To date, the collar and receiver have performed well after only having used it for a few days. I have high expectations and our dog (a 1-year-old Spinone) appears to be responding admirably. That said, I have never seen an owners manual with such poor quality of information. It is FULL of grammatical errors and appears to be an entirely poor translation from whatever language it started out at. It's embarrassing to see that an obviously poor manual made it past a proofreader. There are vague instructional sections that could be made more elegant if the pictorials included which button does what. These particular references could have been more effective had they been placed as facing pages to allow for a better understanding. I found myself reaching out to your customer service team (more than once) to try and wade through how to use this device. The first call came with a response to my frustration with the manual came from a customer service member who came right out and admitted that "we're re-doing this manual". I'm happy to discuss live if continuous improvement is a goal. This has been a very frustrating kickoff for this special training opportunity. This manual should be totally intuitive to the user. It's not, and I hope that your next go at it makes it a more friendly and instructional part of the user experience.

Would love if the battery life lasted longer. I have to charge the collar daily, even without use. The program instructions are a bit vaige and I had to use YouTube in order to program the remote. I did contact customer service amd they were prompt to call the following business day. However, YouTube had already been utilized. Unfortunately, due to the price of the collar I expected more. A considerably cheaper collar I purchased for another dog works just as well as the expensive Educator collar.

I originally bought this unit with the stop-watch design from Amazon and that particular unit was defective. It would not hold a consistent level - i.e. level 9 would a super mild stimulus to a moderate stimulus when no change to the dial had been made…that one went back (lesson always do thorough testing on one self prior to putting it on the dog). The EZ900 I purchased directly from this website, the oblong design and fits much better in my hand - the stop-watch design is awkward for my small hand - the one thing I do not care for is the level dial is difficult to move up and down one level at a hand…it kind of bounces 2-3 levels at a time - I need to use two hands and have my eyes off my dog for several seconds to change levels during our training ... MoreI originally bought this unit with the stop-watch design from Amazon and that particular unit was defective. My preference would be a tactile click to the dial so I could confirm the transmitter dial moving as the levels change. (On a side note I emailed customer service and Amber sent me a new transmitter thinking the one I had was defective, however it was exactly the same except the color had been swapped for black so I sent the new transmitter back.) Another design feature I don’t like is the pairing of the unit to the transmitter/remote each time you turn it on. This is a pain; often I forget to do this and have to struggle to get the two into paired after I put it on my dog…Other than these two issues I really like the product. It has micro-level increases with e-stim. I use it on my Labrador and feel the collar is a compact design, the hand held unit is comfortable. The hand-held unit has four button that can be programmed to the function you choose. The collar light turns green when a non-verbal command is given and the transmitter has a green indicator light that shows a stim/tone or vibration has been delivered. The collar also has a very bright constant or blinking white light for after dark use, tone works great, vibrate is also a great feature- I read in the description these also have varying levels but I have not been able to adjust either…I could be wrong on that. The transmitter can be turned off while the collar is still paired to it so you don’t accidentally send a random signal to your dog…I really like this feature…for me the battery lasts a really long time. I can use it for several hours/days without recharging if I need to. My dog has it on about 4 hours every day and I charge the unit once a week. It is easy to program and easy to use. I watched a random dog trainer on you tube to learn how to navigate the system…she made it easy.

