We purchased this dryer along with the matching front loader washing machine. We have no complaints about the washing machine but I would buy a new dryer if I could afford to. Without exception, no mater what setting we use the clothes are never dry. It is necessary to put the clothes through two cycles to get the clothes dry enough to be able to put them away. If only one cycle is used the clothes are not left just damp but actually wet. There is no way clothes could be put away as wet as they come out as they would smell musty and probably grow mold. I would never recommend this product.

Had this appliance for a few weeks. It replaced a 3 years old Electrolux dryer which started to exhibit problems, causing it to ultimately require installation of a new motherboard! Fortunately, it was still covered by an Electrolux extended warranty. Given continuing small problems, we decided to get rid of it and buy a new dryer. In assessing the variety of dryers on the market, the Electrolux still seemed best suited to our needs, given the desired features. This (new) appliance has performed satisfactorily to date. (We did purchase its extended warranty again, just in case!)

I have had my Electrolux dryer for a few weeks now and in my opinion it performs very well. It replaced a 4 yr old condenser dryer from another brand that has now died. It’s important to read the instructions and set the dryness level per the water hardness in your area. It does not roll sheets into a ball which is fantastic compared to my old dryer which did not reverse tumble. I have even dried jumpers in it and they came out perfect. Drying times are reasonable. The only thing I would change is adding a light for the drum

Very happy with this dryer which we Have had for 4 weeks and only use for towels and bed linen. As indicated in all reviews the condenser dryer does not make items bone dry like regular dryers but it is fine. We just use the extra dry setting. You have to empty the water reserve after every load. It’s amazing how much it fills from one load of towels. Also be sure to clean the lint filter, as instructions indicate. The dryer is not too noisy either. The main thing about these dryers is that the laundry is not filled with condensation any more, so it is much better for wall paint and no lint and dust released into the room.
Hate it. It may be OK to dry a wet load straight from the washing machine but to do that final dry of damp clothes from the clothes line is ridiculous. Why can't it just have a setting which let's you actually 'Dry' items for say 15 minutes. Never, ever, recommend.
The dryer arrived on-time accompanied by 2 very helpful delivery people.Appliances Online always impress me with their huge range of products, and ability to deliver the next day. This 8kg Electrolux Condenser Dryer was a replacement for the 7kg model that stopped reliably drying the clothes.Highly recommended :-)
I purchased this with the 7.5kg washer and it is amazing! Chose it based on the relatively good reviews for a cheap price and i'm so happy I did. So far I can't fault this machine, i've had great success, still working out the settings and which ones best suit me but its great! As with the washer I would have liked a black machine or a modern silver etc but I couldn't look past the price, as well I wanted it to match the washing machine haha.A lot of the reviews that were negative, I figured were from people who aren't really sure how to adjust the settings properly, haven't read the manual or have no idea how a dryer works haha and a lot of those reviews I knew wouldn't be an issue for me as I've watched my mum have the same issues and work out how to fix them ... MoreI purchased this with the 7.5kg washer and it is amazing! I don’t have a problem with Appliances Online as the delivery service was prompt (even though 6.45am was not appreciated) but Will buy from these guys again as great pricing! The new Electrolux Condenser Dryer does not compare with my older condenser unit I had to replace. The unit struggles to dry clothes that have been 90% air dried which takes close to an hour when it should only take 5-10mins on the old machine. I’ve changed the water hardness Lvl to 0 but makes no difference. Absolutely hate the cool feel of clothes of the new tech for cold drying. The machine also stops a few times when drying clothes straight out of washing machine.Had the technician from Electrolux out here but makes no difference to machine as that’s just the way these new ones are made. ... MoreI don’t have a problem with Appliances Online as the delivery service was prompt (even though 6.45am was not appreciated) but Will buy from these guys again as great pricing! The new Electrolux Condenser Dryer does not compare with my older condenser unit I had to replace. Hopelessly slow at drying (already dried) clothes. Bring back the older analogue machines that just heat dry!I also bought a Heat Pump dryer (another store) for my folks last year. Don’t get me started on that one! Rubbish machines
First impressions it had lots of options to dry, cottons, synthetic, mixed and economy. But it doesn’t matter what setting you put it on it doesn’t dry your clothes. I spent one evening having to restart it every 5 minutes. My husband tried to problem sort it and the only thing that worked was to take all the wet washing out reset the machine and start again! Definitely not an easy and economical machine. I’d love follow up from Appliance direct and get this machine changed for a different brand.
Bought this one to replace an Electrolux condenser dryer that lasted about 8 years. This EDC804BEWA model is bigger.Don't worry about any reviews which say it doesn't dry, or takes ages. There is so much customisation with this model, so those people probably didn't take the time to figure it out.For example, you MUST change the water setting (you only do this once when you get it - after testing your water). I would imagine most water in Australia is SOFT, so the underlying water setting needs changing from Hard to Soft, or it just won't work well. For normal usage, you can just turn the dial to a program and go (I use on the mixed program and extra dry setting mostly, but also use the bedding program to avoid tangled sheets). There are also other programs and ... MoreBought this one to replace an Electrolux condenser dryer that lasted about 8 years. This EDC804BEWA model is bigger.Don't worry about any reviews which say it doesn't dry, or takes ages. Life's too short to be worried about every setting and program.A normal load takes about 1.5 hours for us. Towels are fluffy, I even dry my linen clothes now - which I feel come out not even needing too much of an iron.I haven't quite worked out how to just set a time dry only, but no need to fuss, the programs are all there. If you say it doesn't dry, then pay attention to the lit symbols - there is one that is on when drying with heat, and you can easily change the heat level.I don't think this is the most eco-friendly, but in apartment living you have to balance things. It really does not release moisture into the air, which is great in a small space.Other things you can customise are the door position (rotates L/R and Top/Bottom) and installing the drain kit tubes (rather than emptying the water tank). Also, I don't love the filter catchment unit, but that's about it.Overall happy with purchase and the price. Always excellent service from Appliances Online. Cheers.
