I got a free travel size (don't see it available anymore) of this cleanser free from @ulta. They've been having some great free kits with purchase lately! Anyway, I love ecotools. Their bioblender biodegradable makeup sponge is my current favorite (I agree it's softer than a regular sponge but still amazing and the environment is worth it!) and I used to get some great affordable brushes from them (I just like using a sponge for everything now.) At $7.99 for 6oz this is super affordable, you only need a tiny bit plus I've seen this on sale. This is fragrance free, hypoallergenic, and dye free. It's a great weekly cleanse, it will remove 90% of makeup if you use it once a week as directed. I use beautyblender fragrance free solid cleanser to spot treat remaining ... MoreI got a free travel size (don't see it available anymore) of this cleanser free from @ulta. I haven't used these on brushes, but they clean a sponge so well I imagine it would work great! Love this, love that it's clean and good for sensitive skin, definitely purchasing the full size when I run out!

I have a few bottles of this brush and sponge shampoo on back stock in my home. Grab it when they go on sale. I find eco tools to have the best cleaner for the price. Others are too expensive. It cleans my brushes perfectly and doesn’t cause any damage to them. It’s important to have clean brushes every time they are used to stop the spread of bacteria. If you are experiencing breakouts, try cleaning your brushes more often. I know it’s a pain but this shampoo makes it easy when used with a brush cleaning pad that can be bought at a makeup store or amazon.

This cleansing shampoo for makeup brushes is fantastic! I have very oily skin, so my makeup brushes get oily and the makeup over time starts to clump up and build up down inside the brush and on the bristles. I saw this product recommended in an article I found online for brush cleaners and was amazed at the price, so I thought I'd give it a try. And wow! I was able to clean my brushes very quickly and watched all the makeup wash down the drain in no time at all.I also love that this is fragrance free because I have sensitive skin.I definitely recommend this product!! My brushes now look like new!! Thank you for a wonderful and affordable product that I feel will go a long way before I have to purchase again. 5 stars for sure!

This has got to be the best brush cleaner I've tried. I've used the Morphe brush balm and the Real Techniques brush balm and I felt both of those cleaned alright, but not super amazingly. I tried this and the KEY PART is I ALSO used the *e.l.f. makeup brush cleaning glove* to help work the product in better. That tag team made my mom and I's brushes look completely new again. She uses very, heavy duty matte foundation every single day, where as I use more lightweight and dewy products- and it worked on both like a charm. I saw a one star review where someone had a more compact brush, and I would advice using a silicone brush cleaning tool to help work this product in better. But it is amazing, quite literally.
I've used it now a couple of times along with a 2-3 finger sized silicone cleanser pad. It works good as far as cleaning majority of the product out of the brushes. You can definitely see the pigmentation buildup caused from product use flow from the brushes as you rinse them with the shampoo! But like I said, it's good for the price! The brushes aren't completely shampooed to their original coloring, with a very light tint of the product coloring left behind, no matter how many times I shampoo it. I think now I can say I've probably used the shampoo 3-4x by now & my bottle is almost gone because of how much shampooing I've done in an attempt to rinse off all coloring. It a good recommendation I'd give if you don't care for a complete, restoring clean!!
This stuff forces me to clean my brushes twice every time I use it. The soap takes FOREVER to rinse out. I could clean a brush for five minutes and it would still feel slightly soapy after it dries; it's basically impossible to tell if all the soap is gone while it's wet. I feel like anyone giving this a positive review must not have tried many brush shampoos/cleansers. Literally the first alternative I tried (S*phora Collection Solid Brusher & Sponge Cleaner) was a massive improvement: suddenly my brushes feel soft and... well, actually CLEAN after they dry. And this is not a quality control issue: I've gone through several bottles of this stuff, before and after the bottle redesign, just assuming this was the best I could get. I had an old bottle of EcoTools' brush cleanser that I bought a few years back. It was a great cleanser. It cleaned my Urban Decay brushes really well and lasted a few years.HOWEVER, the new bottle I bought did not clean my brushes well. Instead of cleaning them, it left a gunky residue and made the bristles into weird shape. It was so awful that I simply had no words to describe it. I was so afraid that it had damaged the new Tom Ford brushes that I just added to my collection. Thankfully, I used the unscented Viori shampoo bar to clean my brushes after I read reviews about Zotte bars. And the Viori shampoo bar resurrected and restored my brushes.STAY AWAY from this product
LIFE CHANGING! I have previously been using dawn dish soap for cleaning my brushes AND beauty blenders, and it was a CHORE. Not only did it not fully clean my brushes, but it took forever to dry and there was still soap in the brushes and blenders once fully dry. This stuff - WOW. I only use 2 beauty blenders (switch out when one gets overly dirty) and around 5 or 6 makeup brushes daily - this was not only so simple to use, it literally took me 5 minutes to clean all of them. Even my TOUghEST beauty blender that had some foundation and concealer caked on! I was about to spend $20 on ‘the good stuff’ but this stood up to the pros! Amazing! Will be buying in the future. Love how it has little to no scent, too!
I didn't realize what I was missing until I used this cleaner. I used to use just plain dish soap and I always hated how my brushes came out and it would eventually ruin them. So naturally I did the disgusting thing and decide to stop washing them lol. Well I bought this stuff on a whim, loved that it was unscented!! And wow, what a difference. It made my brushes soft and fluffy and clean like they were brand new! I only had to use a lot of product on a couple brushes that had a ton of residue on them, but honestly it did such a good job I didn't care. Buy it!
