I'm happy with the purchase as it was a solid feel as soon as you pick it up out of the box. It operates smoothly and can be adjusted for weight of mic. I have a Blue Yeti X attached and did not have to adjust the resistance.Only things I would change is the packaging could have been more premium but is was a simple cardboard box with very little insulation.The tightening mechanism (to the desk) is a hand lever which isn't bad but it can cause issue for tight spaces depending where your desk is located and where you decide to mount.

I tried the lp version of this and I hated it, but this one is perfect. The extender gives plenty of height the added weight helps with lighter mics, and the movement is smooth and quiet.

Great mic arm if you're not a fan of the 'crane' aesthetic that most other models have. Very unobtrusive most of the time, and even when in use doesn't intrude into your field of vision. Feels rock solid both in terms of attaching to the table, and in holding the microphone. My Rode Podmic is very heavy, but the arm is holding it with no issues even at its maximum extension. Swings easily into and out of view when not needed. Magnetic cable channel covers are nice.
This is a great quality arm that can reach over monitors with a quality Microphone onboard without sagging or wobble. It can carry a good weight. I have started hanging my headphones on it and thinking of putting my webcam on it too. The Cable tidy had me looking at the rest of my cable nest and sorting that out too. Totally recommend after living with a crappy cheap one for years 0 this is worth the extra coin, particularly if you have a shock mount, pop filter with your Microphone.
Not comPatible with every mic …. Needs a weight or a heavy mic- arm doesn’t secure with hinge system…. Arm will pop up if you don’t use their specific mic or use a weight to weigh it down.
I am using a blue yeti X + shockwave microphone and the arm is barely holding it. On several occasions the mic just dropped down although it was tightly secured. The attachment that you connect your mic to still requires a lot of work from Elgato - I bought their stand for my camera and light and that also sometimes falls down for no reason.
I debated this purchase for awhile but am very happy I finally took the plunge. I used to have a microphone on a small stand on my desk for Zoom meetings, which took up a lot of desk real estate. Now, I move the boom arm out of the way when I'm not in a meeting and I have my whole desk back. The arm itself is very sturdy and moves fluidly. I've been very happy with Elgato products overall.
Quite sturdy and well weighted. Stays where I want it. Casing let’s me hide the cable completely. Definitely recommend, even if it’s a bit more pricey. Better looking than the cheaper ones too.
