ECCO | Men's Helsinki 2 Slip-on Dress Shoes | Size 5 | Leather | Black

BEST AND MOST COMFORTABLE MEN'S DRESS SHOES EVER!

Love, love these shoes! Bought them 3 times for my son over the past 6 years and wanted to buy them again right now for his birthday, but need to get them on sale. I would buy as a belated B-day or even as a Christmas gift if on sale. He really needs a new pair rn though. Please put them on sale again soon if you can Macy's. Competitor has them for considerably less money, but I prefer to support Macy's. Don't mind shopping online, but I do miss your Orem store so much though! Would you consider building a store in Lehi? Best shoes for my big feet

These are the only shoes that I ware for over 15 years. One of the things I do in life, requires me to stand on my feet for multiple hours. No other shoes will work for me, I've tried. They are great for walking & travel also. They last because of their quality. I can ware them with the suit or with the slacks or with the blue jeans.But please keep an eye on the quality ECCO! Please do not make stupid business decisions like every one else appears to be making these days. You will not save money in the long run, but you can lose your reputation. Keep up the excellent quality work!

Comfort and quality at its BEST

Supports a great look for work as in dress casual. Support and comfort for those who are on their feet multiple hours a day. I work in manufacturing 12 hrs. a day on concrete floor. These ECCO shoes have shown that they work just as great as a work boot would for manufacturing. Non slip as well. If you have trouble with your feet hurting after a long day I recommend these ECCO shoes for dress, casual, and hard work. This is my third pair. The quality is great and they will last you a long time without having to change shoes so often. They clean up well and keep the look of a nice everyday shoe. Love them

Disintegrating Heels

A few years ago, I purchased a pair of what appears to be ECCO Helsinki's at our local Nordstrom. I wore these shoes to a funeral service last weekend and much to my surprise, the heel of the right shoe disintegrated as I walked down the aisle of the church. I took the shoes back to Nordstrom but since I couldn't produce a copy of the receipt, which is by now years old, they wouldn't do anything about it. I checked online to look into the issue and discovered this is a fairly common issue with ECCO shoes with composite soles and heels. My shoes do not get heavy use at all and are stored in an air-conditioned closet. I tried to contact ECCO directly but their phone number provided on their website is not active. ECCO composite soles disintegrate

Bought these shoes at Nordstrom's a few years ago. Wore them to a funeral service last weekend when much to my surprise, the heel of the right shoe disintegrated as I walked down the church aisle. Brought them back to Nordstrom and was told since I couldn't produce a receipt that would be years old by now, there is nothing they would do. So much for Nordstrom vaunted Customer Care. The shoes do not get heavy use and are carefully stored. I did an internet search on these shoes/ECCO and it is apparently a well-known issue to ECCO. In the mean time, BEWARE ECCO composite soled and heeled shoes. They may disintegrate on you too. Also, it appears there is less reason to buy stuff at Nordstrom.

Soles Came Apart

I owned a brown pair and black pair which I enjoyed wearing for their comfort and styling until the soles absolutely disintegrated. The leather upper remained in fine condition however the rubber layer between the heels and degraded and separated from the uppers. It is embarrassing when your shoes fall apart while wearing them. What a disappointment!

Wonderful For the Feet

These are great well made shoes. I am a car salesman and walk miles and miles a day. I am wearing a pair I bought over a year ago and can still wear them daily. These shoes are light and comfortable and don't scuff up too much. I wish they were a little less in cost. Yeah, probably paying for the name! Bought a second pair because they are awesome and were on sale (bonus).

later model Ecco soles disintegrate

I've been buying Ecco Helsinki lace & slip on shoes for decades at $250/pairs but the last two pairs I purchased (black & brown) 3-4 years ago have had their heels disintegrate completely. At one point Ecco discontinued this shoe from what I remember but I had never had any issues. I've noticed my older shoes which have a round red plug in the center of the heel are still rock solid but any of the ones with a purely molded, single piece sole are the ones that the heel falls apart. Oddly the rest of the sole shows no wear at all since they've only been worn a few times over the last few years. Ecco is no longer a premium brand. Evidently their soles disintegrate with time regardless if you wear them a lot or a little.
