Covers very well both as a foundation and as a touch-up concealer. Easy to apply (semi solid) using the included sponge; it sort of slides on. Have gone back to this product after 30 years of usng a powder-based foundation (Clinique) - which sadly now shows every line and crease! This doesnt. Downside is that it is very transferrable and tends to sit on the skin rather than sink into it. I use a little powder to finish on the t -zone because it can be a little shiny (contains lanolin??). Lasts really well all day - just keep your hands off your face!... Show more

Amazing
I love this product! I have been using this foundation for about 11 years now! It gives perfect coverage and so easy to apply. I have suffered with spots and this is the only foundation that doesn't irritate my skin and doesn't cause me outbreaks! I will forever use it!! I love that i can just pop it in my bag and top up at anytime (However it does tend to last all day) ... it really is fab!On a side note.. It is transferable, so dont touch anything with your face!!!... Show more

Best. Foundation. Ever.
I'm 66 and have been using this foundation since I was 17. I've tried other foundations from time to time but always come back to FF Sponge On Cream Foundation. It simply makes my skin look...well...flawless. Interestingly, my skin has aged significantly better (understatement) than the vast majority of people my age, so I think that having used this foundation for so long has given me added protection from damaging environmental conditions that perhaps aren'tavailable with most other foundations. I believethis is the best foundation for all age groups. If EA would bring bring back their fabulous Ceramide Cream Blush then my makeup routine would again be perfection!... Show more

Great Coverage, Light as a Feather
I discovered this compact cream based makeup through a friend. For years I used Mary Kaye and they discontinued, switched to Merle Norman then and coverage too heavy, tried Cover Girl and not enough coverage. This makeup is a dream come true. I dearly love it. There are so many colors to match your skin!! It feels so good but doesn't stay greasy or moist. Perfect for all older women that love a rich but light, cream based base makeup!!... Show more

Great product
I started to wear Elizabeth Arden Flawless Finish Sponge on Cream makeup more than 10 yrs ago and I love it! No other makeup gives my skin the coverage it does. It is easy to use, gives amazing coverage, without clogging up the pores of my skin. In my bathroom at the moment are makeup from Clinique and Lancome, but they don't give my skin the same coverage as my Elizabeth Arden. I am sucked into buying different brands ,because sometimes I want to see what they have to offer in terms of coverage on my skin. The very worse makeup I have ever bought is Estee Lauder double wear it made my face so tight I couldn't talk for fear of my face cracking, it did give adequit coverage but that is all. Elizabeth Arden to me is much more than makeup to me, I have acne in my forties who knew? Baby boys for you! Anyway it has left me absolutely paranoid about my skin, if somebody looks at me I'm wondering all the time what is wrong with my face? Elizabeth Arden flawless finish makeup is much more than makeup to me. It is my best friend, when I wear it and peoe look at me I know that there's nothing wrong with my makeup. Wearing Elizabeth Arden gives me confidence and peace of mind knowing that when I wear it I can face (pun intended!) the challenges that my day is going to bring me! Believe you me I am not a vain person,I honestly am not but having bad acne on my face and receiving hospital dermatologists treatment for it which left me with pitted skin and bad scarring on my chin, which I have been offered plastic surgery for, tends to knock your confidence a wee bit. But Elizabeth Arden gives me confidence, it gives me the best skin coverage I could ever ask for, and it's cheaper than plastic surgery!!. Please don't ever discontinue it... Show more

Lovely!
This is a lovely creamy foundation that can be full or light cover. Dry sponge full, damp sponge quite sheer, fingers sheer. I find if you only need on certain areas using fingers is great, used alone or set with a loose powder. Even though you may think quite expensive you do get more product in this compact than any other brand. Some cream compacts you only get 9g or not much more,so paying extra in this case works out value for money and gives you a truly flawless finish. I use vanilla shell which is a good match for my fair skin, but if you want more of a pink tone go for porcelain beige.... Show more

Sponge on makeup
I wore this makeup for 25 years and stopped using it and tried many different brands. I recently went back to this. Young girls be careful about using your hands to apply makeup and too many beauty products. Everytime you touch or rub your face wrinkles tend to set in so use a sponge! I'm now 64 and I never used anything but a sponge and always only used Dove soap and I get so many compliments about lack of wrinkles. Limit the things you use to rub into your face. Causes wrinkles later in life.... Show more

