I love these shoes. They were comfortable from the moment I took them out of the box - soft, supportive and no rubbing. They didn't need any breaking in at all. I wasn't sure what to expect of the colour because it is described as purple but looked more burgundy on the website. It is more purple than burgundy (what I would describe as aubergine if I was being pretentious). They are really smart looking shoes and look great with jeans and leggings. I love the 'edgy' looking soles which are supportive too. These are a great pair of shoes and it is a bonus that they are waterproof (Gore-Tex lined). I can't recommend them enough.

Could Have Been Great

I really wanted to like these sneakers. I bought them with high hopes as I need shoes with arch support or risk flaring up plantar fasciitis, so when I read that these shoes had arch support and were good for walking I couldn't wait to try them. I was very disappointed to find that the "arch support" is barely there and was not enough even for my low arches. I tried removing the insole and replacing it with one that has more arch support, but it made the shoe a little tight. When I took out both ECCO insoles and tried again with my own there was a strange drop under the forefoot and not enough padding beneath the toes. I also felt this when just replacing the top ECCO insole but to a slightly lesser degree. The other problem is that the shoes had an unpleasant smell ... MoreI really wanted to like these sneakers. What could have been great turned out to be a dud, at least for my feet. Having said that, they'd probably be great for someone with young, untroubled feet.

Don't waste your money for everyday sneakers

Don't buy these sneakers - yes they look great and feel really comfy - BUT THEY LEAK! As soon as there is the slightest wet ground (like around a swimming pool or after rain) they take in water thru the soles and you will have wet feet all day.When I complained I was told the shoes are 'not waterproof' and its not a manufacturing fault. They were also really slow to respond and I kept having to follow up. Was not impressed by the customer service.I have bought Ecco shoes before because I could wear them in light rain. I won't be buying this brand again.

Fabulous, comfortable and look great

I now have these in six colours. They are comfortable and look great. I get a lot of compliments on all of them. They are not cheap, but they are well worth the price. They are excellent walking shoes, which is a major compliment as I have grown-toe nails. I am slightly bigger than a 39, and ECCO doesn't do half sizes, so I purchased a shoe stretch off Temu for $13 and that does the trick in day per pair.

Great sneaker for travel

We returned from Japan where shoes come off regularly to enter inside homes and buildings. These shoes were great for walking, wearing with a skirt, jeans and even on the plane. I agree the colour range/tone choice could be brighter? They walked many kilometres but still look like new! Even the white sole!! Be sure to take some sachets to clean and protect - Ecco has these available.

Gruuv by Ecco Sneaker is a great sneaker!

I am in love with this shoe and you can't go wrong buying it! I Great investment from someone who doesn't like to pay full price. Very comfortable and has cushioning which made me forget the pain I usually have in my feet. Leather kept my feet dry and easy to clean off. I also bought the Cole Haan GrandPro Topspin Sneaker as it appeared to have cushioning but no where near this shoe so I am returning.

Hurt my feet!

I-thought I was going to love these. Purchased the ivory for a trip. Thought these shoes checked all the boxes- leather, so they’ll be more comfortable and I could wipe them down clean. Nice cushioned sole for lots of walking. Could wear with skirts or jeans. But these turned out to be very tight and uncomfortable, even ordering up a half size. Also not much arch support if any. Returned.

I love these shoes

I've been wearing ECCO sneakers for about 2 years now, with my Gruuvs my latest acquisition. I simply love them! I love the colour. I love the comfortable fit. I love their toughness and durability and waterproof qualities. They never give up and it takes a lot to wear them out. I'm still trying!

My second pair of the same wonderful shoes

I loved my first pair so much that I bought a second. Now I have blue and pink with great fit, style and comfort. The shops have a massive range to choose from and a great website. My second pair were the last in the shop so I rang to have them reserved and though it was almost closing time, the person I spoke to, Kirsten in Inverness, was so helpful and made all the arrangements and backed up by email. When I picked up the shoes from my local shop, Kirsten had left a personal message wishing me well and hoping I loved my new shoes. Such a lovely gesture.

Nice Shoe, Not for Me

I was excited to order these shoes because I love ECCO Soft 7 shoes and thought this would be an even better walking shoe. Once it arrived, I realized the shoe comes up too high on the front and rubs on my lower shin. I was not clear on how to return the shoes since an invoice did not come with them. I printed off my emails and was still concerned that I may not get credit for the return. I decided to give them to a friend that really loves them. Glad she could use them.
