Coffee is grown on the El Gobiado Estate at 1,300 metres above sea level. The Estate covers 19 manzanas (approx 12 hectares) and is planted with the Bourbon and Pacas varietals, which are grown under the shade of Inga trees, helping to reduce light intensity as well as retaining soil moisture.