Still great coverage; not as good as it used to be
I can't put my finger on why it's slightly less impressive than when it came in the older packaging (wider box) but it's definitely not as good as it was. Coverage is still great but it's a bit heavier/cakier than it used to be. If you're new to this EA foundation, it's more perfumed than most and quite dense but it's a must-have if you're looking to completely cover blemishes, pores, rosacea. The best primer to us is the Maybelline baby-skin as anything lighter will just get wiped away when you're applying this foundation.Great as usual - but only 4 stars from a life-long user because something's changed and it's not quite as brilliant as it used to be. Still worth the price tag but if you're a new user, make sure you go in store to test colours - they're nowhere ... The 8 hour cream is great for overnight.... Show more

Your skin is probably not prepped properly
I have used this product off and on for the lasts 44 years. I worked at a drugstore that carried over 50 of EA products and we, the other ladies that worked the cosmetic counter and I, went to a few seminars put on by EA. I went home with lots of prizes, the most and the grand prize, all from answering questions about the products, I was 16.But later went on to become fully licenced hairdresser and Makeup Artist. I did a lot of makeovers, proms, wedding parties and Portraits, not to mention medical makeup, a Music Video, fashion shows, The big Bridal Shows at Convention centers (the worst) and Victor Costa Bridal Spring Fashion show. All to say I AM AN EXPERT IN MAKEUP FOR ALL PLATFORMS, (live , video, tv, specialty)And the one thing I can tell you is, when ... I did a lot of makeovers, proms, wedding parties and Portraits, not to mention medical makeup, a Music Video, fashion shows, The big Bridal Shows at Convention centers (the worst) and Victor Costa Bridal Spring Fashion show. All to say I AM AN EXPERT IN MAKEUP FOR ALL PLATFORMS, (live , video, tv, specialty)And the one thing I can tell you is, when someone complains about a superior product not working or being cakey or thick, they probably have not prepared their skin properly. This might be because of their skin care regimen or bad advice or both.Having a good skin regimen doesn't have to be complicated, in fact for daily use, Don't be complicated. Using too many things at a time confuses the skin or builds up so much product, the makeup just Slides Off. Occasionally, do the big or heavy moisture stuff when you're not going anywhere today or the next. And every few years, your skin changes (think age , sun and hormones) so be conscious of little changes or big changes. If you can't figure it out, ask an expert. When we're young, we have moist, smooth skin or acne, have children or take the pill or hormones change, age, too much sun equals dry non-receptive skin.I had to have a hysterectomy at 42, my Dr said it would be years before I went into menopause (leave it to a man, they don't have the same equipment) , he lied. As soon as the surgery and drugs got out of my system, I had No, none, nada moisture and had to figure it out all over again. This when I turned to my old friend foundation from EA. I always used to dampen the sponge, that didn't work now, so just my gel moisturizer, I could barely move the sponge. Went up a notch to a cream based one , better but not quite enough. So I put a couple drops of gel on makeup to on sponge, BINGO!I HAD ALWAYS HAD OILY SKIN, SO MENTALLY THIS WAS A GIANT LEAP.SO,in winter or sun exposure or just random dryness, my savior for 44 years has been original 8hr cream. Attack those dry spots, over exposed decolletage, frown lines, elbows, knees and back of hands( thinnest skin on body second only to eyes, then throat). So if the occasion calls for it, put on your clean fingers first digit and emulsify (rub your finger tips together with a little force in a circular motion until it heats slightly and thins from friction). Then gently tap your fingers over driest areas first, so you don't get greasy and don't use to much pressure spreading it out. You never want to tug, same goes for the foundation, if you're pulling the skin, you need more moisture. You can just add it on top and blend, you don't have to start over. The foundation takes a little while to set, which is good because you can make these adjustments and it won't flake off.And even though it has no sunscreen, if you don't touch it, in most cases, 8 hrs in the sun at the lake, will give you great protection (I also recommend a hat especially if you are on the water, sun bounces off water and up at you.On a personal note, I have Systemic Lupus, so I am allergist to the sun and florescent lighting, Sam's, Walmart, Kroger and department stores, my phone and computer screen. Without this makeup and hats, I wouldn't be able to go anywhere and not get very sick. Thanks to this make up, at age 34ish, I spent every weekend for a year and 1/2, at the lake on a boat and with my boyfriend. Thank you EA.... Show more
