Purchased a Delta flow and dual fuel generator the first. Wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend all the extra money on another Delta pro. After going back-and-forth on it . I Finally came to the realization that it was unrealistic just to have one. I want to be able to use the units all the time And not just have it sit in the corner and take the chance on the battery not being at peak potential from non-use. I could’ve just bought the Smart panel for $800. But with a new Delta pro unit and the Smart panel during the black Friday sales event. It was like I picked up the Smart panel for a few hundred bucks extra. So I spent the extra money and got the second unit and a smart panel to go with it. Was trying to figure out the best way to hook the units up to my panel. And came to the conclusion that it would be via the smart panel. Waited for the black Friday deal to buy the second unit and smart panel combo. Looked into the best options for more power. Seems that instead of spending money on for extra Delta pro batteries, I’m probably just going to buy another brand of battery bank x2 and charge the two Delta pros from them. Eventually want to get the battery bank connected to solar on the roof Have the solar feed the extra batteries and then the battery banks will feed the Delta pro units through the DC input. I’ve looked at all the options and instead of spending over $1500 for each 3.7 kW battery, I can spend less and get a 5.7 kw battery bank.I already have around 6K invested in the system. Just really want the brains and features of each Delta pro to be able to run 240v in My Home. And above all the features that they offer in the app. Haven’t gotten around hooking the smart panel up yet, but I’m looking forward to it. The only thing I think they can improve on is when you mount the smart panel. It needs to be within 15 foot of your electrical box. My panel is in the garage and I don’t want to leave my units out in the garage where I pull my car into. Just not as clean of an environment for the price that I paid for these units. I wish they would make an infinity cable that you could extend to whatever length do you want. This will give you the flexibility of mounting it as far away as you need . (Taking into consideration that you have to use a lower gauge wire over a certain distance). But I think that would be a really nice feature That could be accomplished with just a cable. I’ve thought about connecting the smart panel in the house and running a cable off of two of the breakers back to the box. But that would defeat, the purpose of owning this smart panel. I live in an HOA where it’s tough to get solar panels put on your roof. Eventually I will. But it’s not one of my priorities right now. I bought some portable solar panels that I’m going to use for now purchase the 400 W EcoFlow solar panel. But I felt it was too heavy And too clumsy to move around. Send it back and got some of the permanent mount 100 W EcoFlow panels. They seem to be sturdier and delight enough to move around individually.

The wheels and handle let you roll it over firm floors but give up on stairs or soft ground. One thing they did NOT state -- and to my surprise -- is that the manual transfer switch I ordered (306A1) came with a very good 30 amp TT to L5-14R cord! I had purchased one myself and had to return it. No where do they mention this so I thought there was no cord.I only have a 15 amp circuit to charge it from so I set it to charge at 800 watts and plugged it in. Setting up the application on my phone was very easy and it just worked. Electricians wired in the transfer switch which carries my fridge, furnace, kitchen stove, and half the outlets on each floor.Testing it out shows the Delta Pro and a spare battery will carry my loads for 12 - 14 hours without any conservation at all, which was my goal. It just worked right out of the box. In the summer with just the fridge and some lights it should be 24 hours.Overall it is a great product; it does exactly what is promised and is a very good value if you pay attention to the mix of sales, promotions, bundles, and different online stores for the best price.

I bought several items just before hurricane season really set in, Florida has plenty of sunshine and humidity so my purchase of two wave 2’s was on point.Making electricity from the sun is not an easy job, dii uh e to the weight of each item or the repositioning of panels to catch the peak sunlight at the time. I used my 220 solar panels to charge each machine. They worked well but due to uncontrolled factors, I could only get 190to 200 watts from the two working together. It took awhile to get three machines fully charged, three days and then using grid power to finish. Granted the delta pro started out flat. So no wonder. Time was of the essence as you can io so to finish with the grid was a no brainer. With all systems fully charged we were ready for the onslaught of Helene. Fortunately for us we live inland 5miles so the now famous storm surge was far away. The wind is another with gust reaching upwards of 75-80 mph, and the storm when it was directly across from us was still 50miles away , headed to Big Bend to make landfallWe lost power within hours of the first gusts of wind. During the next 24 hrs rain and wind snapped trees and limbs and we would have been in the dark save for our backup’s. All devices were on, cooling us through the night running internet , as long as that lasted, and cooking our meals the next morning.Considering the circumstances and my own inexperience, the system did their job. I will buy an extra battery for each wave 2, to get us through the night without stopping. But being spoiled by the convenience of the grid, I welcomed it back.Overall it was a good learning experience and I will be reassured that the EcoFlow system will be there ready to go again.
