Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant 50ml - Fragrance Free

The Eight Hour Cream is a cult classic and I’ve been using the fragrance free version for years (I have very sensitive skin). It’s great for dry areas like lips, cuticles, even heels, hands, wherever. Makeup artists also use this as a highlighter on cheekbones or add to eyelids for that glossy look. I used to do that until I found Jullian Dempsey’s Lid Tints and then Tower 28 came out with their dew balm, so I now use those much cleaner options. I’ve been meaning to get on the Eight Hour Cream bandwagon for the last 20 years and honestly, I’m so annoyed I didn’t sooner! It’s such a wonderful product which I’ve been using in so many ways. It’s amazing as a lip balm, especially before bedtime. My lips feel so soft when I wake up. I’ve been using it on dry hands and feet (also helps with making them super soft). I’ve also been using it to smooth over my hair if I’m out and about and have crazy frizz going on and on my swimming goggles to avoid having goggle marks on my face post-swim. Great Product

This is the sort of product I will never not own. It’s amazing for everything. I’ve been using it for years for various different things. It cures dry cracked lips better than any lip balm Ive ever used. It’s never far away when I suffer with a cold or flu as I’ll cover my lips and also a sore or dry nose. It’s great for dry hands and fingernails, I rub it on my cuticles regularly to keep them hydrated. And the most amazing use of on dry or cracked heels. What a game changer. I’ve tried all sorts to keep my feet soft for summer and nothing works half as well as this. 2 nights in a row and my feet feel so soft, completely transformed them. This isn’t called an award winning cream for nothing ! Stands true to all its claims ! I have combo skin but it’s made my skin so smooth and glowy ! A great make up base .. use it to moisturise my cuticles take away frizz from my hair settles down my eyebrows sooth chapped or dry lips and even used it as a foot cream !! Next morning I wake up with hydrated skin .. and no residue or sticky feeling is left behind ! I bought it for the dry winter season but I’m still using it through the summer ! You need a pea sized amount for ur face neck and hands. This version is the original so has a medicated fragrance whch is unpleasant to some I have read but doesn’t bother me much. I know they do a fragrance free version so that may be worth considering If heavy smells don’t sit right with you. This is the only negative I found, the consistency Is that of a very thick gel so a little goes a long way. Even upon application it leaves your skin with a dewey complexion. The next morning I noticed my skin looked hydrated , glowy & much more plump. I used this in conjunction with the capsules & was very happy with the results. It is a little on the pricy side but I’m very interested in the long term effects so may well have to purchase this to give it a real try out. Multiple uses, so hydrating!

I love a skincare product that can be used in so many different ways! As soon as I opened the cream I squeezed some of the cream out and applied it straight onto my lips. Instant satisfaction! I did this at night just to see what the result was on my dry lips, they felt soothed right away and the next morning that were very well moisturised and hydrated.The scent is quite robust, to me it smells very earthy/herby but not unpleasant once it is applied the scent doesn’t linger, but if fragrance was something someone didn’t prefer or they didn’t like the scent of this then they could buy the exact same cream in the fragrance free version. The cream is translucent orange in colour and whilst of a thicker consistency it is very glossy/oily it takes some time to rub in and doesn’t absorb right away so for me if using on hands or feet I would use this at night.I have also used this to intensely moisturise the dry skin on my hands, cuticles, and dry heels on my feet all at night I applied this on all areas before bed, slightly thicker on my heels and then applied socks. Again I couldn’t be happier with the results the next morning the cream instantly hydrates, soothes and softens the dry, hard skin.I also love the addition of well thought through features such as the tube standing on its lid for ease of use of whole product, it also has a beautiful frosted lid embedded with the iconic Elizabeth Arden red on the base of the lid.I will be definitely repurchasing this cream as a staple in my beauty and skincare routine as it works so perfectly well and I can use it for many uses. I recommend the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream to everyone.

I really like the cream. I was working in hospitality for 4 years and my nails became extremely brittle and my skin was so dry from the cleaning chemicals that my hands looked 20 years older than I am. I hate oily creams but I would put it on and put gloves on for a few hours or overnight. I also enjoyed putting in under my eyes for extra moisture during the night but it ended up causing me to develop white spots under my eye. That’s not the creams fault, it’s just my skin. Probably thicker skin types won’t have this issue. On top of that I think it has helped moisturise my cuticles as well and it’s wonderful for the elbows as most of us forget to moisturise that part of our body and it gets ashy and dry. This cream cured my acne …

I have been struggling with acne for about 10 years now (I am in my 30s), and have used almost everything and nothing really worked for me. If it did .. it would just make my skin extra dry and extra sensitive too. So, I stopped using creams for my acne for a few years at the start of Covid. But .. a couple of months ago I decided to start my search for a good cream again. So, I got this cream and used it every night (btw .. a little goes a long way). I honestly didn’t have any hopes, and to be honest I was sure it would even make my acne worse (because it felts so think and greesy), but after a week of using it .. I realized my skin is less irritated, less red and I didn’t develop new acne almost at all. Transforms your lips

I didn’t know what to expect when I received this, I thought it would just be an intense heavy moisturiser. It actually comes out as a translucent pink sticky gel and not knowing what to expect, the first time I squeezed out way too much and it made my face super sticky and unbearable. I think this is the type of thing you use to slug your face at night, it is defo not day friendly unless you want to look like a grease ball.Also the smell is very herby which is kind of off putting and it lingers. For this reason I was about to abandon this product but then because of how balmy it is, I decided to try it on my lips. And good lord, it’s an absolute dream and definitely justifies the scent. Also even though ELF is already a very affordable brand, this is cheaper per ml because all you need is the slightest smidge of product.I believe the nature of this also makes it ideal for “healing” purposes, e.g healing wind burn, buffering retinol to reduce irritation.
