I have been on the hunt for a pair of comfortable, cute white sneakers that I could wear all day without having a break in period. I have tried them all!!For reference, I am 50, have no physical ailments and am going to Europe for 2 weeks with my daughter. I needed a pair of comfortable walking shoes to go with everything.I hesitated in buying these, they are $$& but a friend has them and swears by them.Putting them on, I thought ah no, they felt a tad stiff. The next day I put them on and walked around. Oh my goodness!After searching, trying and buying at least 30 different white sneakers - these are it.Yes, they are on the very high end of the budget but if they last as I expect, they’re worth it.

I own about 30 pairs of Ecco sneakers, including many pairs of the Soft 7. Needless to say, I am a big fan of Ecco. I just bought a pair of the Soft 7 Cognac on sale. To my dismay, these shoes have a horrible odor, a kind of deep musty smell, which I assume is from shipping. They are unwearable with the odor. I took out the insoles, unlaced the shoes, and placed both the shoes and the insoles outside in the sunshine. I next tried air purefying bags that contain bamboo charcoal. I stuffed each shoe with the bags and placed the insoles in the box with another air purefying bag. The odor has improved, but is still detectable. I saw a review for another Ecco style in which the reviewer states that she always wipes the insides of the shoe with sanitizing wipes after each ... I bought these shoes in the red color, they arrived looking a lot more raspberry than red. They were discounted which might explain that they appeared to be returned before. I had planned on red, but the color they are is adorable and I might like it more than red. I've received many compliments. They are my second pair in a different color. They are sueded so I treated them for rain, which I did not do for my first pair and wished I had. I also purchased the suede protective spray from Nordstrom, and it is great. I recommend theses shoes.

What happened to Ecco shoes! They used to be soft leather and comfortable insole. These shoes are nothing like my older ones from a few years ago. These are hard leather narrow with hard footbed. Even the heel cups were hard and sure to make blisters. These are the 2nd style I’ve tried in Ecco and I’m done with their shoes after wearing them for many years. So sad when a good company goes downhill. For reference I bought my usual size 39. Which is about an 8 1/2.
I love the Soft 7 sneakers and currently have 10 pairs. I had been wanting a pair of dark brown and was excited to see them on your web page. I was considering sending this particular pair back because the leather is very stiff compared to the others and because of that it may be why it feels a little tight. I have been wearing them in house (on the carpet) to see if they will loosen; they seem to be. I like the softness of my other pairs compared to the new brown ones. My final decision on this pair is still pending. My others got an "excellent" rating. I'm giving this pair a "good" rating.
I love these sneakers so much I now have three colors. The grey is simply lovely as it feels like suede fabric. I no longer have much meat on the bottom of my feet and I have bunions and callus on the sides of my feet which makes shoes feel too tight and hurt the callus. These Ecco shoes are so wonderful as they are roomy in the toe area and hug the arch. The thick soles and arch are also great as they give wonderful support when walking. They are so comfortable. I just wish Ecco would produce a dress shoe that feels this good on the feet. I would buy every color. I need a dress shoe that has a higher front so it goes over the bunions. Most dress shoes are cut so low in the front and cut right into the bunions so hurt your foot.
I was looking to replace a pair of similar Cole Haan sneakers that I got a few years ago - not only had they worn out but I realized how little support they had. It also took ages to break them in.Now these Ecco are the complete opposite- beautiful leather, quality construction, a sturdier shoe with some arch support! (I don’t have to wear my little half-length arch supports in these).After my first day, the tops of my feet felt a tiny bit sore from the break-in, but otherwise they have been comfortable from the get go!The white is not a bright white - it is a slightly off-white.Yes, a little bit pricey, but you get what you pay for.(I also have a pair of Josef Seibel which are similar and equally nice, quality, comfy if these don’t work out for you)
I've had several pair of this shoe over the years, in both leather and suede. In the past they were the perfect shoe! Comfortable from day 1, and even better when broken in. So I didn't think twice about ordering a fresh pair online, only to find that something has changed. The leather is really stiff and the laces are so stiff it's almost impossible to loosen or pull them taught. And even though the size is the same and when compared side by side with my old shoes, this new one somehow fits differently for some reason. I wore them for a day and they were so uncomfortable they're going back. Ecco messed with my favorite hiking sandals as well, so I guess that Ecco is no longer my brand. Time to search for a new fave.
I have 2 pair of these Soft 7 Sneakers. My first pair were the taupe in women’s size 8/8.5 US. Then I tried 2 pair of the Marine in the same size, but it is the 9/9.5 that fit me better. I am not sure why there is the discrepancy in the sizing, but I like the style and they are comfortable and support my feet well. The taupe ones squeak when I walk, but that will not prevent me from getting years of wear out of them. This is a great style because they are a little dressier than other sneakers/ walking shoes. I could not complete this review without filling in the “ is this product true to size?” I stand by what I stated above

I bought them for a trip to Europe thinking they’d be the only shoes I’d need because they are supposedly so comfortable, great for walking a lot of distance with no break in period needed. Boy was I misled! My feet are sore and uncomfortable in these shoes. They hurt with and without socks. The sole is hard and the bottoms of my feet hurt and the outer leather is hard. I can feel the lace holes through the tongue. I have a blister on two toes and the top of my big toes and toenails hurt. I walked all around London today hoping they would break in with no luck yet. I’m stuck wearing these in Spain for 2 mire weeks. I should’ve listened to ...