I originally purchased an Oukitel Abearl P5000 because it was significantly less expensive and provided 5120 Wh. However, after six months of use it died suddenly and I need an immediate replacement. I chose the EcoFlow Delta Pro and it has been excellent solare generator. I live off-grid so I rely exclusively on solar power. One of the advantages of the EcoFlow DELTA Pro is that the solar intake is 1600 versus 1000 watts of the Oukitel. So although it has less battery storage than my Oukitel, it recharges faster. Second, it is expandable. The Oukitel is not expandable. I can increase my system by adding additional plug-n-play batteries (2) and/or another Delta Pro. This is a game changer. I purchased my Ecoflow Delta Pro a couple of weeks ago. That and a couple of solar panels were shipped quickly, less than a week. The only drawback is that it wont charge or put out power when it's very cold. I live in southern Utah at about 7300 feet above sea level. I hope to remedy this with a low watt heating pad under the unit. Other than that I am very impressed with the Delta Pro and plan to order another one with another solar panel. I kicked off the main grid breaker and back fed my 200 amp panel with the 30 amp RV outlet on the Delta Pro. Being 120VAC it would only run half my house but would do it well. I plan to purchase another one with the 240vac voltage hub to I can run most of my house being discreet on what I run and what I don't run all the time. ... MoreI purchased my Ecoflow Delta Pro a couple of weeks ago. I live in a rural area and suffer through at least a few multi-day outages every year. The worst one was during an ice storm right before Thanksgiving a few years ago that left us without power for a week and a half. Coming home to what feels like a cold campsite daily living off whatever you can make on a natural gas cooktop and warming yourself by the fireplace is not my idea of a relaxing evening. Add to that, my neighbors Generac’s taunting me with their loud engines all day and night. After that, I decided that I was going to do some research on the best option and spend the money on a system so that I’d never live through that again.I had a 10 circuit manual transfer switch installed at my home by an electrician. It allows me to plug in my 7500w gas generator or my 2 EcoFlow Delta Pros and 2 extra batteries via the dual voltage hub. This setup allows me to primarily run the quiet EcoFlow system at night and use the gas generator to re-charge my EcoFlow system during the day, or use it as the ultimate backup if needed.I have the following on my switch: Water Well Pump, Furnace/thermostat, Garage (internet modem location), basement, bathroom, kitchen (includes fridge, freezer, cooking appliances, lights), living room (TV, work from home office), master bedroom. The EcoFlow handles all of that with no issues. During my first test day, I took a long hot shower and had my furnace cranking on a 19 degree PA night. Ran my lights, TV, internet as usual and woke up the next day with plenty of power left. Coffee was brewed and the house was warm. Obviously, during a real outage, I’d be a bit more conservative on what I use to save the batteries a bit, but the point is that it’s capable of getting you through the night and beyond.I have tested the EcoFlow system and have found it to be able to power my home reliably and realistically for a little over 24 hours without needing to be recharged. I maintain my setup by running a monthly “fire drill”, connecting my EcoFlow system, shutting off the main breaker, turning on the transfer switch, and living as I would during an outage for a day. The next day, when my EcoFlows get down to about 20% left, I turn the main power back on, fire up my generator, and recharge the EcoFlows.Having a transfer switch installed and using the EcoFlow combined with a gas generator IS EXPENSIVE. Even on sale, this system is NOT cheap. However, it is still slightly less expensive than what I was quoted for a Generac full home natural gas generator installation. What I like about it is the fact that you can quietly power your home at night, have multiple refuel/recharge options, and most importantly, you’re not at the mercy of the power company, natural gas company, and the Generac repairman when your expensive unit ultimately fails. This setup allows me to plug and play anything strong enough to power my switch if anything happens to fail. You can’t do that with a Generac. My area has also had natural gas issues from time to time with low/no pressure. Again, that renders your Generac useless.I plan on buying another battery or 2 during one of the sales this year. I kind of regret not waiting for the Delta Pro Ultra to be released and buy that, but I am happy with this system. It’s disappointing that EcoFlow hasn’t made an easy adapter to connect the Delta Pro Ultra and Delta Pros. I know you can do it with the smart panel, but I already have a transfer switch that works perfectly fine. If you’re young and capable of maneuvering them and plugging things in and operating a transfer switch, this is a nice system. I’m so happy it’s on wheels! It would be nice if some of the cords, including the ones that are used to re-charge the units and the ones that connect the battery to the main unit, were longer. I am really hoping the price on this equipment continues to become more reasonable so people like me can have an affordable arsenal of backup power stored in their home for the next disaster that the power company didn’t prepare for and cannot fix in a reasonable amount of time.
