I have finally found a product that literally thought of everything. I can use my microphone, plug my keyboard in, play music. Built in fx, and it's is light and I bought two, so they paired easily. The mobile app is easy and the sound is phenomenal. I love the Everse. I have waited along time for such a remarkable piece of hardware.

I got reccomended this speaker from Andy and I couldn’t be happier Amazing sound and clarity and volume aswell I am an acoustic vocalist performer and this is a great addition to my gear. It is perfect as a stand alone unit for busking, small venues or outdoor drinks receptions of even just to have an amazing speaker to play music for a house/garden party I can also double it as a monitor and works perfectly with my Evolve 50m and 50 The full 7 band eq is a massive plus with this unit and full control on the app for each channel along with 30 built in effects. If you are thinking about getting this well don’t think just do it! You will not be dissapointed Well done EV

I first used the Everse 8 on a solo acoustic gig. Small pub environment with about 60-70 people. I've used the Bose S1 Pro in this situation but there wasn't enough headroom so I thought I should probably bring one of my larger more powerful speakers just in case, but I didn't. Not only was the Everse 8 loud enough to adequately cover the room and cut thru the noise but the tonal quality of my voice and Martin guitar was excellent! Add in the convenience factor of not needing an external mixer or power cable and this one is hard to beat. Next day I had an outdoor gig with a full band. They only have 2 stage monitors for the 2 lead vocalists so it's always difficult singing harmonies with them as I can't really hear myself. Worked like a charm, I could clearly hear myself and was able to add harmonies effortlessly. Normally with a device in this price range I don't like the built-in effects but these sound really good and are totally usable. I should add that I did these two gigs on a single charge! So don't think twice about the Everse 8, it's alright - BUY IT!

Glad I bought it - got two, sound is good but lacks features when using more than one
20 December 2022

I bought 2 and I used my vocal mic and my Crumar organ synth which has 2 outs for stereo. The sound is nice but I was somewhat disappointed with the features that go with the app. Hopefully the EV will do an update soon. The "link audio" does not link one mic input to both speakers but they indicate in the instructions the app will connect 6 speakers --but again - this needs to be user friendly so it's disappointing at this time. So this means when I use a vocal mic into 1 speaker, the vocal sound doesn't connect to the 2nd speaker, so again just like with my organ, I had to run separate inputs to each speaker. So, what is "link audio" for? There's no description and the site does not have a user forum. When using iPhone bluetooth for channel 3/4 stereo connect, it doesn't always link up easily either, and the instructions are again not chelpful for when it doesn't work -I use "link speaker" but it's a pain because it has to be done from the back of the speaker before the app is on and it takes time and doesn't always work. I'm happy with the battery , one of reasons to purchase was to get power cords off the floor and setup my organ speakers in nice stereo- but let's get it together, I spent $ for 2 and no updates, no forum, wondering if they will issue a new model with better features when they should really work on this one because it could be better now if they do it right. It does get loud and the clarity is really great.

Next Generation PA Speaker
3 December 2022

I traded in a Bose S1Pro and took this home without auditioning it. At first I just hooked up my cell phone by Bluetooth and listened to tracks from various genres on Spotify. I was kind of dismayed at what I felt was lack of high fidelity sound. I was even considering returning it! Then I thought, hey, EV would surely not make an inferior audio product! So I learned about the various EQ settings, realized I had chosen a flat and lifeless EQ curve and corrected it, and tried again. The speaker provides numerous presets to suit one's needs. The EQ settings on the vocal line 1 can be set differently than the background music. What a difference! Superb sound. But the best part was yet to come. The EQ settings on the vocal line 1 can be set differently than the background music. What a difference! Superb sound. But the best part was yet to come. The S1Pro, and even my JBL Eon One, have inadequate microphone preamps with poor volume. Not the Everse8; not only the volume is far superior, but the clarity is excellent as well. I don't play guitar so I can't talk about guitar sound. But vocals and background tracks for karaoke/cover singing is just superb. I just sing karaoke at home and during gatherings with friends, but am very fussy about high quality sound. I listened to a friend sing from about 40 feet away, and the sound was so clear with excellent volume. And oh, I almost forgot: the QuickSmart app (both my phone and tablet are Android devices) is superb, giving great control over much of the features. It uses Bluetooth independently from Bluetooth Audio. Comparing sound quality from a 3.5 mm cable and Bluetooth, I found it hard to tell the difference. But with a group of friends, it is far more convenient to use the 3.5 mm audio in rather than Bluetooth. The Everse8 is exactly what the audio doctor ordered! Congratulations, EV on your first battery powered speaker; it is outstanding!

Sell your acoustic combo amp!!!
19 November 2022

I've been looking forward to checking these out. I was instantly impressed. I don't have any experience with other types of battery powered combo speaker except for the S1 pro. Hands down, this speaker is in a class of its own. Vocals and guitar sound exceptional. The app is awesome! Excellent investment.

Superb Sound
7 February 2023

I am far from an expert in PA speakers. I went looking for speakers to use outdoors with little additional equipment so I could listed to bluetooth music from my phone with a group of friends. Due to weather, we haven't yet gotten together at an outdoor event, but others have brought similar speakers (thump 15) to events I've attended and they sounded great. They had to be powered by a portable generator to use. I was looking for something in stereo and battery powered. Other brands had poor reviews and lack of bass projection. I've set these up in the house and they just plain rock. Loud enough to hear from inside 2 houses down the street. Inside, they were ear piercing, so I figure they will be fine outside. I have my Iphone connected BT and the speakers connected to each other BT on smaller stands. The Everse APP allows me to make all the needed adjustments to the balance, volume, and the very basic EQ adjustments (low-mid-hi). I'm sure there would be more bass in a larger speaker like the 12" or 15" version, but much more limiting with having to bring power to my location. These work amazingly, wirelessly and no electric power required. I don't know yet how many hours the batteries really last, but will put them to the test this summer. I do take a small portable generator with me to most locations, but not large enough to supply the larger powered speakers and some locations have restrictions against generators and the noise that comes with using them. Looking forward to testing very soon! I would recommend these to anyone looking for portability and wireless operation. If you are looking for booming bass, this is not it. It's good quality, clear, loud solid sound. I'm pretty sure it would be perfect for a very small DJ venue, but might need a sub to go with it. A vocalist would love these! I'm going to connect my guitar and check that too, but sure it will be amazing also. I'd recommend them to anyone, very please with my purchas

Very great sounding portable speaker. I purchased one without hearing it, but once tested, I was very impressed by the overall sound and features this little bad boy EV Everse 8. I can't wait to get the second one so that I can have the pair. Great job EV and thank you to idjnow for such a quick and smooth transaction.

Very Portable, Lightweight & Sounds Good -- I like it!
12 January 2023

This is a very nice portable battery powered speaker that handles many of my gigging requirements. It is surprisingly light for how solid it feels. It has plenty loud for anything I will be using it for and the sound is nice and clear with plenty of controls for adjusting the sound. Right out of the box the sound is pretty generic for a powered speaker but it can be adjusted to sound really good. Overall I would recommend it. Something I wish it had: There is no way to hard wire a link to another EV Everse 8 speaker that would allow using the mixers in both speakers to be combined and used simultaneously to effectively double the inputs. You can use Mix Out from one of the speakers to send a signal to the other speaker but you are unable to use both mixers.
