll ever need. Unless you're generating crazy speed, these are more than enough tread. They seem to be built solidly around the sole such that I doubt I'll see the same problem of insole seam tearing that my prior pair of H4s had.I followed the suggestions of some reviews I read and opted for the black sole so I don't have to look at the yellowing lighter-soled options. I got them the half size smaller than I would normally get (12-12.5 instead of 13-13.5 to be "safe"). These run pretty big and this pair fits more like most 13s I've worn.I'll buy these at full price forever if they'll last more than a hundred rounds.
First, I have been a fan of Ecco golf shoes for a long time. Exceptional quality. I’ve had 4 or 5 pairs over the years. But since the last time I bought a pair, they stopped making 1/2 sizes. I’m usually a size 45 or 11 US. So for me, I either have to wear a size where the shoe is 1/2 size too big and fill the excess volume with an insole (included) but have an extra1/2 inch of length in the toe box. Or buy a size smaller and take out the insole which sacrifices cushioning and comfort. Either way, they are either ill fitting or or lack cushioning. If they resume making 1/2 sizes, I’ll put Ecco back on the top of my list. But for now I can’t seem to find a good fit.
