Superb! The EGO battery weedwacker's performance compares with the traditional gasoline model like days and nights. It not only does the core function well, it's very quiet. The most impressive part is the self-feed line change; truly innovative! No arm breaking pull start any more! EGO weedwacke is the best in it's class! I will buy other attachments to start my EGO's lawn care and other tools from ACME Tools! Thanks for making my lawn Care fun again!

Ordered on line missing the 50.00 shipping fee. Realized immediately and phoned to cancel. Waited on hold for 1 hour twice both times being reassured that item was cancelled. Had texted as well and asked if the shipping fee would be refunded. Text said yes, when I called re return waiting again for an hour was told shipping would not be refunded. Customer service was pleasant. Cumbersome process to get no where. Shipping was more than the cost of the line.

Haven't run out of the original string in the unit yet but so far it's definitely effective at it's one task.
The five stars are really for the trimmer itself, which I also purchased from Ace. It's the EGO folding carbon shaft model, and it has nice balance and plenty of power. Haven't tested its limits yet, though.
Built-in trimmer for snipping off the recommended 13' of replacement line whence replacement is due. No other tools needed, and you never have to open the package from day one if you're observant.
The one pictured is not the one I received. I must have gotten a newer version with a different line cutter (the new one is yellow). The old cutter was green as depicted in the product photo. That old line was great and what I thought I was getting. This new product breaks frequently on my EGO trimmer and I'm not happy about it. One of the bragging points about my EGO trimmer was how long the line lasted, as it should, between trips back to my shed to add new line. But since using this new line, the trips are very frequent because the line breaks inside the trimmer head and I need to pop out the whole head and reinstall the line about 4x an hour. Not like the old trimmer line at all... I could go weeks without needing to reinstall line & it never used to break ... MoreThe one pictured is not the one I received. I have only used the tool once for 30 minutes. It was easy to use. The variable speed trigger is a nice feature. Cutting was clean. 20% of the battery was used, but it charged rapidly. I did have an issue with the first trimmer that arrived by FEDEX. It was left by FEDEX in the middle of my driveway in 95 degree weather. A separate problem occurred when I began to assemble the trimmer. When I straightened the handle to anchor it with a bolt, the holes didn't line up. I took it to the south Reno Lowe's to exchange it. The Lowe's employee that helped me was super and fast. She had a new trimmer pulled off the shelf and brought to Customer Service for me. She then opened the box and made sure the handle bolt would work, which it did.
inncorrect line size in package.could not get line to power load. Called tech support they told me to purchase power head.new ah1520 came with trimmer line correct size line. old powerhead worked fine.did not need powerhead! EGO has problems.
bought this on a daily flash deal. Good price. will refill the trimmer more than ten times. has a cutter built in to the packaging so no need to carry a knife or blade to the shed anymore. this stuff cuts through brush like butter.
