Firstly, if you want to purchase an item and get customer service and answers to questions and information on your warranty DO NOT buy from the good guys. I went in to buy a vacuum that had attachments and tools to vacuum stairs etc. as I have dogs and the sales person said the C9 had them in the box. Only for me to drive back home for 1.5 hours to find out it didnt.. I went on to use the product anyway as I didnt have time to travel another 100 kms to change the product and they were of no help. 2 months into having the vacuum the turbo head stopped spinning. Never again the good guys for any product and no Electrolux vacuum cleaner

After having to continually buy bags for my last vacuum, I decided on the Electrolux Pure C9 bagless vacuum. I had compared models on line but the salesperson answered any further questions I had, was very helpful and showed me how everything works. The Turbo head (low to high suction) is pretty noisy, but it is excellent at cleaning carpets, picking up fine dust from deep down in the carpet and pet hair. The regular head (which also comes with this model) seems better for tile, flat floor, or vacuuming the car interior. Emptying the dust is easy, however, dust does cling to the cylinder.... but that comes with being a bagless model and everything is washable. Really happy with my purchase.

Bought this vac on the recommendation of a Choice review regarding pet hair removal on carpet, still I was skeptical. My old vacuum (ok, it was over ten years old) couldn't get close and it was a neverending nightmare. But I have to say the Turbo head is amazing! There was not a hair left in the carpet, I couldn't believe it! I'm also pleased with how lightweight and easy the vacuum is to manoeuvre. Unlike the Choice review, I don't have any trouble with the dust cannister opening unexpectedly at all, whether picking up the vacuum or taking the cannister out of the vacuum. It's very easy to use. I like that there are two handles to carry the vacuum, at the top and on the end. I replaced a Dyson that had died and I have not been disappointed with this vacuum. Although I do not have pets I have children with long hair and carpet - love the extra larger head which is included. The vacuum has a great suction and cleans well. Easy to wheel about. Love the cord too. Instructions weren't great with regard to the filters and I had to watch a 16 year old on You Tube on how to clean the them but that's okay. He was very informative and correct. Vacuum fits neatly too under my stair storage area too. For the price it is awesome.

I purchased it, unfortunately the first one I got did not even start much to my disappointment and frustration, I returned it and decided to get a second one. Well I wasnt disappointed the second time, the suction so strong that if not on the right setting for carpet/floor its too hard to use. The team at Good Guys have been sensational and helped us at every turn, so this review is not about them, they have been fantastic. But these vacuums are 100% rubbish. the first one we used approx 12 times and it dies, that happens, bit of bad luck, so we replaced it with the same unit. The second unit died after 5 minutes. We called Electrolux 'customer care' who simply said take it to the good guys ()I cannot state enough that these vacuums are 100% rubbish and should be avoided at all cost's. Buy a different brand, but do NOT BUY THIS MODEL. We have had two in 12 months, they are unreliable garbage.
The vacuum cleaner is excellent. Sucking action is strong and the barrel moves easily. The power cord is surprisingly long compared to most vacuum cleaners l have had. Two different head attachments and a crevice tool are all l need. The dust emptying process is very simple. Open a trap door and tip out. Close the door. Very easy. Very happy with my purchase of this vacuum cleaner.
I vaccumed my carpet the day before this arrived. Oh boy! My old vacuum, despite insane suction left so much behind, I may as well have not bothered using it. This mighty machine picked up so much animal hair, I could have made another small dog. No more bags to buy and emptying this one is very easy, and the dust falls away from you so you're not inhaling it. Just drop it and walk away. Stores standing up so frees up a little floor space. Good old, reliable Electrolux.
I love this vacuum cleaner. Its easy to use, moves around effortlessly with you, comfortable to hold. The suction is amazing! with the option of min to max performance. I had a Dyson before hand. Went back to the Electrolux which was my first brand of purchase 20+ years ago. Best appliance I've ever bought..Used it on my rug with the animal attachment (I have a labrador) and the flaky, dry, old skin and hair that this machine sucked up on max capacity was amazing but embarrassing! I thought the Dyson was doing its job but maybe now due for retirement! FANTASTIC product! HIGHLY recommend :)
This vac is brilliant. Quiet, powerful and can lift the carpet off the floor. The three-in-one tool attachment thingy is pure genius in the way it has been designed. The dust collector is a tad small so you'll be emptying that pretty often but it's easy to do. The Long cord means you can go a long way around the place without changing plugs too often. I've only had it a week so only time will tell if lasts long, but it's better than the Dyson I had last, and lots quieter.
