Great blower (using the turbo setting) or for yards that just need a somewhat light to medium blow off weekly. My only issue is the extremely high price for a great blower that you can only use for 15min at a time. For the price it should come with another battery. I have owned this blower for about a year and it has performed just as designed. It does do everything that is advertised but on a truly usable setting for a yard with serious leaves it does not last long. My yard is 3 tenths of an acre and really only half of that needs to be blown off weekly but it will take two to three charges every time I need to do this (full charges take over an hour). You can use a lower setting to blow the leaves off and it will last longer up to 45 min for me but in that amount ... MoreGreat blower (using the turbo setting) or for yards that just need a somewhat light to medium blow off weekly. If you have serious leaves then be patient with this blower and change your routine to blow at a slower speed, take longer and still wait for a charge OR buy additional batteries at an overpriced cost (might as well buy another blower for how much you pay for another single 5.0 Ah battery) OR just stick with a large gas blower for a lower cost until EGO can really get the battery powered runtime even close to similar. I personally need a blower that will run an hour or slightly longer at full speed but every yard is different. Saying that, I am mostly happy with this blower for now and can make due with it's short comings. I like many others are wondering about longevity. Hopefully this blower and battery will last for 10 + years like my gas powered blowers in the past but I am only expecting about 5 years after reading nearly all the reviews.

Great blower and excellent replacement to my corded blower with a few exceptions.Pros*It’s cordless (of course)*Power is as good as (or possibly better) than corded blower*Good range of power settings*Battery life is decent if using a low-mid power speed* The turbo feature is awesome for a big burst of air to get leaves/debris out of tight locationsCons*The 5.0AH battery makes it pretty heavy after 10 mins of use which could be tough for elderly users, which is related to the next point below*The turbo trigger placement makes it almost impossible to hold from the center most part of the handle with an equal distribution of weight, which gets taxing on the arm if using the 5.0 AH battery*Turbo and/or the highest setting will kill the battery ... MoreGreat blower and excellent replacement to my corded blower with a few exceptions.Pros*It’s cordless (of course)*Power is as good as (or possibly better) than corded blower*Good range of power settings*Battery life is decent if using a low-mid power speed* The turbo feature is awesome for a big burst of air to get leaves/debris out of tight locationsCons*The 5.0AH battery makes it pretty heavy after 10 mins of use which could be tough for elderly users, which is related to the next point below*The turbo trigger placement makes it almost impossible to hold from the center most part of the handle with an equal distribution of weight, which gets taxing on the arm if using the 5.0 AH battery*Turbo and/or the highest setting will kill the battery quickOverall, I’m very pleased with the blower and having two batteries (5.0 and 2.5) has allowed me to use it nonstop while doing my yard since recharging only takes about 15 mins. I would highly recommend it to anyone that enjoys doing their own yard work and wants to get away from the cords, this thing packs a good punch once you get it all figured out. Even on the lowest setting it works surprisingly great for blowing off the sidewalk and driveway. So far so good on all of my EGO products, aside from the blower, I also have the mower and hedge trimmer, which I both love.

Would be nice if the strap were included as standard equipment.

