The 2 new CR2016 batteries connected in series supplies 6 volts to a remote controller. When pressing the button of the remote for 8 seconds, the 6 volts can't be maintained and slowly fluctuates to 4.6 volts. When button was released, the voltage climbs back to 5.8 volts. I don't have another battery to make comparisons.

The batteries expire next year. Most batteries especially Energizer and name brands have a shelf life of 10 years. You obviously sold me older batteries. The only reason I dont return them is usually batteries will still be good past expiration date and for Energizer, it is worth seeing if they are still good when I use em. BTW, wouldn't have wrote in but u asked.

I?m reviewing this product because I got a free sample from Ocado. The first thing we checked on these was the shelf life which was a whopping 12 years, perfect to keep in for when they are needed as they are an infrequent use item. We loved the little slot on the packaging to check that you have the right size replacement, not an issue for us but definitely something my elderly parents would find invaluable as they can never read the size on a battery like this. Although we can't comment on their longevity yet, we know that Energizer are a well trusted brand that make top quality long lasting and safe products so are sure that they will outlast cheaper brands. Our scales should last another 12 years with these!

I’ve purchased non name brand batteries and have experienced poor quality; longevity is the main driver on battery quality. My experience with energizer batteries have been above quality expectations and definitely easier to purchase at Lowe’s.
