This Reposado Tequila is made from 100% Blue Weber Agave sourced from the mineral-rich Jalisco Highlands, ensuring a rich and authentic flavor. It is aged longer than the legal minimum, usually 9–11 months, and matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels, which adds subtle notes of vanilla and oak. The cooked agave is carefully crushed using a traditional two-ton Tahona stone wheel, a method that preserves the natural character of the agave. It is then double distilled in copper pot stills and bottled at 40% alcohol (80 proof) in a standard 750 mL bottle with no additives, keeping the taste pure and natural. This tequila has a light straw to golden color and delights the senses with flavors of smoky oak, cooked agave, vanilla, and hints of fruit, citrus, or dill. The palate enjoys a smooth blend of agave and oak, balanced with notes of caramel, smoke, and pepper. The finish is warming and smooth, leaving lingering hints of oak and spice. Produced at La Alteña Distillery (NOM 1139) in Arandas, Jalisco, it is crafted by the Camarena family, led by Master Distiller Carlos C. Camarena. This tequila is perfect for sipping neat, enjoying on the rocks, or mixing into premium cocktails like a Tequila Old Fashioned.

The whole El Tesoro line is awesome, and you can't be the quality for the price. The reposado tastes great as a sipper with a little ice, and works well in a margarite or white old fashioned if you want a bit more flavor then the anejo.

I've tried a lot of tequila over the years, but El Tesoro is the best in my opinion. Tequila is not being shot; rather, it is being sipped. A nice cigar (Padron) goes really well with the reposado. #1 El Tesoro.

I’ve been on my journey with tequila for about a year now. I’ve learned that tequila gets a bad rap. This tequila so far is my favorite. It’s smooth and easy to drink. Great for sitting back and relaxing.

I am not a big tequila drinker but my friends love tequila. So, I was looking for a good tequila for my birthday that I could drink, as well, and was recommended this one by one of the associates. I have been hooked ever since. This one is smooth, doesn’t have an after taste, and doesn’t leave me with a pounding headache in the morning.
I was hoping for more. This is a very simple Agave forward tequila that presents nothing remarkable and is easily forgettable. Very little flavor picked up from the barrel. The only use at our house will be to educate novices that have an interest in learning about tequila....And now, this is what roasted fomented agave tastes like:-).
When I first tried this tequila a year or more ago it was excellent -- one of the best ever. My two recent purchases however have been terrible. Silver and Repo both taste overly smoky and much harsher than a bad mezcal. I enjoy agave forward tequila. But this is borderline garbage now. I don't know what they did. But something has changed. What was one of the best tequilas out there is now one of the worst. $120 down the drain as far as I'm concerned.
It was one of the nicest tequilas I've ever had when I had it for the first time around a year ago. However, my last two purchases were bad. Both Silver and Repo have an extremely smokey, sharper flavor than a subpar mezcal. I like tequila that is agave forward. But right now, this is practically junk. I had no idea what they did. However, something has altered. What once was among the best tequilas available is now among the worst. I feel like that was a waste of $84
I haven't tried it, but I'm giving it three stars simply to see if it bears the authenticity seals that the Mexican government attaches to all tequila produced in Jalisco before I spend money on it. Additionally, I'd like to know that because I've never seen this brand in Mexico.
A wonderful blend of agave taste and a smooth barrel finish. Definitely my favorite. I served it at my wedding in a margarita, and the cocktail received more accolades than anything else!
After having tried Mi Familia extra anejoDon Julio 70th anniversaryAvion, Patron, Herra, etc., I can say that this has lived up to its strong recommendation. Smooth, buttery, delicious, no burn. One of the best. Will be buying this again, and again, and again….. you get the point