Great blower! Fast charging and powerful for blowing piles of leaves. I could do my entire yard and still had battery power remaining. I did research on the price of a replacement battery before purchasing the Power+ 650 and see it’s expensive to replace. But the battery is under warranty for 3 years. This blower is heavy with the larger battery. I am a middle aged female who is strong from firefighting for 40 years. I would suggest getting a shoulder strap for longer use of the blower. My arms got tired quickly. After first use, I ordered a strap that same day. I hope to use it for blowing powdery snow this winter. My biggest concern is the battery and fire safety. I was happy that the battery stayed cool during charging and had safety features to keep from ... MoreGreat blower! Fast charging and powerful for blowing piles of leaves. Purchased this about a month ago and have used it several times for minor and major jobs. The power is very good, the battery lasts a long time, and the settings for different speeds using a dial is super helpful so I don't have to hold the button/grip constantly. The battery should last for a long time at low or medium settings, which are more than enough to clear concrete or short grass of most materials. The issue I have with this blower is that it is very front-heavy, even with the large battery in the back. When I have the adapter at the end of the tube, and I hold it normally, the end of the blower is pointing almost directly straight down at the ground. I am 5'9" so I'm not particularly tall, but I still have to be careful not to hit the ground with the end ... MorePurchased this about a month ago and have used it several times for minor and major jobs. I have found that to get a good angle on the blower, I need to hold the battery cage with the other hand. Doing this allows me to control the blower angle pretty well, and this system works well enough that I wouldn't consider returning it for something else.I've owned several other leaf blowers and never had this problem before - they all have been better balanced and didn't require two hands for control. The ample power, good options, speed dial, and other features make it very capable; the way the blower points down using a normal grip is unfortunate but acceptable.
No question this is a terrific product. It does everything as advertised. The battery life is impressive and did not take very long to fully recharge. My only issue with this product is my biggest issue with the product. The specs stated the weight is 4.8 pounds. Sorry, but that is total and complete BS. Just saying it like it is. What led me to buy this product was it was "supposedly" lighter than all alternatives and offered stronger power and longer battery life. When I read several reviews at The Home Depot site where folks said "so light my little daughter can use it" I was convinced. Well, my wife cannot use this blower and quite honestly she does most of the leaf blowing around here. She insisted I return the product but I did not. I have to say I was skeptical at first at what kind of power this dude has (650 cfm). Reading all the reviews, I decided to pull the trigger on this purchase when it went on sale and couldn't wait to use it. Let's just say, I'm a believer and how much this blower blew my socks off (unintended pun). Fall hit and leaves falling from my tree were 6" deep on my lawn and in the street... there were a lot of leaves. Charging didn't take long, and I was ready for battle. You can control how much power by the trigger and the turbo button can really add a little something extra. I also like the auto control function, but I didn't use that at all. No rocks blown out of the flower bed but maybe a couple...that was impressive My old corded blower couldn't accomplish this. In conclusion, I got the job done in little under an hour with consistent use, no cord getting hung up on bushes, plenty of power, and just under half the battery life remained. I've used this bloweron the grass trimmings from the mower, and 4 other times so far. 5 Stars...definitely. If my son doesn't wake up for school on time, I may just break out the blower to get the blankets off him.
The bad stuff first: it's expensive and the battery is heavy. But beyond that everything is okay. It's powerful and the turbo button ups the power noticeably, but there is a temptation to keep the button pushed, which drains the battery rapidly. On the other hand, the battery recharges quickly, more rapidly that some smaller batteries I have on other tools. It's a well-thought-out tool. The constant-speed knob is a nice touch -- like on a tractor -- dial in the speed and it stays that way. I bought the Ego brand because it uses 56-volt batteries. That doesn't necessarily mean higher power, but it has the capability for more. 4 amp-hr x 56 v = 224 watt-hr. Without leaning on the turbo switch that is enough energy for a lengthy run. As far as battery operated blowers, this one is fantastic. It blows like crazy. I love mine. As far as operating, wonderful. Here are a few suggestions. Buy the strap (make sure it is the right model strap) Wear it over the other shoulder and then under your arm across your body. I would not buy less than the 5.0ah battery. They do offer with a 2.5ah and a 4.0ah battery, but those definitely would not have lasted for me. I actually bought 2 blowers, because the sale they had, I got the second blower with the battery for less than what a second battery would cost. I use mine mainly to blow off an open air slab for a church and food pantry, and for a 1/4 mile worth of driveway. Having the 2nd blower also allows for someone to help me, so an added bonus. I have compared this to a Dewalt 60V blower that my dad has. His deal of the blower and chainsaw and 2 batteries was probably a better all around deal, but this blower definitely out blows his and I am very happy with my purchase. My next purchase with be the EGO 10,000 lumen work lamp, and I will eventually buy a chainsaw, but hoping and waiting for a sale on those. Love this blower!
I like this blower. In the past I have had a Stihl gas powered back pack blower that may have pumped a bit more air, but it was excessively noisy, sometimes reluctant to start, and clumsy by venture of its size and blow hose routing. I have also had a double battery Makita leaf blower that was not quite as powerful, always sucked at your shirt hem, and ran through battery power before the job was done. This eGo blower seems about right for my residential needs. I considered the 765 CFM blower because being American, there is the mindset that being bigger and more powerful is always better. For me, too much power meant forever dislodging golf ball and larger rocks out of the landscaping. For me, too much power meant forever dislodging golf ball and larger rocks out of the landscaping. I know there is always the variable speed trigger to reduce air flow, but the 765CFM unit has a higher minimum airflow meaning a greater chance that I am going to have to coral rock displaced when what I wanted was to move leaves. Another point of consideration often overlooked is this unit is approximately 2.5 pounds lighter than the 765 unit. With longer runtime and with the reactive forcefulness of these units, you'll appreciate less weight. Obviously, there are noticeable stresses that accumulate in your hand, wrist, arm and shoulder over longer term usage. All in all, this high quality, well designed blower is the best for my use.
