I already own one of the professional hedge cutters, which is ideal for cutting big hedges, but I needed a smaller sized one to cut smaller and more compact hedges and for shaping bushes. This one is ideal, compact enough to get into those awkward corners, but not short on power. A goo addition to my Ego tool box.

We bought this to add to our EGO collection. My wife is the main user and she has found the 51cm hedge trimmer light, really easy to use and it cuts really well. Really like the interlocks so very safe to use. Runs for quitea while on the 2.5ah battery. Very highly recommended.
This is the 4th Ego product I've added to my collection. This trimmer is not too heavy and does a great job on different sorts of plants. Doesn't drain the battery either. Love so my Ego tools.
Amazing battery life, will save an absolute heap on fuel costs. Motor is reasonably strong, but the bar does get jammed on moderate sized green branches at times. Lighter than my petrol Husqvarna and should be a lot less running costs over all if the tool holds up….
Only used once but really pleased with the hedge trimmer. Easily cut our laurel hedge and was so much lighter than our previous trimmers so much easier to use. The run time is really long. So another excellent Ego product.
Excellent purchase from EGO Garden Tools, easy and lite to operate .Cuts through heavy branches with no hesitation and the finished job excellent 10/10.
It's light ,powerful ,and gets through a lot of work . Makes cutting the hedge easy ,not like putting it off till the last minute. Genuinely it's a good investment .
It’s probably too soon to review these products as I only have them for a month. Firstly I charged the battery, I was impressed with how quickly the charger loaded the battery, less impressive was the humming sound that came out of the charger when in operation. When the battery was fully charged, I was very impressed with the amount work I could get done on one charge, I got tired before it did. Regarding the trimmer itself, I have used a petrol trimmer for over 35 years with approx 100 yards of hedging to maintain. When compared to my previous machines the EGO trimmer compares quite favourably. Surprisingly it is of a similar weight to my previous machines which can be attributed to the battery. But the real winner is you only have to press the button and your off, no more mixing fuel, priming and pulling the starter cord (several times).
