My wife bought me this multi tool equipment. The components are easily interchangeable and the connections are snug. Easy to lock in and release. But the best feature is the grunt - cuts through green wood as well as old timber with ease, now shortage of power. Cutting using the extension arm is easy, the hardware is well balanced and lightweight. Chainsaw feels like and performs like a full sized, petrol driven conventional chainsaw eg Husqvarna. The only comment I would make is you should get a spare battery as high workload means you might run out of power before a job is finished. Although after about 30 mins there is enough charge put back in the battery to finish most jobs.

Over the past few years have been slowly adding to my Ego collection. The Pole Saw attachment with the pole extension has already proven to be one of my better purchases. Keeping our woodland garden trimmed is now so much easier, and safer. In fact with the edger, hedge trimmer, bristle brush, blower and mower and now the pole saw gardening is a breeze. Totally recommend.

I understand the basics of how to use a chainsaw as I have had one for several years so misuse I don't think is an issue. I started off with light use and nothing over 50mm and mostly much less than that. After about 10 minutes continuous use the cast alloy head of the tool completely cracked in half while trimming an overhead limb of about 30-40mm. The chain oil reservoir had barely been touched. I immediately returned the attachment to the supplier (Total Tools) who were as surprised as me. They rang Ego straight away and a replacement was on its way. I am happy to say the 2nd unit has had a reasonably solid workout and has performed well so far. Limbs up to about 75mm have been trimmed easily and the battery was still going strong after about 1 hr on/off use. The extension pole was also used. I hope my experience was an aberration, bad luck or just a poor casting because I can see me getting a lot of use from this tool. Fingers crossed!

Ego are great products, this is the 4th i have. started with a weed eater, surprised at how well it goes on even longer grass. Then a hedge trimmer and extension, and now the pole trimmer. Handles my excess of titree really well. These are built for the home owner who wants good reliable stuff. The battery (I only have one and that's all I need) lasts as long as I need."Great the battery has run out, I needed a rest.") It only takes half an hour to recharge, time for a cuppa and back into it.
Have gone from a Honda powered Bauer multi tool to the Ego kit. the Ego kit was much more expensive to buy but 3 months into the Ego and the jobs I’ve done, the ease…the difference is night and day. I charge the battery off my solar so no further costs expect during the warranty period at least (other than whipper string and chain saw oil. It has been fantastic. Even had a battery issue with the one that came with the kit but logged a warranty request and had a replacement battery in a few days. The hedger blade is sharp, the extension is easy to set up and the chain saw has been great. Cut down a mature conifer in no time.
Had my polesaw and pole hedge clippers for over 3 weeks and had great success tackling the row of overgrown trees and shrubs on the bank above our boundary. By the time I have finished I should have recouped what I paid for them by doing the work myself. They have excellent reach which is important for me, are not too heavy and are capable of doing hard, grunty work I need them to. The the battery lasts longer than I want to work at one time, and is quick to charge. My only concern is that the plastic guard on the pole saw caught on a small branch as I was cutting a larger branch dragging it against the blade and cutting it. This is the only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars.
Such a powerful, well engineered machine. Very impressed with its cutting ability, the adjustability of the hedge trimmer hedge and reach with the extension pole. It earns 5 star because of that. It is really quite heavy, which is a smaller negative, but it's still good enough for 5 star. 30 mins heavy hedge trimming and I was sweating, but I only used 20% of its 5.0Ah 54v battery. This thing is awesome.
It has been a while since I bought some new garden equipment and so I like to complete some research on what's available and what works well. I had borrowed the neighbour's similar tool, a lower end and cost brand and while it did the job I knew I needed a bit more power and a more robust unit. The EGO equipment looked better on paper for power and robustness and the reviews consistently rated it well. I purchased the multi tool with power saw and hedge trimmer including extension pole. This is the first battery powered equipment like this I have purchased and I was am impressed with both power and robustness of design. Very happy with purchase and now I know what I want for Christmas, more attachments from the EGO range.

I was really just after a pole saw at first, something that would only be used once or twice a year. Petrol engines are a nightmare unless you use them all the time. Fuel keeps going off in the carby etc. I quickly found that this gear is much better quality than I first though and can actually see it replacing some of my petrol tools. Far better than other battery operated tools I’ve used and then thrown out. This is not a toy, I’d rate them as commercial grade. The 5ah battery lasted longer than I could wielding it around with the hedge trimmer attachment. Definitely recommend the harness as it gets heavy after a short time if you need to ... I bought this combo recently along with the mower and blower combo and all I would need to say is you will never use petrol equipment again.I mowed, line trimmed and blew down the entire house and paths on a single 5.0AH battery.Line trimmer has plenty of power and feels really comfortable to use. I'm keen to chuck on the Hedger and see how it handles.Everything is light enough to move around easily but at the same time feels really well made and strong.As I've only used a few times I'm keen go see how the machines hold up over time but on first impressions I am so happy with my purchase.No mixing fuel. No oil. Just charge and go. Lawn/garden care has never been so easy
