Electro-Voice ELX200-12SP 12in Powered Pa Subwoofer

These subs are incredible! I normally think that bigger is better and i had my eye on a number of 15's. After reading the specs on these, i decided to try them out. They match perfectly with my EV 12 tops and offer superb bottom to my system that can be heard a couple blocks away. The sound is clean and punchy without even turning past half. I definitely recommend adding these to your setup to take the w work off your full range speakers!

I bought 2 because I was tired of lugging around my JBL 18s. Was nervous about the size but have been very happy so far. The larger JBLs still win for low end clarity, but these add so much bottom to my full range 12s I really can’t complain.I couldn’t find a review from a live band perspective only DJs, but don’t be shy love guys and girls. These little 12s move air and perform really nicely. The Bluetooth feature is nice to bump the volume up or down too.AMS, amazing as always, fast, easy pay, secure!

All the sub most small bands will ever need.

FINALLY! A sub that doesn't feel like you're moving a piano! SIZE DOES MATTER! I bought two because at Sam Ash the price was right. But these things are easy to carry and pack in the back of a pickup and still have room for a couple of QSC K-12's for mains and two QSC K-10's for floor monitors. Yes! I really wanted a QSC 112 sub. But the size of these EV's and once again the $$$ convinced me to give 'em a try. I know what you're thinking, but what do they sound like? Well let's just say that paired with those QSC K-12's mounted on a sub-pole, my little country band swings better than ever with plenty of bottom end bass. Will I ever go back to my coveted QSC sub? Not unless I win the lottery! These ELX200SP12's are all I'll ever need!

Bought this for my mobile gigs and i must say im very impressed. has a wade range for volume and multiple settings built in to get the exact sound quality you're looking for. i use this at a tailgate event and you can hear it from really far

EV ELX200 12sp Powered Sub

Overall:I use two EV Elx200 12 sp under my two EV EKX 15's P and was amazed at the bottom end thump, I am getting from this light weight Sub....my sound is like a three way system. I do have two more EV EKX's 15's P and will get two more EV Elx200 to match with them....for out door smaller gigs....very impressed. My back thanks EV Mick V. My EV cabs are so efficient haven't had to contact manufacture support.. .. Be nice if the Elx220 p's were a little cheaper...

Overall:I had a really bad accident which left me unable to carry big subs. I mostly do weddings and really wanted some dance floor thump. I tried 2 Behringer B1200Ds. They filled out some bottom but the clip light was constantly on, and the bass was missing punch. I considered the EV ZXA1 12 inch sub, but I found them pricey for being a pretty old model speaker. When the ELX 200 series came out, I took a chance and spent a pretty penny for one 12 inch sub. As soon as I hooked it up in my house to my EV EKX 12s Pictures started falling off the walls. This sub simply kicks butt for a 12. Glad I bought it !

I currently use 2 ELX 15P's for my rig, but felt I needed a sub to round out the sound with some nice bass. I was on the fence between the 12's and the 15's. For size/wight and price I went for the 12. I am so glad I did. The bass is tight and punchy-perfect for the music I play-mostly Latin-some dance/disco/classic R&B.The difference it makes adding the sub is like night and day. I've always used subs in the past ( unpowered 18's) -but since I downsized-I have been missing that crucial component. I picked up the sub at my local GC and ran to a gig and unboxed it at the gig. It was a jiffy to set up and sync with the EV tops with the bluetooth app. It was a corporate banquet type of affair with 250 people in attendance at a hotel ballroom. I think people who DJ weddings and dance type of events should consider the 12, since it focuses the sound on the dance floor not way out to the back of the room like a 15 or 18 would do. 2 side by side would be the ultimate for a larger crowd/space. If the job calls for it-that may be my next move.

Overall:This sub is crazy amazing. It really packs a punch. I was skeptical at first, especially for the size of this sub overall. It will literally fit underneath your dj table if needed be. I have JBL 18's for large venues, but needed something compact for smaller events and not disappointed at all. This EV sub is light and easy to handle. The features are nice, and can control the settings via app and your handheld device with ease. Got just one to try it out, but definitely buying one more to have the pair. So far I've done 3 gigs with it and bass is perfect it hits. Buy it, trust me.

Speaker went out after only 6 months

I purchased this Sub back in November 2019, and it went out during a live show only 6 months later. Was not able to find any customer support numbers for EV online and the one I received from GC was for a security alarm company. Took my sub to a local repair place in Dallas and found out I had a 3 year warranty through EV (which was great news). They found that the speaker had gone out and sent off to EV for a replacement only to find that they were on back order and have no idea when to expect it in. I would love to call EV to see about options but no numbers work. Very dissatisfied with EV and their customer support which is non existent. Superb piece of kit

I needed one sub to relieve the pressure on my two mackie tops but couldn't find the matching mackie sub at the right price. I also needed something light weight that was easy to get in and out of gigs. When I saw this EV ELX200-12SP for sale at PMT at £150 cheaper than anywhere else I snapped it up. It turned out to be exactly what I needed. Perfect for the job. I've had EVs in the past and they've never let me down. I'm now thinking about getting rid of the Mackies and getting two more EV tops. This really is a superb piece of kit and the price was even better. Add to that free next day delivery and it's a no-brainer
