Really fast delivery, took only 1days (shipped monday and received tuesday). The price was excellent. The product look like new and perform like new. The product was packaging like new, the only way to tell the difference with a new product and a refurbished, it is the refurbished as a small sticker telling that it's a refurbished product. That's the only way to tell the difference between a refurbished and a new product

There is a saying about things being too good to be true, and that's what this is. For an entry level product, it stands at the top in my mind. You have more connectivity options than most standalone DACs, all of which work quite easily. Speakers sounds great, if a little distant in the mids, but for this price, you get a quality that you don't get with the other usual suspects (Creative, Logitech, Corsair etc). There's actual thought to the tuning to make it both an excellent music listening and movie watching experience. The sub doesn't go super low, but that's to be expected. Whilst it barely plays 30 below, above that it's quite authoritive, but the usual suspects probably beat it in quantity, but not so much quality wise. So, if you want to start your journey ... So, if you want to start your journey on good speakers with more connectivity options than the competition, this is the way to go. Unfortunately, there's one dealbreaker for me and for some reason it's not well reported. This unit and other units Edifier makes (including the 351 which is the newer revision) is plagued with an amp that makes a high pitched whining sound when no audio is playing. This can be heard when your room is silent (if you have a fan on, you won't hear it over the fan). At first you don't really notice it, but after a while it gets very annoying. "But what about the digital inputs?" No. Sorry, it plagues those too, but only when you actually connect a source to it, otherwise they stay silent. Now, if you're CONSTANTLY listening to sound (which is highly unlikely), then you're fine, or, you can manually turn off the unit every time you stop listening to music/sound (switches on and off quite fast), or, you can make your room's noise floor higher than the whine (a fan, open some windows if you're near a road etc). So overall, I still recommend it for entry level users and those who can drown out / not hear the high pitched whine as connectivity and sound quality at this price point is awesome. I've already done entry level and have jumped into midfi (Klipsch RP-500M + SVS PB-1000 + Emotiva BasX + MiniDSP + my already owned Ifi iDSD Micro Black Label) which of course is in a different stratosphere, but cost almost TEN TIMES the amount AND I don't have Bluetooth :) So yeah. Anyway, BE WEARY of this issue if you are a critical listener, it will destroy your relationship with this other amazing value for money unit.

It is definitely an improvement from what we had but the voices still do not sound as clear as I hoped (I am still enjoying it). Best solution for what I wanted to spend.Did not realize that the location of the subwoofer was fixed. I mean that the satellite speakers have different length cables so you will need to have the right speaker closer to the subwoofer whether you like it or not. The left speaker cable is much longer.... and you cannot swap the cables (different connectors) so you cannot swap them to match the layout of your room. No problems with the bluetooth connection... phone / computer / smart speaker all connect. One small issue, my Amazon smart speaker auto-connects to it... so when I want a computer to connect to the speaker, I have to walk over ... No big deal and maybe the Amazon smart speaker causing the issue. Power cable was a little short. I do not know that I would consider 8" subwoofer as "massive" but like I said, I am, overall, happy with the sound.

