Normal visible letters.Material quality: very well done. It could use some rubber to keep it better held but I can still hold it well, unlike bigger ones.But, the guards feel cheap. I take care of them so in 2 months, no issues yet, but I can see how rougher men that lack patience and dexterity would break them. They should be more solidly built to avoid that, simple! The price allows for higher quality guards.I've washed it each time after using it, no issues so far. Works great.Battery life is long, like all other Philips trimmers. Multigroom last longer but this is long enough.

My previous Philips trimmer had a simple beard trimmer that was adjustable or could be removed. But the battery died - which is why I chose this one, it contains 3 different beard trimmer heads, but is still adjustable within each head range. Sounds great.However, these trimmer heads now all feature guide fingers ahead of the cutting head and the usual trailing fingers after the head.These leading fingers are the source of my confusion & dissatisfaction with the product in that they seem to push my beard hair out of the way, so that it doesn't get cut by the trimmer, and, and hair that does get cut get trapped inside the trimmer attachment between the leading and trailing fingers. Out the box I like the look and feel of this trimmer. Nice selection of attachments and solid feel in the hand. Does a great job with trimming my beard to the same length. No missed hairs sticking out like cat whiskers... Excellent battery life and normal buzz sound of many a trimmer.Only issue I have is the trimmer does not get the very top of my mustache because of the guard. Not a deal breaker just not 100% happy.

Upgraded from an ols Phillips Beard Trimmer that lasted a good 5years. This trimmer performs equally as good as previous, and does a great job. Like the many settings available for stubble length, and like the fact don't have to swap over combs. One minor difference to older trimmer is the comb on new trimmer is further away from the cutting blades so a bit trickier to trim around nose area, would of preferred the comb closer to blades. Fantastic product and highly recommend

Though the small number of attachments would seem to limit versatility, as a bearded guy with a short hairstyle I'm very happy with what these clippers let me do for periodic maintenance (beard-shaping, sideburns trimming with the guides) and regular grooming (taking care of ear hair and nosehair with the narrow clipper attachment). I have been using this trimmer for few weeks now, and I can give my honest opinion about this product. I used it first time with a bit longer hair and then kępy using it on a lowest setting which is 0.2mm. In both situations I got nice even trim. I stopped shaving at all because every time I got really bad razor burns and this really helped to keep my face looking sharp. I really like long battery life. It charges very quickly and you don't have to worry about it for a week or so. Also really easy to clean, because it is waterproof you just rinse it under the water. I also used it once to cut my sons hair. He got a bit scared with the sound first but it did a good job overall.
I purchased this trimmer because my old trimmer was also a Norelco (Philips) trimmer. It was a vacuum trimmer. After 10+ years, the battery gave out. I liked the vacuum feature but there were few offered when I made this purchase. Also, they were out of my price range. So far this trimmer has been great. Lots of battery life and it does a great trimming job. I particularly like the various trimming height feature. Perfect for what I am looking for.
For some reason this trimmer has a large push-button on/off switch, rather than a sliding switch. This means when it's packed in a travel bag it can easily be switched on by itself, cutting through anything it's packed next to! The unnecessarily complex "beard lifter" is very easily broken, and means it's not possible to trim close to edges, such as around the nostrils. The unit is also about 1/3 larger than most trimmers - the size is more like a head shaver. On the plus side the battery life is good.
