I love that the 'off-road' sandals came in white this year.I think they are much prettier, and I felt happy wearing them in the evenings on holiday. They are also very comfortable to wear on a long walk. I have just recovered from a fracture to my ankle so needed shoes to support my ankle when walking.I have purchased these sandals before in a different colour. The previous colour was fine for walking but I would not have worn them in the evenings.Please ECCO make more sandals in white or pretty colours.

A Sad Story

The Ecco Yucatan I already have are the best of the best and more than ten years old and still in good condition. When I recently saw the Sangria/Fig color, I knew I just had to have them. I was tempted to order the Ecco Sangria/Fig color from this site but then I remembered that I had ordered this same shoe from another company and ended up much disappointed. I wrote to them saying: ‘I was so sure this shoe would fit me just right as my other Ecco Yucatan Sandals have over the years (size 40) and never thought of having to return this pair which entails a return shipping cost for me. Nevertheless, with regret I have to return this shoe because I found this pair is a bit too snug and perhaps a little short (?). It is difficult to understand why the Sangria colored sandals (a color quite nice), size 40, have a snug fit. I would have considered an exchange for the same sandal, same size, but I hesitate because there may be another problem and another return shipping fee cost for me.’The Company kindly responded to me and wrote: ‘Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we have found with many brands that each style/color will ultimately not run the same size wise. This is due to the different countries/warehouses where the shoes are produced, and also due to each color being made with different materials. We can certainly mail you a return label to this address, which may take about a week for you to receive. Due to the sizing issue you experienced, we can also waive the shipping as a one-time courtesy for this purchase, which will be noted on your order. Please let us know if you have any further questions or need anything further.’I hope my comment will help many of you experiencing sizing problems with our beloved shoe and give you a better understanding of the frustrations many of us have faced, unfortunately.

Ecco Yucatan (Offroad) Ladies Sandals Colour: Air/Dusty Blue, Size: 5 / 38

This is my fourth purchase of this sandal style - all are still in use, but I wanted a dimmer colour .They are brilliant and it is possible to walk for miles in them. The multiple adjustments are fantastic. My husband and sister also love these sandals to wear.This is a great summer colour choice that goes with many coloursAs always with CC delivery was great. Beware - this style in popular colours often sells out, I am not the only fan .

Fit Has Changed Over the Years--NOT FOR THE BETTER!

I have two pair of Yucans going back 10 or more years. These were the best summer hiking sandals ever! These were one of the few brands that offered a soft fabric (but easily washable) footbed, which kept blisters from rubbing on long hikes, unlike sandals with a rubber footbed (Teva, Keens--great shoes, but gave me blisters). I tried a new pair last summer and the fit was way too snug across the toes, and because of the fitted neoprene inner strap, there was no way to adjust. So, I washed my old ones for the summer, and tried again this spring. Same thing--way too snug across the toes and no way to adjust. I tried a size up, but still unpleasantly snug, and the rest of the straps were now too loose. Great sandal! Lots of support! Need shoes like this

So glad these sandals were recommended to me. I have a hip problem, waiting for surgery now. But these allowed me to be more comfortable than anything else. I need a shoe for colder weather that has the same support. I usually wear 7.5 but needed the 8/8.5. So comfortable, no blisters or anything my first time wearing them (2 miles). Can’t say enough. Old ones had stretched slightly. Soles still looked great but I think I wore them inside from walking more on the outside of my foot. Getting a new pair helped a lot with my hip. I have worn these on walks (in the woods too), engaged in sports, etc. Mine are the originals and not 2.0. Hope they never change these. Once I’ve had hip surgery done, I’m sure I could still wear the older pair working in our yard and save ... MoreSo glad these sandals were recommended to me. Love these sandals

These are my 2nd pair of offroad sandals and I love them.Could not find my size 42 or 43 in local stores so I had to order online and delivered very promptly. It is better for people with big feet like mine to have the shoes to try. Previously I used a 41.They may have changed in length. Or width? and I found that was so with these new shoes.. I had to go up 1 size.Unfortunately they came with an awfully strong smell of mold.I RETURNED THEM TO LOCAL STORE AND ORDERED ANOTHER PAIR. The replacement also came promptly and this time the shoes were still smelly but no where near as smelly...I noted neither pairs had the lil gel packs in box which prevents this.I asked for a discount, but no reply.These ARE very sturdy shoes and last for a long time... the womens ... MoreThese are my 2nd pair of offroad sandals and I love them.Could not find my size 42 or 43 in local stores so I had to order online and delivered very promptly. But they do have quite a variety otherwise.I hope they continue to carry these iconic sandals and keep all sizes in stock at outlet stores.

Make my feet smell awful

These sandals are very comfortable and supportive. I’ve worn them birdwatching in Colombia and on city streets in the US. However my first pair made my feet smell terrible. I assumed it was because of wearing them while swimming in a river. I bought a new pair because I loved the fit so much. The second pair made my feet smell equally bad in just one day of normal walking around. This has not happened to me with any other footwear I have ever owned.I’ve tried leaving them in the sun, baking soda, white vinegar, Lysol- every concoction I can find on the internet. Nothing has succeeded in removing the stink. The uppers are leather but the footbed is made of some microfiber material that is a haven for bacteria. I cannot recommend these.

Satisfaction on all levels

My recent purchase of the off-road sandals adds to my 11 years association with Ecco. I bought my first Ecco boots for a trip to Europe with my daughter. The boots walked me everywhere and they were so comfortable I bought an equivalent to the off-road sandals while we were in France. Ecco shoes are amazing value because I have been wearing my sandals for 11 years and my boots were constant first- choice footwear for many years as well. This recent purchase was delayed in delivery and I rang to see what happened. The person I spoke to on the phone was excellent. She found my order, explained what has been happening with Australia Post, what to do if it didn’t arrive and requested me to let them know when it did arrive. To take the smell away!

This will work for every shoe has a bad smell to your feet. The best cure is using the disinfectant wet wipe or hand sanitize (have to be made in America) wipe the inside of shoe with this sanitizer wet wipes or disinfectant wet wipes and clean it thoroughly and let it dry after every wearing. The shoe and the feet will never smell again. Keep wiping after every wearing. It kills the bacteria on the shoe and make your shoe kart a little longer but you need to let it dry after wiping it. I have been doing for year to every shoe I wear. Hope this will help

best bubblegum Yucatan

wow do I ever love these shoes! the color is a lovely pink, (just like the gum), they are so cute on, love at first site, I have four pairs of these Ecco shoes, in different colors, these are by far my favorite! One thing I like about them is that the pink color is throughout the entire shoe, it looks great with black slacks, or a cool gray dress. which is what i am wearing with them, so glad that Nordstrom had them, of course I always find the cutest stuff there!Can't wait to wear them, I'm sure I will get a k jillion comments, like, I love your shoes! Cool shoes, where did you get them? I want those shoes, they need to be mine!!!! Too fun.
