Size chart works well. Fit is nice. Has both laces and Velcro strap. No issues with coming loose. Material on inside os shoe is made to ensure your foot does not slip out.
Exterior is tough and held up well. Entry and exit on the pedals is good. I like the stiffness of the shoe, allows for good power but also hike a bike.

Still wearing them in.Not sure yet how to best tie the laces and keep the retention strap clear at the same time.Once riding they’re brilliant, and not too shabby walking
around afterwards either!Sale prices from Tredz sealed the deal, need a bright orange pair as well now to complete the wardrobe !

My trial of these shoes has been limited by winter but I wanted to give initial impressions.Fit - These run true to size but are not roomy. I wear a 9-9.5 and 9.5 is comfortable.
They're certainly secure with the added velcro tab and cat's tongue material at the heel.Performance - No complaints on grip, we'll see how durable the tread is. They feel
fairly stiff with thick soles - I prefer a lower profile feel but these should stand up to harder rider better than some other shoes I've tried. It's not very ventilated.Quality &
Durability - No comments on durability yet. Quality looks good, for the most part, the stitching seems decent. The velcro tab is fairly thin and seems like it would... Show more

Grip not as good as Five Ten
22 December 2023
Been wearing Five Ten Freeriders for a few years - love the grip, but wanted to see if these Endura MT500's were any more comfortable and less "clunky" feeling when off the bike. After reading/watching many reviews, it appeared that these might be an improvement in that area (plus I liked the lace strap) While the fit seemed fine, my feet slipped off the flats several times in a very mild trail. Unfortunately, the only way to find that out is to wear them and now I can no longer return, so they will sit in the closet...forever.... Show more

King of the Mountain
28 March 2022
Always been a FiveTen fan, but now I’ve switch allegiance. The shoe is very supportive and stiff. The upper is pretty stiff as well which should protect the occasional rock strikes. Sizing is a quarter small, so you might want to size up since the upper is substantial and may not conform readily. Traction is quite good both on and off the pedal. Easy to reposition. Overall I am quite pleased.... Show more

Long review of this shoe
17 August 2022
I have been riding this shoe for a few months. The fit is nice for me I have a narrow foot and this fits me well. Has a nice stiff feel aka transfers power to the pedal it's not a floppy shoe. The rubber holds my foot on the pedals well even in wet conditions. I've used this shoe in all conditions even hike a bike in the snow. If you are looking for a great shoe, this is it. My one complaint would be that the velcro strap is a bit cheep feeling and stay away if you have wide feet.... Show more

Nice
15 June 2023
These are nice shoes. The soles are not too stiff, there's some flex to them. When you walk in them they feel like regular trainers. You could wear them to load the van up, drive there, ride the bike park and stop off at tesco on the way home.Clipping in with them is OK, no problems but obviously not as instant as a rock solid stiff carbon sole xc type shoe. The build quality is good and solid. If they are on sale again I will buy another pair in a different colour, maybe blue to match my beautiful eyes.... Show more

Nice shoes for riders that clip in but aren't looking for a cross country race shoe
17 October 2022
After the first couple of rides I'm liking these shoes. They have higher padding on the crank side of the shoe to keep your ankle from knocking into the crank arms or chain stays. For me, they fit true to size and have what I would call a roomy toe box. They have a fairly wide sole with grippy rubber for hike-a-bike sections of trail. They have been comfortable and I haven't noticed any hot spots when pedaling uphill or when attacking the downhill sections. Nice shoes for riders that clip in like myself.... Show more

Size 46, fit a bit small. I love these shoes!
26 July 2022
After 3 hard rides and a fair bit of gnarly hike-a-biking, I’m loving these shoes. Traction on the pedals and on the trail is superb. I’m still surprised at the excellent grip on bare rock.Comfort is very good. The Velcro strap across the instep is DA BOMB for keeping the laces tied up with a basic bow.Positive reviews at Singletracks and PinkBike note the rugged construction. I agree. The inside ankle-bone protector is a great idea and never chafes my ankle.Sizing: Both reviews (above) note a need to size up one. I usually choose Euro 45 or 45.5. (US ~11) In this case, 46 fits just right. There’s a sizing tag in my MT500 Burner Flat indicating 298 mm. This (to me) is a new way to size shoes. Measuring my feet, I get 275-280 mm (no socks). Maybe this will ... MoreAfter 3 hard rides and a fair bit of gnarly hike-a-biking, I’m loving these shoes. Traction on the pedals and on the trail is superb. Maybe this will help you choose the right size. I don’t know what Endura is measuring with their 298 mm info. Certainly I have less than 18 mm empty space in the toe box beyond my big toe!Summary: I’m an intermediate rider with little interest in flow trails or jumping. I’m old. I ride a Starling Murmur XL. Coil suspension f&r. I love rocky and rooty trails. I climb on singletrack where possible. These shoes are great. I don’t know ever shoe on the market. If you want to stop looking here, you’ll have made a good choice.... Show more

So far so good
26 August 2023
So far so good, only used a few times but I can say my feet aren't numb and they're really comfortable. The foot pad has a special arch built in that gives extra support. One interesting feature I really like is if you wear thin socks the heel has a built In anti movement pad that helps your foot from moving around and a nice touch is the extra set of laces....
