Good solid rack, heavier than others... definitely use a few coats of anti-rust spray above & below the spot-weld points, where the cross-bars meet the side bars. After rain I saw where the rust spots were so, after cleaning, I used Cold Gal Black Zinc Coating from SuperCheap Auto, 400g, $13
Screws in the joint is not fit the connection holes , too small and I think its not strong enough to tie the two section
Good Quality and tough roof rack made of steel with a powder coated finish. Its one of the best looking racks that wont spoil the look of your new car. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it.
Strong basket, sits well on roof racks, looks good on my 200 series Land Cruiser Sahara. Only criticism is the U bolts/Clamps supplied should be a little wider. I had to buy larger U clamps to fit my 160cm basket to roof rack. Still great value.
You will need it just in case if you move few things or go off road for weekend. Just get anti-rust black paint from Supercheap autos and do 2-3 passes around welding points and both side rails before you start using it. This way you protect it from any scratches.
Seems to be robust and does the job. Pity about the fact it is starting to rust already. Will paint it when I get time. Only surface rust but the rack is only a month or so old but apart from that it seems good, looks good and does the job.
it took know time to fit i did repaint it before fitting only as i am fussy great value rack you get better any for money thanks,
