Th only thing Pro about this product is the price. Awful configuration with zero flexibility and additional features locked behind a subscription, needed to use PPPoE but to configure you first must have a working internet connection, then if you misconfigure your PPPoE you need to factory reset and start again. If you have simple needs buy something cheaper, if you need custom configs or complex requirements then avoid this at all costs.

I had the Eero pro 6 and decided to upgrade to Eero pro 6E, I was skeptical at first thinking it wouldn't make a difference but it did, less congestion. With the former it did great but with the 6E it's better in performance and speed plus it is future proof. Speeds up more with the 6ghz. I enjoy Eero products are the best in my opinion.

Amazing at providing wireless internet and very easy to setup. Terrible with basic control of your own home internet. You are required to pay 100$ a year to block access to sites. We have kids. This is a really stupid pay wall for a device that normally costs over 500$ for the 3 units.

Just Google eero red light. These are the biggest pile of garbage I’ve ever owned. I’ve bought two sets thinking I got a bad first set. Nope they’re all junk. Thousands of people have same problem and their customer service is just as bad. Most technical people that’s had constant outages daily like myself state software is crap with eero and lacks the proper diagnostic ability to report back to eero. So glitches never get fixed even with software updates. Just avoid these, they may look appealing but they’re more trouble than they’re worth.
So I've only kept Google routers up until now. I picked up the Eero on a recommendation from a friend. It's got an easy set up that rivals the Google router, and its got the speeds and range of a Netgear. Its a mesh router, but we havent needed any satellites. The one covers our 2400 sqft house from the basement. The tools it comes with helped me pinpoint interference when we moved to a house with a garage. It tells you the traffic and interference of each band (2.4, 5 and 6GHz). While i don't have any devices that only use 2.4Ghz, but its got a mode to account for that.
I'm generally a fan of the Eero product. I maintain several Eero 6 networks for family members and never have an issue. The Pro 6E line is a completely different story. I've had it for about 18 months and it's been a constant series of problems. Which of course didn't start until about month after purchase and outside the return window. The main network will randomly drop its connection to my internet router but the guest network will be just fine. Not sure how that happens because it's same cable.Device will remain connected to the network but drop all other connectivity. Can't access the internet, can't ping other devices on the network, and ipconfig renew / reset take forever.I can't tell you how many times I've been disconnected from a game or a meeting ... Can't access the internet, can't ping other devices on the network, and ipconfig renew / reset take forever.I can't tell you how many times I've been disconnected from a game or a meeting since I bought this. The WiFi speeds are far below what's advertised. Transferring data between different devices on the network sometimes works great and sometimes not so much. I've had data transfer rates plummet to 100kb/s (yes, bits, not bytes). And this is a common problem with this line. Reddit and Eeros own support site have a lot of posts on the topic. And I have yet to see one where a call to customer support resolved the issue.I used to recommend Eero products whenever someone would ask what mesh networks to look into. I don't know that I'll ever recommend or purchase another after this experience.
This router was recommended by my cable company. It is easy to set up and it doesn’t take up a lot of space. It has the latest security features and an app you can download to interface with the router. You can also connect a whole-house mesh system to provide connectivity everywhere in your home. Highly recommend.
These are so easy to set up in the Eero app. You can even quickly make a guest network and display a QR code to let visitors log into it. If you still have a computer or camera that only works on 2G though, the WiFi 6 systems won’t work for you because they blend the bandwidth together. My advice is get new equipment and enjoy the speed and range of this device. For IT pros, this Eero even supports bridge mode.
Was excited about a Wi-Fi 6e router at a great price, but with that price comes some very large limitations. Was coming from a Velop Wi-Fi 5 setup prior. Here are the limitations:- No browser interface to manage router, must use app- WPA3 support is beta, is really WPA2/WPA3 not WPA3 Personal- No ability for advanced network management, can’t configure a MAC address filter, which bands are in use, channels, anything- No ability to manually configure device prioritizationHere are the privacy concerns:- By default, your email address and name are used and uploaded to Facebook to be used for targeted advertising not only by Eero, but any advertisers that uses audience targeting. You have to email them with a specific subject line to opt-out- By default, you ... MoreWas excited about a Wi-Fi 6e router at a great price, but with that price comes some very large limitations. You have to email them with a specific subject line to opt-out- By default, you are enrolled in a trial of their Secure service, which further uses your personal data- Your device unique IDs are collected and used for targeting products and services to you. This unique ID allows advertisers to create profiles and link activity across 3rd parties- Eero collects the unique IDs and MAC addresses of all devices that connect to your networkWith an extremely limited ability to manage advanced settings, no ability manage the device from a browser, you can only use the app, no ability to see detailed logging of traffic on your network or what the router actually is doing, limited support for WPA3…you would be better off spending more money and getting a Wi-Fi 6e router that does not obscure it’s management functions and logging and provides finer-grained control over configuration. This is not really a “Pro” device. If you are a novice and want an inexpensive 6e router and are not concerned about your personal data, then this is not a bad option. If you want more control over your network security and desire more transparency, try a device like Linksys Atlas AXE8400. That is what I am replacing this with.
I’ve had multiple routers, from differing brands throughout the years of WiFi. The coming of WiFi6 was a blessing to accommodate an only growing number of connected devices to my network. There are so many smart devices and brands that make them, you’re bound to have compatibility issues. I’ve had issues with my household’s security cameras just not showing up as available to connect on hubs that were promised to make managing all of them seamless. The eero Pro 6E tri-band mesh Wi-Fi 6E system (3-pack) has been surprisingly seamless the short time I’ve been using them. The app is dummy proof, set up was simple, and I have not had any issues requiring a customer support yet. The package of 3 was a nice size to cover my home’s square footage, and I was grateful for the technology that supported 8K streaming. I hope to never have 100 devices connected to my network, but eero claims to support them all if the situation should arise. A truly wireless home is becoming more real with this mesh network system, with a WiFi speed that exceeds CAT5e, so I am impressed with this eero Pro 6E system.
