All the power, a fraction of the desk space

I love the robust and compact design of the Stream Deck mini. Although it has a fixed base and is always at the same angle, I think it works well in this form factor because of its size. I actually have mine mounted to the front edge of my desk with double sided tape to free up more desk space. It's small and light enough that it's a really strong bond with the double sided tape, plus the angle of the back face of the base makes the front face of the Stream Deck Mini angled just enough to not accidentally have the buttons pressed when mounted to the edge of the desk. Note: I am an Elgato Partner and received my Stream Deck Mini at no cost. My opinion and review of this product is honest and my own. Fun, and works great!

Fun to use and easy to set up, despite the instructions not being very user-friendly. Right now, I have it set up to open various programs on 5 of the buttons, and the 6th button goes to a different page with 5 more presets, and so forth. You can put in virtually unlimited functions this way, as long as you don't need to see them all at once. (If you do, get the bigger Stream Deck.) They say not to plug it into a USB hub, but only into a USB port on the actual computer, and, in fact, the unit doesn't even work if plugged into a hub! You must use a USB port actually on the computer. Just one annoyance: the unit isn't very heavy, and when I reach over to push a button, it frequently just slides away from me on the desk. I have been looking at Elgato Stream Decks for a while and I want to get familar with them so I opted to go with the Stream Deck Mini. The 6 buttons are good for starting out. Making use of the Elagto Stream Deck software allows me to easily set up "folders" to really extend the 6 buttons into a almost infinite option solution. Incredibly Useful on both PC and Mac

I stream, game and work - this allows me to customize and streamline all kinds of stuff from keyboard macro's to system control changes, IFTTT external-hooks to control my home automation or just launch scripts or apps. The device switches seamlessly from Mac to PC - I have custom configurations on each platform - fantastic. The button displays and device behavior are fully customizable as well. It's simply a solid piece of incredible. I loved this unit so much, I got it's bigger brother too - and I plan to move this little one to my office (once those reopen again).

Inexpensive and effective

Really great for adding programmable buttons to any setup. While meant for streaming, I used it to automate scanning photos. Software can be tied to keystrokes, open software or do actions so it's very flexible. Also, it's angled but doesn't slide due to a rubberized foot. Buttons have a satisfying feel to them and are fully programmable so you can add images/text to each. Lastly, the long USB cable let's you put it where you like.

Mini stream deck

I purchased this device because I do professional training videos for my professional career. The tool, a macro switch box for all intensive purposes does a really good job of allowing me flexibility when screen capturing in OBS or recording on green screen with two cameras. Its small. Simple yet powerful. Im very happy with the device and find it is built well enough and should last for some time. I only wish it had a power off switch.
