A riveting reading of Eleanor Roosevelt's life.

This is the biography that Eleanor Roosevelt deserved. Well-researched but presented in a highly readable fashion rather than becoming too textbook-ish.Through her own work projects, she eventually became her husband's legs. Because of her, we were never aware of FDR's physical disabilities. As a First Lady, none will ever surpass her. Her love for our country was evident in everything she said and did. This book is a must-read!

I am thoroughly enjoying this. A lot of details about her that I was unaware of. Hard to put down. Highly recommended to anyone who is interested in historical persons.
I couldn't put it down. Although I thought I knew quite a lot about her I was stunned by the amount of information it contains. From a desperately unhappy childhood and a frustrating marriage she forged her own life, working tirelessly to "make things better for others" and receiving respect for her honesty and strength. We could use her wisdom today!
The book is well written, and carefully researched. One ends up with a great more information about the subject and her growth as a person.

Great biography. There was much I did not know about Eleanor Roosevelt. She was a trailblazer
The author does an in depth offering to the life and history of her family and the history of the role of the First Lady. Women owe much to Eleanor Roosevelt. The book is long, but worth the read.
so far this seems to be a great biography. I like that it covers her life from beginning to end. I also like how the author covered it.
