Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Lift and Firm Cream Makeup SPF15 440W 30ml

I had never tried Elizabeth Arden products before, as I naively associated it with the Queen of England and thought of it as being just for older ladies. Granted, now that I'm closer to 40 than 30, I'm rapidly approaching that category myself. I've tried a few different foundations with added skincare benefits over the last few years, and none of them sat well on my face and either looked cakey or greasy. The consistency is thick and more face cream than foundation, and goes on smooth and perfect with fingers or a blender. My skin tone and texture are even, pores and blemished and dark undereyes are covered, and I look 30 again! The added ceramides are actually nourishing and plumping my skin while I wear it, giving lasting benefits even after washing off at the end of the day. I noticed healthier looking skin after only 3 days of wearing this makeup all day, and it stayed put and looking fabulous with just a small amount of setting powder. The jar it comes in in heavy thick glass, and I appreciate the ability to use up every last drop. I'm so pleased with the wonders it does to my complexion and will continue to enjoy looking younger and more refreshed.

I’ve always considered Elizabeth Arden to be a brand that is from old-school department stores. Never really interested me before. I’m pleasantly surprised by this foundation. It’s super light and I apply it with my fingertips and blend it in. It covers my redness nicely. I hate heavy feeling make up so the lightness of this formula is a huge plus. Feels very hydrating and smooth. I haven’t had any creasing under my eyes at all, which is awesome. The shade works perfectly for me. I have auburn hair, blue green eyes and medium neutral/warm skin tone. The only thing I really don’t like is that it’s in a pot. I really would prefer a doe foot applicator or a pump. This container is kind of messy, that’s the only downside.

It’s a rich, thick cream, and you only need a little but you can use a little more to build up from medium to full coverage. The texture is so thick and heavy and creamy, I don’t like that I can feel it on my face, I prefer foundations that feel weightless. But it really does do an excellent job of covering redness and uneven skin tone and imperfections. Your complexion will look exquisite. So natural, yet so much better than natural. Unfortunately I blended and blended and blended with my fingers and still saw a few areas where it looked like it needed to be blended further; maybe use a mirror with good lighting, perhaps try a makeup sponge (I’ve never used one personally). The difficulty in blending this makeup flawlessly makes application a bit annoying. That’s another gripe I have about this foundation. But the fact that it doesn’t blend perfectly isn’t very noticeable closeup and you can’t tell at all from a distance - and honestly just gently blend as best as you can and poof a little powder over your face and it should look like perfection (powder certainly perfects the look). This cream foundation also is noncomedogenic and has a bunch of desirable anti-aging properties. It moisturizes and helps support the skin’s barrier. It features “Ceramide Triple Complex” for lifting, plumping, and firming skin. I really feel like I’m doing something good for my skin when I’m wearing this foundation - it’s makeup and skincare in one which is always a plus for me. I feel like my 36-year-old maturing skin actually benefits from wearing this foundation … while so often foundations are bad for your skin or kind of neutral. It claims to help to improve fine lines, wrinkles, skin’s firmness and elasticity. That’s pretty impressive, I want to see the effects of wearing this regularly over a period of time. I have fine lines under my eyes and my skin needs firmness and elasticity for sure. My skin could definitely stand to look younger, plumper and more lifted and lovely. After I wear this makeup and wash it off my skin always looks so fresh and beautiful but I also have an excellent cleanser. Complexion looks smooth and even and the shade is absolutely ideal for my skin tone. I can’t tell much of a difference at all between the color of this makeup and the color of my skin once I start blending. This cream foundation comes in a thick glass jar that looks a little on the upscale side, it doesn’t look like there’s a lot at first glance but there really is a lot as it turns out, because you don’t need to use too much, just a nice dab or two. I think this stuff will last me a good long time. Lastly, my complexion just really looks beautiful and natural and nearly flawless when wearing this luxurious foundation and a powder over it, I look healthier and more radiant, even after removing the makeup. I’m impressed, but keep in mind it’s hard to blend perfectly with fingers and it does feel sort of heavy. (I still want to wear it for the rest of my life.) I love the medium-full coverage, I prefer building up to full coverage personally, and I love the beautiful professional makeup effect achieved by wearing it. Makes me want to go out on the town!

This product has taken me by surprise. What a wonderful dual action product. Not only does it provide great coverage, but I can feel my skin becoming slightly for supple. It’s provides the most natural dew and the color match is pretty good. When wearing this product, It feels like I have on a light moisturizer at first. But, then it’s quickly absorbed into the skin leaving behind a great even layer with minimal texture residue. I wouldn’t suggesting building on top of it with concealer or anything until it’s completely dried down. Overall, it’s a good product and is perfect for the women who simply want even their skin tone while also enjoying the firming benefits.

I think it's the added ceramides that makes a difference. I typically use serums in my bb creams to try to combat any sort of amplification of pores etc, I wanted to try the lift and firm on its own to get a good idea of the product itself. I didn't have any creasing around my mouth or eyes after a full day of wear and the shade complimented my skin tone well. I didn't even need to add any serums to help the hydration of the product. This is really a great full coverage foundation and will opt for this more often than my other products that I consider my holy grails. There isn't much scent, other than what one would expect from a regular unscented foundation. Overall this is a great product and it's definitely a good one for 30+ as the added hydration it provides is something that as we get older we definitely need.

I really like this cream, the texture is so very creamy. It glides on like a dream, it blends beautifully. I absolutely adore ceramide! It’s so good for anti aging and protecting the skin barrier. This cream does have a matte finish. I found that missing a little drop or two of the hyaluronic acid drops into the cream gives it more of a dewy finish! The samples sent with my cream are so appreciated. I appreciate any for of ceramide and hyaluronic acid. Such a wonderful duo. The white tea perfume sample is divine. It is so light and clean. It will be next on my list. Definitely give this a try, the color match is spot on!

It blends in quickly and doesn’t leave streaks. I love that if I missed a spot I am applying more and to will still blend in with the cream that has already dried on my face. The cream is lightweight and doesn’t feel cakey on my face at all. It covers all my blemishes and scars which is awesome. I’m still not sure about its anti-aging properties but I really hope what the company claims is true as I would love to improve my fine lines and wrinkles. Not clean but I really like this!

I purchased this because of TikTok influencer Erica Taylor. She made such a compelling argument for this foundation for mature, dryer skin. I have to say I am really happy with it. Because I have a little color on my face from the sun, I went with a little darker shade, and I really have only used a little bit at a time. I would use a little bit more in the winter so I will go back for a lighter color as the cooler weather approaches. My only negative comment would be that I wish it had clean ingredients. 44/100 on Yuka. 😞 That’s something to consider.
