This product is a good substitution if you want to avoid the steriod, it works for my son’s eczema, I apply it on his face whenever it flares up and it goes down quickly. The cream has a strong herbal kind of smell some people may not like it.

Works well to soothe very mild eczema. Does have a strong odor.

This is the only over the counter cream that helped me treat my perioral dermatitis.The smell is very strong - it smells like petrol / tar... but I did get used to it after anout a week or so.
Am a mozzie magnet and react badly. This helps the most.
Bought this to use before using EgoPsoryl for my eczema and psoriasis. Tube only lasted me three days using it a few times daily on my face and arms but there was noticeable improvement over the three days. As soon as I put it on it helped smooth over the scales, and within 5-10 minutes the redness and itchiness subsided somewhat. I put before and after photos together and the difference is pretty great. On it's own not sure it would deter it for very long after running out, it was more helpful for the then and now, but am using the EgoPsoryl now so hopefully that really helps get rid of it.And as a note on the smell, I don't think it's as bad as other reviews say, it's kind of an earthy, chemically smell that goes away shortly. Boyfriend compared it to playdough.
Best product I have found for the relief of dermititis on my hands and anything that dries my skin out. Definitely worth the purchase!
I only put on once every other day not 3 times per day. Works like magic to clear up red face rash. . Brilliant brilliant stuff . A++++++
