We are so pleased with this oven. It was super easy for the electrician to install and it works beautifully. My husband is a baker so we needed something that would operate to his standards (very high) and it does. The steam is really easy to use and makes for excellent baking and roasted vegetables and everything cooks so accurately with all the pre-setting options. This was worth every cent and we got the best deal at the time with Harvey Norman.

WOW! This is so to easy to use, just go,left to right. I love the steam function, you can use this in conjunction with other options as well, amd I’ve never had my meat/chicken so tender, it doesn’t dry out! I’ve use the baking with the steam option and the muffins and mini quiches came out so fluffy. The telescopic runners that you can place where is best fir you is also an added bonus as you need it to work best for you. Make sure you have a bowl or large measuring cup when you use the tube to take out the excess water because as soon As you place the tube on, the water flow will surprise you hahaahThe only thing that was annoying was the fact I had to go t9 the Electrolux website and print out the instructions on the best way to use the oven, there was no ... MoreWOW! Honestly don’t look at anything else (I researched for months and went to stores to ask question asm demonstrations) this is the best oven pit tr with all the options you could imagine.

We purchased this oven just under a month ago, originally we were going to get the model below (616DSD) but they were out of stock and we got a great price on this model instead.I didn't think the steam function was going to be that useful, and boy was I wrong, It's brilliant - we use it mainly for bread baking and roasts. The oven is super easy to use thanks to it's graphical display, and easy to use control system, it heats up quickly and the temperature display will show you not only your preset temperature, but also the current temperature - very handy to keep on eye on when it's nearly ready to go.Another thing I thought would be a gimmick is the food probe, but that combined with the steam function have been the 2 most used features of this oven - I ... MoreWe purchased this oven just under a month ago, originally we were going to get the model below (616DSD) but they were out of stock and we got a great price on this model instead.I didn't think the steam function was going to be that useful, and boy was I wrong, It's brilliant - we use it mainly for bread baking and roasts. The oven is super easy to use thanks to it's graphical display, and easy to use control system, it heats up quickly and the temperature display will show you not only your preset temperature, but also the current temperature - very handy to keep on eye on when it's nearly ready to go.Another thing I thought would be a gimmick is the food probe, but that combined with the steam function have been the 2 most used features of this oven - I really like the fact that it will show the current internal temperature while you are cooking and that it will calculate the cook time as well, which has made prep time a lot easier for other items that need to go in during the cycle. One of the main drawcards for this oven was the telescopic rails, which are good, but I have found hard to keep clean, the other for us was the Pyrolytic function which I have only used twice, but both times it has worked well, although you do need to remove all the racks for this so they still have to be scrubbed. All in all, it's a great, easy to use oven that cooks consistently and evenly, with the bonus of looking stunning in our kitchen with the matching fridge we purchased at the same time.

I have had the oven for only two weeks. I used the steam function for baking sourdough seeded bread: the loaf had a superb even crust which I wasn't able to achieve in my old oven. I've used the Fan-forced function for baking frittatas and roasting vegetables: they baked evenly. I love the Keep Warm function for warming plates: 70 degrees is the perfect temperature. The telescopic arms for the racks slide easily to check progress and remove dishes and trays.
As you know the oven has a bunch of features that other ovens don't have (like pyrolytic AND steam, sliding rails and a bunch of drip trays etc (note: those need to be removed during pyrolytic cleaning), at an absolutely bargain price, great look, and matching their cooktops too!But now that I own it the front display is really fantastic beyond belief. Showing you the temperature of the oven as it heats up, gets to your desired temperature, and even the cooldown time when you've turned if off.The fan is quieter than our old oven. It also has startup / delay / cooking timers, and then a general kitchen timer (e.g. not related to any oven functions). So it's extremely useful and well thought out!Our unit came hardwired with a plug (the kind with a longer Earth pin). The only surprise was that the front fascia, which isn't included in the measurements, was about 3mm too but at the top, and 5mm or so shorter at the bottom, than our previous oven (non-Electrolux but with the same cabinet dimensions). Thankfully we were able to fit it in with a little shaving of the cabinet wood.
I love how easy it is to operate this oven and all the options.Thankfully the installers warned me that it takes a while to adjust cooking times. I am still working through this. Foods take longer to cook and I need to use higher temps than recommended.I would have loved a cook book with suggested settings and cooking times.Unfortunately I cannot use the pyrolytic clean function because I do not have enough ventilation around the oven. The retailer should have mentioned this.
We bought this about ago and have been stuffing our faces with food from this amazing unit non stop..!My favourite feature is the Steam Function especially when cooking a big fat roast Pork or Lamb.. the outside is cooked to perfection and the inside just melts in your mouth..The telescopic arms allowing you to look at your food without having to pull the whole thing out onto your bench is gold..!AND the Food Probe cooks everything perfectly..!“Love our Lectrolux..”!
I bought this oven thinking that the steam cooking would be as good as steam cooking using a wok or a steamer. It was a big disappointment. When we steam cooked "pau", dumpling, fish, minced pork and other Chinese dishes, they turned out to be hard on the outside. Steaming of Chinese dishes requires wet unsaturated steam to keep the food moist both inside and outside. Unfortunately, this oven requires the temperature to be set at 130°C or higher before it will produce steam. At 130°C, the steam become superheated. Superheated steam is dry and therefore not suitable for steam cooking of Chinese dishes or any other dishes requiring the food to stay moist on the outside.
It's hard to believe what a difference the oven makes; steam baking is next level but even without using steam food just tastes better; maybe because the oven holds heat really well so food cooks before it dries out... somehow veges, meat, cakes, everything out of our new oven looks and tastes better. I love a bit of tech and this oven has got all sorts of great features; it's easy to use but things like a little red bar that extends as the oven heats makes it quick to see how close the oven is to the set temperature. Pyrolytic cleaning is AMAZING; it really is as easy as the ads make it look; after cooking several roast joints the oven looked quite dirty but after one pyrolytic clean wiping with a damp cloth the oven is in show room condition again. Haven't need to ... MoreIt's hard to believe what a difference the oven makes; steam baking is next level but even without using steam food just tastes better; maybe because the oven holds heat really well so food cooks before it dries out... somehow veges, meat, cakes, everything out of our new oven looks and tastes better. Loving the oven so far. Looking forward to getting to use the steam element but love hearing the positive comments.Unfortunately we wanted a pyrolytic oven as I hate cleaning ovens but our installer informed us against this. We do not have enough ventilation space behind. Possibly we could add a vent below but not really an option.Without the correct ventilation means the electronics board can burn out. Also would have loved a cookbook or recipes to help as a guide to using the oven. Please check
