I bought these when they first came out and they are definitely worth it. Tried numerous other networking brands and had poor network coverage, with frequent drop outs. Changed over to the Eeros and the difference was immediate, easy to set up and use with the app on your phone.Having the option to enable features like Secure Queue Management, Band Steering and DNS Caching is also a great addition. Looking forward to when they release the v5 firmware update and Eero Secure in Australia (hopefully soon).Even though I'm currently using them in Bridge Mode (turns them into wireless access points) I still would recommend them to anyone who wants fast and reliable WiFi and Ethernet networks, with minimum hassle.

Went to JB HiFi to buy a google nest system after I was getting terrible speeds from my WiFi extenders I had set up. They were out of stock so the salesman suggested the eero product that was on special so over $100 cheaper than Google. Using the app I set up the 3 units in 10 minutes and the speeds went from around 3MB/sec to over 70. Connected all devices with ease. Can't see how there could be a better home WiFi solution than this one.

I replaced a high end Linksys 2.4 / 5ghz router. I have a 3 floor house and teenage kids. Always complaints of devices dropping out. I added an extender to the Linksys, it interferes with the channels and the smart Linksys would shut down interfered channels. I am surrounded by neighbours with a similar predicament and it would seem we are competing for the most powerful wifi System to ensure we can block out others from interference. It has been a nightmare! Bought the eero mesh a week ago. Simple to set up, it works well as far as coverage and it appears to be coping with my noisy neighbours. I have no complaints from the family and speed for Netflix is pretty good. Cannot express how easy it was to get this setup. I'm a little sceptical about products that promise to do it all for you out-of-the-box, but eero came through on this one! Barely 15 minutes after opening the box, and had all 3 nodes working and great coverage throughout the home, including the outside garage. The speed at the furthest node was impressive, and the coverage range is more than satisfactory.
Don’t bother with Google/Nest Wifi. I went that way first and it was … fine? But still had slowness, drops and random device disconnects. After a particularly frustrating issue of Teams causing drops, I went and bought an Eero 3 pack.Friends, I was SO ANGRY at how much better it was for the same price.It works, it just works.Siri is faster on HomePod/Apple TV than I have ever seen it, it has network level adblock which is awesome and makes the web feel much quicker.If you’re considering a Mesh, this is your option. Apparently the WiFi 6 version is pretty good also.
It’s not compatible out of the box with NBN connections! Australian ISPs predominantly use PPPoE connections, while this can only do DHCP. After calling Eero support, the US consultant advised to tell my ISP to “switch” my connection to DHCP. After ringing TPG, they advised they can’t and spent an hour troubleshooting. I’ve read online some people had some success “bridging” etc, but it’s not optimal. This is an American product not designed for our connections. Waste of time.
The setup was super easy and fast. Now the wifi signal in a very large house is amazing! A few issues with the odd device that can only work on 2.4ghz but the app lets you force 2.4ghz so those devices that are being picky can join. For the price I can't fault it on ease and especially performance. I have setup and used 3 other mainstream mesh systems and I would recommend this one for sure .
Functionally the Eero works great. Phenomenal coverage, regular software updates, app is easy to use. The entire system is very easy to setup. Where I have issues is recently Eero released a software upgrade that would show you your internet usage, which is fantastic in the age of working remotely. What isn’t fantastic (and why I’m only giving three stars) is the fact you can only view the current week. Want further history? Only purchased a few hours ago and set up. I have a 4 bedroom split level home and before using eero we had the poorest wifi reception and a lot of dead zones. The second eero was on the dead spots were gone and we now have full strong connection throughout the whole house. Set up was super easy! You will not be disappointed in this purchase.Con: the only thing I’d like to see in future updated models is an option for the eero pods to be able to be hung on a wall.

As the days go on however the eeros have started to drop connection, this started happening a while ago, and it's been getting worse and worse. Internet speeds are worse from the eero even directly connected to Ethernet. Not only that but the parental controls do not work and are easily avoided. I've also had times where devices wont even connect to the eeros for a while. It sucks having these whenever they drop out because if you are watching a video or playing a game online it just stops working.
