Elizabeth Arden EDT Red Door 100ml

This is an older perfume most women swear is perfect for the cooler months, but I am only now finding this to be enjoyable as the temperatures are warming up and we move into Spring. Red Door is a loud, powdery floral with a huge floral bouquet. The opening is very intense and can be difficult for me because I am sensitive to tuberose and find it to be literally suffocating. Once this fragrance settles in my skin for a few minutes, it starts to become a beautiful powdery, warm, rose and jasmine fragrance that dances on a base of honey with the tuberose note floating above. It all works together in a way that smells amazingly sexy and feminine to my nose. I find myself burying my face into my robe or shirt to smell the sweet honey and floral scent anytime I am wearing it now. I would consider this a more mature floral appropriate for a woman in her 30’s or older. It is intense and can become overwhelming when more than a couple of sprays are used. I don’t recommend wearing this to dinner. The tuberose note seems to make it difficult to eat or enjoy flavors when I wear this. However, this is very affordable and easy purchased at department stores or TJ Maxx at reasonable prices. It smells more modern than most fragrances from the 80’s or 90’s. It is not a safe blind buy, but it is a nice departure from the modern fragrances of today.

I do find this one a bit too florally for me as I prefer sweet fruity fragrances. The Red door top notes are Rose, Orange Blossom, Plum, Violet, Peach and Anise; middle notes are Honey, Carnation, Rose, Tuberose, Ylang-Ylang, Jasmine, Lily, Freesia, Lily-of-the-Valley and Orchid; base notes are Sandalwood, Amber, Benzoin, Musk, Heliotrope, Vetiver and Cedar. This perfume is a floral, creamy, sweet, slightly soft spicy, and honey and is a number one fragrance for my mum. Older generation would be best suited to this one I think. Red door smells like glamour and class and has great sillage. Another Five Stars for This Wonderful Fragrance!

I have been using Red Door for many years. It smells wonderful, not too heavy and not too light, and seems to last all day on me. I have received numerous compliments from strangers asking me what that wonderful fragrance was. Doesn't matter if it is first thing in the morning or late in the afternoon or evening. It still gets noticed when I wear it. Must be my body chemistry blending with it, because it definitely stays with me. I love it! Definitely my always and forever fragrance. Love the red bottle door too.

This Red Door Body Powder is FANTASTIC and it smells so yummy not to mention how SMOOTH AND SILKY if feels on my skin. I dont wear it during the day because of the soft white finish on my body but what I love to do is wear it in the evening before I put my nightgown or pajamas on. Like the Red Door Body Lotion it also smells fantastic and leaves a beautiful silky feel on my skin. Before I go to bed I like to shower with my Red Door Shower Gel, put the lotion on and then finish it with the Body Powder so I feel and smell so good during the night. The lotion soaks right in to your skin and there is NO GREASY feel to it So putting the powder on afterwards works out well. And my husband has said he LOVES the way I SMELL and FEEL too and that is always good to hear

It has SO much complexity and depth that makes it so unique I have only heard of 13 perfumes remotely comparable to this. It starts off strong and spicy, with the peach and plum notes most prominent to my nose, drawing you in to discover more. The sweetness isnt intense or syrupy, but very authentic and natural. The longevity, projection, and silage are better than a lot of EDPs Ive tried. Two sprays on your skin is all you need to last all day or a long night out. On your clothes, 12 sprays will last until you wash them. Amarige is a woman who is feminine and sophisticated. She is confident and classy in a gentle, effortless way. She is sexy and desirable, worth pursuing and waiting for. Since perfume is very personal and subjective, especially a very unique perfume, its inevitable this is a love it or hate it fragrance. However, theres a reason why its still a beloved perfume 30 years after it launched, making it a timeless classic I recommend any woman should try.

Great Product, but Wrong One Sent!

I have used Red Door Parfum Spray for a long time and really like the product. However, my local department store was out of the product, so I ordered directly from Elizabeth Arden, expecting to get what I ordered. I paid the price of parfum spray and the box label said it was parfum spray, but the tag at the bottom of the bottle said toilette spray. I have tried that product before but don't like it as well as the parfum. If the parfum spray was unavailable or on backorder, why did Elizabeth Arden send a different product to me, rather than declining my order due to unavailability? Unless I get used to the toilette spray, I likely will no longer use Red Door unless I can find it in my local department store.

My favorite

This has been my favorite since it was brought to the public. Men have come into my work and always commended me on my scent, wanting to buy it for their women. Very hard to find now. Having to order it. I didnt give 5 stars, though i thought coming fron Arden itself, it would be fresh. I only buy the perfume, not the toilette and it seemed this bottle might have been in stock for awhile. It didnt seem fresh., ready to turn to alcohol. I dont mind paying for a great scent as long as it continues to be fresh. I hope the next one is better, and i hope it gets back into some of the better stores, a little closer to me. Thank you for an excellent perfume (parfume).

Still waiting for return of original scent

I was also a life long customer of the original Red Door scent. Got compliments all the time from friends, family, coworkers and strangers off the street. I was a walking advertisement for Red Door. Everyone would ask what I was wearing. The scent lasted all day. Last bottle I purchased was a very watered down version. I did not get one compliment from anyone when wearing it. The bottle is now empty and I will be searching for a new perfume. I reached out to Elizabeth Arden customer service about 2 years ago and their response was a polite blow off. I would give this scent zero stars if allowed.

Terrible

I have had Red Door over the years and always bought it locally. It is one of my favorite scents!It arrived today, and I was so excited! Well that was short lived. This does not smell like Red Door! Stated on the box that it was still the classic scent so am assuming it hasn’t been changed. Smells terrible!By the time I take my time to pack the box , pay for shipping and handling and possibly a restocking fee (can’t remember what instructions called it) I am seriously thinking of ordering items from places like Target where I can take it back locally.
