After owning an Ember mug v1 for a couple years and loving it, I finally bought a Travel mug2. It's working wonderfully to and form university and work. My only complaint about it is that in winter times it gets really cold where I live, and the mug is not able it retain the sett temperature, so when I get inside it takes extra battery and time to get it to my preferred temperature. Overall an excellent product I highly recommend.

I was given the travel mug (2nd edition) as a Christmas gift and was delighted! For the half a dozen times I used it I was very pleased indeed, until the lid broke (always hand washed, never dropped, treated as a precious object). Typically this happened just as I was returning to work after WFH for most of the last 18 months. I seefrom other reviews that this is not an uncommon issue, although I have not found that the service team have been responsive or supportive - in fact my three submissions have been ignored. So disappointing and means that the mug has cost approx £30 per use - so you might expect a little more!

I must admit, initially I didn't have high expectations for the mug as I was sceptical about the technology and the battery life. However after using it for a few days, it is more than fit for purpose and really performs well. Unfortunately due to my line of work I'm not consistently at my car or desk and get called out frequently and as a result a lot of brew's get wasted, however it is nice to get back to my vehicle after an hour or so and still have a warm brew. Ember have really brought a great solution to such a simple but unavoidable problem.
…Always room for improvement. Just bought this from an Apple Store whilst touring, fed up of using disposable mugs to! Initially sceptical but have to say - WILL DEFINITELY be keeping it and not returning it! Shame battery doesn’t last longer , but have just now ordered a car charger to, which should help. Wish the car charger was a removable USB C cable instead of a fixed 12v charge adapter. Already have several higher wattage fast charge devices supported by a single 12v car charger anyway. Being able right simply plug in an Ember USB C cable to the existing 12v adapter would make this eco system excellent. Add a few degrees higher temperature via firmware would also be great.
Solves all of my problems, I never have a cold cup of coffee. A bit of a bargain, to be honest.At work I currently I have a lot of waiting round. My unofficial boss is a bit of a control freak and have to spend quite a lot of time waiting outside of his office while he decides what I need to be doing My official boss hasn't got a clue of what is going on, but on the odd occassion he is in the office is quite the joker. I don't want to waste these moments trying to keep my coffee warm when we are running round, or outside getting a breath of fresh air.
I loathe hot drinks because they are always too hot, then immediately too cold meaning I can never really enjoy a coffee. My mug now allows me to drink my drink at my temperature when I want - perfect.My original (gifted) Ember Travel Mug arrived faulty so the support team rapidly shipped me a working unit.Great product and customer support. Nice idea, poorly implemented. The mug is great to hold and drink from but, that's about it. It's incredibly expensive, the app is hit and miss and they have continually ignored requests to fix accessibility bugs in their app for the blind using VoiceOver on IOS. To add to this, my second coaster has just broken. I realise that, as a blind user I may get the contacts wetted more often than sighted peers but, why not use qi charging. For heaven sake, it is a piece of electronics that is near liquid. The skeptical part of me wonders if this is part of the business plan. Look else where and support people who are inclusive to the disabled.

I bought this travel mug for my husband just under a year ago. He absolutely loves it and uses it every day. Two days ago the lid broke, I contacted Ember support to ask if I could purchase a new one, they replied within minutes and offered to send a free replacement lid. Knowing you have this level of support if things go wrong I will happily buy other items and would whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.