We purchased our EcoFlow Delta Pro 120V 3600WH Solar Kit bundle with folding solar panels approximately two weeks ago, and recently set it up for testing. To say we are excited and happy with our purchase would be a huge understatement! We have limited space, as we live in a rented townhouse with no yard and a garage sized for two “miniature cars”.We hooked up our large freeze dryer (HarvestRight) and large Traeger smoker (Timberline 1300) for the test run….the results? Together, they barely put a dent in the capacity of the generator. This test was super important, as the freeze dryer requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit. Since we don’t have that ability in the home itself, we figured the generator would be that “dedicated circuit” starting out, then we’d add ... MoreWe purchased our EcoFlow Delta Pro 120V 3600WH Solar Kit bundle with folding solar panels approximately two weeks ago, and recently set it up for testing. Together, they barely put a dent in the capacity of the generator. This test was super important, as the freeze dryer requires a dedicated 20-amp circuit. Since we don’t have that ability in the home itself, we figured the generator would be that “dedicated circuit” starting out, then we’d add something else to make the test more realistic. As I said above, the generator didn’t even break a sweat! We’ve used only household power to recharge the system so far, and will be using the solar panels next week. Although we don’t anticipate changing how we feel about the unit, we’ll update this review if anything material changes. This is one of those purchases that we realize is a huge game changer in preparing for whatever may come our way. The ONLY regret we have is that it took us many months to make the decision to buy. Ultimately, this decision was made much easier as the sale prices started to show up.If you’re looking at buying this unit, we offer the following specific comments:1. The shipping was pretty fast.2. Customer support was quick to respond with any questions we had.3. Set up was VERY straightforward.4. The unit is heavy, which is to be expected for what it is. Having said that, it is very easy to maneuver with the wheels and extending handle.5. Last, but not least; the peace of mind, knowing we have power for just about any situation. This is the most important part, and cannot really be compared to anything else….be prepared, not scared! If you’re on the fence about purchasing one of these units, we hope this review provides some useful information to help you make a decision!
I purchased this unit to replace my 1-year-old Delta Pro, which stopped working. Why did I stick with the brand? After investing over $10,000 in their proprietary batteries, vehicle chargers, and other accessories, I felt stuck. Either I throw away all that investment or hope the new main unit would be better. To my disbelief, a product marketed as a "solar generator" prioritizes AC power over solar charging. I own 16 of their solar panels, yet the system charges from a 110V AC outlet instead. I found a firmware update that was supposed to fix this issue, but that's when my problems really began. The unit became unresponsive during the update process. When I contacted customer service, I was brushed off. As a small business owner, I'm no stranger to technology, and every other company I deal with can handle firmware updates while you're still on the phone. Not here. After 72 hours of silence, I decided to order a new unit and vowed to share my experience online. This review is just the beginning.
I have Generac portable gas generator and live in an area with a lot of power outages. I purchased the EcoFlow Delta Pro to run at night and for short term outages. Had the first chance to run it recently and it was great! I love that the app tells me the usage so I can see what happens when I run a toaster or hairdryer or the furnace fan comes on, etc. My electrician set up our service panel with an outlet to plug in either generator and then select certain circuits to power. We do not need to back up the whole house, only critical circuits.I did have a slight issue finding a plug that could attach between the EcoFlow and the cord that connects to our service outlet. The first one I bought from Amazon was a right angle model and since the 30W outlet on the EcoFlow is very close to the ground, I realized the cord might be crimped unless I put the battery up on a riser or something. But no worries, I just got a straight plug connector and all was fine. I did a test to make sure I knew what to do in good weather and didn't have fumble around in a raging storm. I learned quickly there are 2 buttons to push: power and the AC power. Duh!All in all really happy. Can't say on the duration the battery will run for since this last outage was only 1 hour long. We often are without power for 3 to 5 days. EcoFlow is going to provide peace of mind in those long outages.