This is light years ahead of our old training collars, and it was stupid simple for anyone in our family to use with only like 30secs of training and most of that time was explaining what the dog has been trained to do for time/buzz/stimulation….We are using it on an extremely hardheaded terrier who very much likes to do what he wants to do, but with this collar we are teaching him that a tone actually equals something he likes (we trained him to come on tone using his favorite peanut butter treats) so now if he is focused on chasing something in the yard, once he hears the tone he breaks off the chase and comes to us.The only knock on this collar is the charging - it’s kinda annoying that the collar and controller use different charging connectors, it would ... MoreThis is light years ahead of our old training collars, and it was stupid simple for anyone in our family to use with only like 30secs of training and most of that time was explaining what the dog has been trained to do for time/buzz/stimulation….We are using it on an extremely hardheaded terrier who very much likes to do what he wants to do, but with this collar we are teaching him that a tone actually equals something he likes (we trained him to come on tone using his favorite peanut butter treats) so now if he is focused on chasing something in the yard, once he hears the tone he breaks off the chase and comes to us.The only knock on this collar is the charging - it’s kinda annoying that the collar and controller use different charging connectors, it would be a mic drop if they both used USB C connectors to charge since we have plenty of those chargers and cords around the house. In addition, I really like that this is made in the USA, I haven’t kids and I want them to be able to find good employment when they grow up and every company that makes stuff in the US helps ensure they will have jobs some day.
Bought this for my Irishdoodle puppy who was great off leash until around 8 months when he would sometimes selectively listen and chase creatures into the woods. I was hesistant to get a "shock collar" but after learning about it, it worked very well. We started with a low level of stimulation to get his attention, and had him coordinate the learning with the vibrate. Vibrate, then stimulation. After a few days of learning, he got the picture, and became a good listener again, staying away from dangerous areas / creatures. Now he is able to be off leash all the time with his collar on, and listens much better even with collar off. Great purchase.
Was purchased as 3 dog system. The fist issue I had was the remote went on the fritz and called to get a replacement, received within a week. I called to get help setting it back up. Person was very respectful and did what she could, but what I found out was this. The collar system was purchased through my trainer. He set it up for and gave it to me after my dogs had been there for training, highly recomended by him. What I have come to learn is that the collar offers 4 options continuos stim, momentary stim, vibrate and tone. You cannot use them symotaniously. You can only have one option take a pick. My other systems had the ability to use to types of stimulus, I liked being able to use the vibrate as a precursor and then the ability to use continuous stim if ... MoreWas purchased as 3 dog system. I went with the EZ-900 as I didn't like the round controller and did not like that the FOB didn't have a wheel to adjust levels. This met all expectations, however there are a few things that just make this product not the best of the best.1. Turning the remote and collar on and off is not ideal. The remote - is irritating if you want to turn it on or off fast, because you have to hold the button for 2 seconds. Sometimes you want to pick it up, and just use it quick. If it just turned on when I rotated the level wheel it would be so much better! The collar - It requires you to place (physically touch the controller to the collar) the controller on the underside of the collar to turn it on or off. Try doing that with it on your dog. Less than idea. Why couldn't it ... MoreI went with the EZ-900 as I didn't like the round controller and did not like that the FOB didn't have a wheel to adjust levels. This met all expectations, however there are a few things that just make this product not the best of the best.1. For example. volume up = Rotate Right, but this remote, if you want to level up, you rotate left. Also, the dial is very touchy. Want to land on level 10? You will hover 8-9 or 13-11 and really have to focus to hit 10. Ideally, the dial should be OFF to Full, with integrated switch and notches as rotates.Other than those things, the collar is great.
First Experience: My male mini Goldendoodle was difficult to train with treats and positive reinforcement alone. I even added a slip collar, but he would still jump up on his hind legs when another dog came near. I started reading about e-collar training and chose the Mini Educator. Using a balanced training approach I am now able to take him anywhere, even off leash, and have him follow my commands like a pro. He loves the collar because he knows it means he gets to take a walk. Our world has changed.Second Experience: My daughter was so impressed by how well my dog has been behaving that she asked me to help with her Bernedoodle. I found that she understood commands, but her compliance was variable and she was extremely reactive to people or dogs on the road. I was afraid that she might hurt herself when I held her back with a leash. So I decided to gift my daughter an Easy Educator. Within days she has been following all of my commands with no leash pressure. She is like a different dog!I like the both transmitter versions, but lean towards the EZ-900 over the ET-300.My only negative is that the written instructions for both models are confusing at times. Do yourself a favor and watch a video on setting up your controller and watch e-collar training videos so you do it the right way from the beginning.
I have worked diligently with my Akita/husky mix on recall and obedience since she was born. She started jumping fences and none of my methods were working. After about a month of researching every training method available using this tool I took the plunge. My dogs working level is a 6. I cannot feel it at all until a level 17. She understands that this is just another Chanel of communication and she comes running to me regardless of if I am out of sight immediately upon feeling the sensation (not painful). My dog also knows that the sensation is positive and ascociated with treArts and praise. We have also started agility training with the eazy educator. This has completely improved the freedom my dog has and opened up so many activities for us to try together. ... MoreI have worked diligently with my Akita/husky mix on recall and obedience since she was born. Condition the dog correctly that this is a positive thing and you will NOT be disappointed. You will need to order the thick hair prongs for a double coated fluff ball . I am also ordering a 3/4 bungee collar for hugely improved comfort AND contact.
