For instance , when I put my 20mm band into my 21 mm watch , it will not hold and I cannot change the spring bar inside with the original one that comes with the 21mm. So I would say this is a 2 sided blade to have the quick change system , yes it is quick to change your straps but it will not fit into watches of plus or minus 1 lud width versus if it was on normal slide in spring bar, you might still squeeze it in or have it fit a little looser.

That was, until Barton stepped in again.This is my first Elite Silicone watchband, and I'm impressed just how much the outer layer doesn't look like silicone. The textured finish gives it a look of class uncommon in these types of straps. And the purple inner layer keeps it fun.Speaking of that inner layer, it's incredibly comfortable! And it gives just enough punch while wearing my watch. What's darkness without a little vibrant color, after all.The only caveat I ran into was that the buckle it came with made the strap fit either too tight or too loose. This is my third Elite Silicone watch strap purchased from Barton. These straps are extremely comfortableand complement my watches nicely. I prefer a silicone strap for some of my "chunkier" watches as theyare lighter in weight than a metal bracelet. Barton makes a high quality product and the quick release feature is an added bonus when changing watch bands. This is NOT a paid review, just an honest opinion of a great product! Kudos to Barton! I have purchased two leather Barton bands - first a black one, and the quality was so spectacular and the quick-release pins so easy to use that I ordered a brown one to swap out on days that brown just worked better. I've been so impressed with these two bands, I decided to order the black silicone version as well. This silicone band is simply perfect for days when I'm more active. The band stretches and is supple and soft, so it's perfectly comfortable. Barton adds a notch at the end of the clasp with a toggle in the outside keeper so that the keeper stays in place (no annoying flopping strap when the keeper slides off the end). I love Casio Watches, especially G-Shocks. But I have never cared for their bands. With the G-Shock Standard attachment, I can use any Barton 22mm band. What better place to put a Barton Elite Silicone? Comfort, security, and a much better overall appearance certainly sealed the deal for me. I also added a Black Elite Silicone strap so I have a little choice day to day. The only con is that the Barton G-Shock Adapter is not easy to install. With patience and a good watch pin tool, it can be done. But be sure to do it in a place where you can find the watch pins if (and definitely WHEN!) they escape, launching themselves into lower orbit. Having a few extra 16mm watch pins might not be overkill! But once secured, the Adapter does its job well.
The Barton Elite Silicone watch band is a replacement for an Isofrane rubber watch band I had recently purchased. The Isofrane caused continuous heat rash issues. It is late spring here in Florida, and the heat and humidity are not a good environment for the Isofrane. I switched to the silicone strap; the heat rash issues vanished almost immediately. Also, the silicone is more comfortable than rubber next to my skin, regardless of the temperature. Further, the Barton buckle's finish was customizable. I chose the "gunmetal grey" finish as it matches the color of my watch case. The Isofrane only came in the obligatory shiny stainless finish. I wear an expensive chronograph and will not "skimp" on the price of a proper watch band for it. Very comfortable strap- I like the two-tone aspect, especially for a watch like this one-see photo-, and the locking keeper is a great idea. I had to remove the included spring bars for this watch, but that was no problem. My only niggle is that because it is only basic silicon, it still tends to pick up lint and dust, but not as much as some. Barton, I would happily pay a bit more if you offered a strap like this in FKM rubber which is really a much better material, and I'm sure I'm not alone here. And also thanks for the two different lengths- I definitely need the longer one! Sorry for the hairy wrist shot!
Excellent quality - and not thick.The quality of the straps is very high (not like the ones that I've purchased which easily rip/tear). They are only 2mm thick, which was perfect for me. All other rubber straps I've had are 4mm thick - and not appropriate for my wrist or watch. I was surprised that I received two of the non-buckle straps - of different lengths - great if you have a large wrist. I also enjoyed the little locking mechanism on the keeper to stop it from sliding down. Great feature.
This is my first time using silicone straps (I ordered 2 sets). The QR spring bars are genius. Barton provides two lengths of the strap end with the buckle holes - very generous and a great idea. The color is so pure and rich, and this orange happens to go really well with my Seiko SRPB31. The strap is comfortable. I've used nylon NATO straps for years, but I think now silicone is the way to go... I'll see how long they last. Silicone is cleaner-looking and dressier than NATO straps. Yes, it's only a watch strap, but sometimes it's the little things that matter.