For audio equipment, especially speakers, I usually don't end up rating 5 stars. These deserve it! I'll start where it matters; the sound. The lows are clear, deep, undistorted, and you can feel it if you turn the bass up. The rest of the sound range is also amazing for drivers of this size, and crystal clear. The tweeters help with the highs to bring some extra crispness to the sound. These sound more expensive than they are, not that they're cheap, but you get the point. Definitely better sound quality than the Logitech speakers, to me at least. And better than Bose as well. If you want a rival to compare it to, look to Klipsch. Games sound great on them, too.For the rest, they look great with the wood grain finish. Definitely more pleasant than plastic or that ... Games sound great on them, too.For the rest, they look great with the wood grain finish. Definitely more pleasant than plastic or that weird silver-over-particle-board stuff. The knobs on the side of the right speaker feel heavy in a good, well made way. Yes, the cables and connections are unconventional. That's okay! If you need to extend the one that has the connector that looks like a VGA cable, you can! Get yourself a VGA monitor cable and a coupler - not kidding - and boom, you have some extra length! The subwoofer is large, so plan for that. It's a "normal sized" subwoofer, like you'd have for a home stereo system. Not incredible common for computer speakers, but you can't argue the sound. The remote is nice, and allows you to select different inputs, volume, and you can pause, play, or skip when using bluetooth - a very welcomed surprise! By the way, they sound great using bluetooth. My only complaint is that the remote is round, so in the dark, it can take a second to be sure it's pointing the right way.Overall, if you're looking at computer speakers, or even home theater speakers in this price range, these are it. You may even be happy if you planned on spending more. Well worth it!
Had a Klipsch Pro Media with a woofer that busted. Been rocking duct tape as a temporary fix. Also had a Leviathan hooked up to a tv mounted above my monitor. Decided to purchase these to replace both speaker sets. The sound is amazing and the bass is clear. Dialogue doesnt sound low or muddied by the bass. For the price the sound quality is a huge improvement and probably sounds better than the $800-1200 sound bar systems i was flirting with.
These are replacing my 10+ year old Klipsch Pro Media 2.1's. Sadly they bit the dust and it seems Best Buy no longer carries them. I was disappointed to see they were no longer in stock. There just isn't much else in that $150 price range that matches what those speakers could do.After much youtubing and redditing I landed on these and I am not disappointed.I am not a hardcore audiophile, but I can appreciate good sound and know what I like. These fit the bill and sound more like something in the $500 price range. The first thing I noticed is that these are HEAVY. The build quality seems to be top notch. Only time will tell how they hold up, but I can see these outlasting my old Pro Medias.Sound quality is amazing as you may have gathered. I am hearing sounds that I didn't get from the Klipschs. Honestly that is saying a lot as they were no slouch. I never felt a need to replace those. The highs and mids are excellent and the bass hits appropriately. Some EQ tweaking may be required, but is mostly personal preference.Set up is easy. Inputs, including Bluetooth are a welcome option that I didn't have before. Obviously not as modular as a passive set-up with an dedicated amp, but its very good for what it offers and cuts down on bulk and cables.I would highly recommend this for a pc set up. Skip the fancy gaming/RGB set ups. This is better. Embrace it!This is also a great option for a living room TV set up if you don't want to go full surround, but want better than a sound bar or tv speakers. It has an optical cable and will work by default with any modern TV right out of the box.I noticed a lot of people online wondering how these are against the Klipsch Pro-Media. As a 10+ year user of those speakers, I can say these are truly better. And they should be at twice the cost. Are they twice as good? No. Price to performance, the pro medias are still king. But if you can foot the extra cost, you will get better sound, quality build and slightly more modularity. I fully expect these to last as long or longer than Klipschs.Thank you Edifier for making such a great product at a reasonable price.
I've had these speakers for a little over three weeks and have been very impressed in that short time frame. Since working from home I've been able to use a small Bluetooth speaker in our home office but wanted a better setup, that led to the decision to upgrade to the Edifier speaker system listed above.Upon receipt the item was packaged by very safely and no damage was noticed. The bass really drives home the full sound, the 8-inch subwoofer gives a powerful bottom to all of my favorite songs and adds an whole new level to the sound quality. The final point that really stands out to me is the included remote. You're able to adjust volume and even skip songs on the original device directly through the speakers, not a necessity by any stretch but a great bonus feature. At this point I have not noticed any downsides to the speakers. My neighbors may disagree but for the price these really can't be matched. Great quality and a very clean look!
Great speakers. They're pretty straightforward in terms of set up and it comes with every cable you'd need for whatever you want to hook it up to. I listened to the Halo: Reach soundtrack to really test them out and MY. GOD. did that sound fantastic. It brought me right back to highschool days, playing halo all summer. They get really loud too if that's what you're going for, but most of the time I don't even have them at half volume and it's plenty loud for jamming out and singing however poorly you want without worrying who can hear you. I'm no expert, but the bass doesn't get muddy or thumpy and lose the note (although there's plenty of rumble), mids and highs don't get lost at any volume I've tested. It's worth mentioning that I did tool around with the bass and treble knobs to get the sound that *I* wanted to hear and I have not gone over like 75% volume, if that. All in all I definitely recommend these if you're looking for a simple, but very nice speaker experience.Disclaimer for value: I bought them on sale and am privileged enough to have used the Best Buy credit card to finance it, but even without that, I'd be a happy camper.
Excellent sound. With bass & treble softened the mid rage is excellent for clarity of speech. Ordinarily I like strong bass for music or movies but for my current use (listening to people with language issues, slurred or mumbled) this superb - heard and shoulders above every thing else I tried. If I were to do it again I would probably get it without the subwoofer - I'm sure i'd get enough bass out of the R&L side speakers alone.I did find set up difficult & instructions minimal and poor. Bluetooth pairing poor: speakers were hard connect to. They often did not show up on the Blue Tooth add screen. The instructions to make them "discoverable" were vague. Even when you got them discoverable, it takes along time to show up & you get "device not Responding" ... MoreExcellent sound.
