I've been using a separate pump and reservoir for quite a number of years as I have seen via reviews these combi units tricky to isolate to prevent vibration / humming noises.It was was more forgiving and easier to install than it looks but still took me a while to decide the best mounting spot.It's sooo quiet and even at 50% speed it's just as capable as my previous pump, the Phobya DC12-400.The only annoying things are even the smallest air bubble in the pump can make quite a racket until it settles down after 5-10 mins and this can happen repeatedly until the loop is free of trapped air. Also im not sure when this started but EK no longer provide instructions with it's products, you'll need to grab them from their website.
